Smooth process from start to finish

I've used Doordeals a few times now and their prices and customer service is excellent. I've just had to cancel an order and Doordeals immediately stopped the imminent delivery and issued super fast refund. Great company to deal with!

Although I signed for the door arriving undamaged, the quality of the door was hugely disappointing.

I ordered the door on the basis that all the photographs of the hemlock doors on the Doordeals website show doors made from beautiful pristine quality unblemished timber, suitable for varnish finishing . . . and that was what I expected. Instead, after almost a 2-month wait, I received a door made from what can only be described as low grade 'B' quality timber with over 30 knots and resin defects, including some Doordeals attempts to cover up with cream filler.

I sent Doordeals an email with my complaint and included photographs showing some of the knots etc. They never replied.

The door is not suitable for varnishing, requires considerable sanding effort, filling etc, and then coating with shellac based primer to prevent any knot and resin bleed-through, and then application of a paint finish. All this is additional labour and cost I had not anticipated.

To be honest, I'm considering chucking the door in the skip and buying elswhere . . . if only I knew where I can buy a decent quality door!

This is the 3 time we have ordered from Doordeals and each time has been excellent, good order process and not long waiting times, had to delay order being delivered as we were not available and was accommodated with ease, delivery arrived within timeslot we were advised and driver called 30 minutes before, would highly recommend

Great service throughout

Doors arrived 4th April and I contacted the company immediately to alert them there was a blue "stamp" mark on the hemlock door, as well as some imperfections in the wood work which will require me to get someone in the fix the issues and paint the doors which I was planning to oil and leave with a natural look. I was told they are supplied ready finish so would require sanding, painting and filling which is not in line with the description on the website. The specification is "suitable" for painting.
"These external hemlock doors are supplied with flat ply panels, which particularly suit doors which are to be painted.

As ready-to-finish doors, a modicum of preparation may be required on-site, pin-holes and loose knots may need filling and light sanding may be required before applying a finish to your doors".

No where does it say that they must be prepared and painted and implies that a "finish" re a varnish would be acceptable. Clearly this is not the case for me considering how much prep work was required and the HUGE stamp on the ply panel that will not sand out and is still visible after a primer and 4 coats of paint! After weeks of discussion I was offered no compensation or anything and was told that since I had now painted the doors there was nothing they could do. Yes after waiting almost 2 months for the doors to arrived I was keen to have them fitted and only then was the severe issue noticeable.

Ordered 1 Hemlock pattern 10 Door with Cotswold Glass and was told delivery between 3-5 weeks. A few days later we receive an email stating it will be 4-6 weeks delivery which we were okay with. It is now week 6 and we have not received our door and after emailing for an update we have been told "the previously communicated lead time was given in the best faith.

Once your door is in our warehouse we will do everything we can to get them to you as soon as we can.

As it stands I don't yet have a concrete update from from our supplier in regards to a delivery date,

Rest assured your order is currently on our priority list therefore the supplier should see this as urgent".

This is not acceptable as we are waiting for this door to finish a job for our customer to receive our final payment. It is a shame as we are a medium sized company and would have used this company for all our bespoke doors but never again. After reading reviews online it seems that this company is doing this to everyone. Would recommend buying elsewhere and not to give this company any money until they can sort out their production.

Poor quality of the external door been delivered

Not a great experience!
The doors were delayed so took longer than there estimated 3-5 weeks (took over 6), i asked customer service how much longer the doors would be after 5 weeks only to be told the dude to holidays etc doors would be more like 5-7 weeks & if i wasn't happy i could cancel the order!
The doors were delivered by their own driver which was good but the double glazed units had glue all over them & covered in dust, again i contacted customer services only to be told to clean them off, just seems they don't care about their product or customers & its more of an "it'll do attitude"
I will never use them again & would rather find another company that hopefully has a better service! SHOCKING!!!!

Very helpful friendly sales staff. Great communication via emails. But Caught delivery driver dragging my door across the drive which made a terrible sound and the door hardly had any protection on just a thin bit of cardboard and plastic. Slightly damaged the door so I rejected it and it went back on the van. The driver was vacant and indifferent and nonplused. I Complained and received excellent support a chap in sales and consequently from Michelle in logistics and she organised an independent courier to send a replacement door in next couple of days which has now arrived on 30/8/24. This time the door was wrapped like you’ve never seen before in thicker stronger cardboard and foam corners and thick harder plastic wrap. This was a complete contrast to the original delivery which was barely wrapped up. The joiner said he’s never seen a door so well wrapped. It was like a different company had sent it and the courier (DX) was completely different and helpful and carried the door all the way to the garage. After all the unwrapping door deals had sent back exactly the same damaged door - we checked my photos with this door and the damage was the same as was our peeling from before to check the damage. So mixed feelings: good and bad really. Why didn’t the original delivery have much wrapping on? Or was this door deals being somewhat sarcastic and concealing the previous damage? Why was their original courier a bit vacant and slow and dragging my door across the drive with barely any protection? Why was the independent courier so much better than the daft courier from door deals? Why send back the door I rejected? I’m not sure I would or wouldn’t use these guys again.. there is plenty to like about the company and their staff and communication if I’m honest but the door dragging driver didn’t show care or respect and sending the same door back is not funny.
