Absolutely appalling experience with Dream Lease. The name should be Nightmare Lease.

The whole process was stressful from start to finish. Once you’ve accepted the quote and the finance is in place, communication seems to disappear. I was constantly chasing for updates because nobody kept me informed. Getting through on the phone is almost impossible, and when you do manage to speak to someone, you don’t get any meaningful help.

To make matters worse, my brand new Volkswagen ID.5 developed a fault within days of delivery and after only 140 miles. The AA attended and believe the clicking noise is coming from the electric motor, but because it’s under warranty they couldn’t repair it. Volkswagen can’t inspect the car for around a month, and Dream Lease have completely distanced themselves, saying they’re only the introducer and effectively washing their hands of the situation.

I appreciate they may not be responsible for carrying out warranty repairs, but good customer service doesn’t end once the paperwork is signed. At the very least, I expected someone to help coordinate with VWFS or the supplying dealer, instead I’ve been left to fight every battle myself.

I’ve been passed from one company to another with nobody taking ownership of the problem. When you’re spending this kind of money on a lease, you expect support when something goes wrong, especially within the first week of having the vehicle.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Dream Lease to think carefully. The experience has been the complete opposite of what their name suggests.

I’ve used DreamLease twice now purely for the people who work there. I wanted to give more than 5* to Skye who has gone above and beyond even sorting paperwork with me past closing hours. I couldn’t thank her enough and this review doesn’t do justice the time, effort and compassion she has put into helping me with this new car. Despite being in a really difficult situation with my current car, Skye made sure everything was sorted and took on all the responsibilities herself to ensure a smooth transition. As a Director myself, I wish I had a team of Skye’s working for me. DreamLease is lucky to have her.

The communication and touch points from raising my interest and sharing my quotes was spot on. Not too much and too many nonfictions chasing me or pressurising me.
Martin was extremely helpful and answered my queries quickly and made it very clear what would happen next in the process.

Zane handled my very first tentative steps into leasing a car and proved himself to be very friendly and patient while I hit him with a multitude of genuine and a few silly questions and was very reassuring and went out of his way throughout the process of leasing.I am sure I will have more too. Hopefully when the car arrives that process goes just as well and I get a couple of happy years motoring.

When I first showed interest in a car, Zane called me very quickly and answered all my questions and was very helpful but not pushy, just friendly. We agreed that I would have a think over the weekend before committing to leasing a new vehicle. I made my mind up to proceed so called Zane on the Monday and he organised everything quickly and efficiently. We then had a slight pricing issue between Dreamlease and VW. This delayed things for a couple of weeks and despite my frustration with this, even though it was not Zane’s problem he answered all my emails quickly and kept chasing VW up for me and eventually got everything sorted for me. Overall I received excellent service from Zane.

Submitted the application, Martin was quick to follow up with a call the next morning. Helpful with the different options and prices. Paper work was simple to fill in, process was very straight forward.
