I have recently visited the ego restaurant at Avenue Road, Nuneaton. It being my nearest for afternoon tea on impulse; for an afternoon treat.

On the last three recent occasions recently, I have been treated with distain; as I hadn't booked but there were obviously free tables. ON each occasion it seemed too much trouble and On the first and most recent occasion, my daughter and my husband were seated by the door at what was made obvious the least inconvenience to the staff.

On the first occasion my daughter and I had small bites, a pot of specialist tea, ice cream sundae and a soft drink. Not an order but the most elaborate order but surely on the not busy twilight shift, making money. I was to made to feel that it was too much trouble.

My next two visits I was served by a lady matre-de, who changed from being friendly to curt; when my husband and I only requested hot drinks and again we were offered seats that would not inconvenience the unwilling staff; sadly after I had made a point of making conversation with the said lady waitress/supervisor.

The only redeeming aspect was the kind and corneous male member of staff Shaun, who took our money.

Eat at Cannock last night, lovely food and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Shout out to Steph, for her bubbly, helpful personality. Have booked for January.

I took my daughter in law to Chelmsford ego for lunch today for her birthday along with my son and Grandaughter, we had booked a table it took over 20 minutes to ask if we would like drinks and timing just got worse with each course.food arrived on cold plates which made the food luke warm,they were quite busy I admit,but just maybe a word that food was coming would have been nice and warm plates would have helped,they were great when they first opened but unfortunately have gone down hill over time.very disappointed it will be my last visit

Really poor service and overall poor experience. Shame really. But won't be going back

The second time we've been to ego punchbowl in Sefton.
A really great place food is fantastic the staff are very very good. We had a lovely lady ( Edyta ) she could not have been nicer nothing was too much for her there was 17 of us and she made sure we where all happy.
She is a credit to the company and the reason we will be back, thank you.

Came here for my anniversary and both the food and staff were excellent. We had Dermot as our server and he was so friendly and went the extra mile. Would definitely come back!

The staff are lovely and the service prompt. The food on the other hand was awful. I chose Moroccan lamb. It was so dry and definitely over cooked. It was stuck to the bottom of the serving dish and slightly burnt. The rest of the dish consisted of grated carrot with sultanas, a small dish of humus and two slices of toast. I had a soup starter which was over seasoned and was served again with toast. All in all very disappointing.This was off the gluten free menu. This was at the Mossley, Ashton branch. It has put me off going again. The staff knocked 20% off. The bill was still over £60 even with the discount.

Have visited this resteraunt a few times ,and on my recent visit,returned my meal because potatoes where over cooked,my meal was then returned,after the rest of my party had finished there meal.My potatoes were no different to the meal I returned.I will not be going back to this resteraunt.

First time I have been to this restaurant. There were 6 adults, 3 children. We were there for my daughters birthday, the service was terrible, the wait on food was 50 mins after ordering, the manager came over to tell when it was put through the till , no apology. She actually tried to blame us for the long delay. When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing, then going to not very nice . Definitely would not recommend a visit

Called into Stockton Heath, this evening (15th) we had not booked a table, and didn't think we would get in, we were greeted by Fiona, who found us a table.
Food was excellent, as was the friendly service by Fiona. Definitely be going again soon.

Location Mere Green check the menue as the early meal deal steaks are in grams and the main menue in ounces, thus 160gram steak before cooking is 5.6 ounces and that would equare to approx 4 ounces cooked for £14.90. An 8 ounce is aprox £21 do the maths

extremely poor service. food came late and was like warm....we have been before and it was lovely but won't be going back. lots of lovely restaurants near by so don't waste your money at ego

I used to love Ego restaurants but I have noticed a real change in the food. Smaller portions that are of a poor pub grub quality now. Also the desserts are sickly. I'm going to go elsewhere from now on.

Visited Ego / Fox Cub at Little Hoole in Lancashire.. We have visited for over 15 years now, but unfortunately that was our final visit.
Ordered Tiger Prawn Starter, which was very delicious indeed, however, under closer inspection: Each Tiger Prawn had been sliced in two??.. Obviously to give the appearance of more quantity🤬.. This was not an isolated issue as my wife and I noticed other diners too, eating sliced in two Tiger Prawns... Nearly £10.00 for this Starter, EGO are surely pulling a 'Fast One' and conning Customers, which quite frankly is unethical and maybe illegal??
My Main Course {Gluten Free} Meal arrived: Roast Lamb, which was advertised in EGO's Gluten Free Menu to come with Potatoes, Veg and a Verde... I just received a Plate with tiny pieces of burnt Lamb and over cooked asparagus laying on top of it... I asked the Waitress about the Missing items to which she replied: ' That's the Gluten Free' version of the Meal as the Potatoes contain Gluten!! {Incorrect Menu and NO SUBSTITUTE OFFERED?} £21.00 for some burnt Lamb & spoiled Asparagus..
I refused the Meal as it looked disgusting, rufused to pay and promptly left EGO Little Hoole, and shall NEVER return.

I am extremely disappointed of the service I have literally just received, I walked in on 15/08/24 at 12.49pm with my friend and little girl to be greeted by a young man at the front of house. I stated we wanted just drinks and was advised to sit on the stools near the bar (fine), I have pulled my back and wanted to sit somewhere more comfortable so I was willing to have lunch there just to get a better seat (feels wrong) to be told everything is fully booked and they have no seating for us. The gentleman did not even check the booking!

The place was practically empty at 12.30pm on a Thursday. I am EXTREMLY DISAPPOINTED, this is my local pub and I have been here numerous times due to living round the corner in Lymm Heatley Mere. I just can't believe the way we were just dismissed. I have never had bad service here! I work for an online Reputation company and no how important service/feedback is to a public house and it customers, please feed this back. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a public house like this especially being my local which I used to love and visit so often.

Kenilworth: Attratto dall’offerta del mercoledì sono andato per una cena di coppia. Ristorante pieno e caotico a tal punto che non sentivo la persona difronte a me. Cibo buono, camerieri molto gentili ma per due portate abbiamo aspettato 2 ore e mezza! E al tavolo affianco, arrivato prima di noi, è andata anche peggio. Penso di non tornarci!

I regularly visit Ego’s Nuneaton for lunch with a friend and we are always greeted with a warm welcome by the team and our coffees are always brought to wherever we are sitting.
Our regular waitress Jody is always professional, courteous and always has time for us. We have tried other restaurant’s in the area (for a change) however we are always drawn back to Jody and the team for the warm and friendly welcome followed by the excellent service they provide.
I cannot recommend Ego’s Nuneaton highly enough.

Hi I go to egos Nuneaton quite often on a lunch time with my friend we have a regular waitress named JODY she is breath of fresh air she’s very professional but will have a laugh & a joke with us like a Friend and makes our visits keep wanting to come back

Went to the Ego restaurant in Longton, Preston yesterday at 5pm. The food was very poor and substandard in comparison to the lovely restaurant and pub. The ambiance, staff and fit out are all lovely. Place= 5/5. Food 1/5. (I suspect quite a few items are frozen and warmed up, not home cooked)

I am very disappointed in how the service went tonight, we was sat in front of the kitchen all night and we started laughing at the food what was sat in the kitchen warmer for a good 15 minutes. To be told it should be like that. I’ve come before it’s been fine. To spend 300 pound between 9 of us should have been ok!
