Cool app for kids!
Very interesting app for kids to study…
Very interesting app for kids to study languages (ours choosed chineese). What is important, it is also of a good quality (cartoons, pictures, texts, games, design).
My daughter struggled with learning…
My daughter struggled with learning French in school, but with Dinolingo she’s improved so much! She’s learned way more in the short time she’s used Dino lingo than in school!
I cannot cancel the subscription
I cannot cancel the subscription. I can't see it anywhere in the app nor in Google play store
Not as advertised. Low-quality
The videos you show are extremely obnoxious. A variety of weird animations, very little dialogue, really weird characters, annoying little musical interludes that last longer than the dialog. Weirded out both my children and they refused to do any more. People shouldn't be paying for this to be honest. Yall need to completely re-do your kid version. It also feels really mentally erratic and overstimulating without any educational value. I was hoping it'd be closer to, like, sesame street but in Spanish with some fun educational games.
My kids really love this so far
My kids really love this so far. It is very kid friendly, interactive and I love that it has the pictures and words combined but only in the language they are trying to learn.
Needs more options for intermediate and advanced users
It would be great if there were different levels ie beginner, intermediate and advanced. My son already has a lot of experience, so most if the lessons are too easy for him and really just a review. He loves the videos and games, it's a shame it's not more challenging for him.
I'm almost done with my first week in…
I'm almost done with my first week in russian and have been really pressing through the units. I'll give it a full paid month to see how it goes, but this is what I've noticed so far, pros and cons. Pros: The animations are very cute and engaging. Looks like moving clip art, but VERY cute. Four stars for that. It's immersive and provides the written russian in small letters so you can familiarize with the written language, but it's not actually taught or emphasized in any way. This is how kids learn best so that's great. The words are repeated several times throughout the lessons, then there's a practice test and there's a test at the end of each unit. It motivates the user by issuing participation "coins" throughout the practices which as far I can tell, don't actually do anything. It's kind of just a show of how many points/coins you can rack up. And then if you get a 90% or higher on the test, you earn a little dino badge to add to your collection of dino badges and you can move onto the next unit. It's a cute concept. The lessons also come with multiple printables for each unit which often include some sort of educational "poster", a vocab list with pictures, flash cards, and worksheets for practice. The work sheets are very basic and simple. The flash cards are words and matching images.
As far as cons go, the issue with the flash cards is that they don't cut out nicely at all. The way they print, the word doesn't fit on the back nicely, and the flash cards often have to be cut at weird angles and shapes, rather than square. It's a bit awkward and takes some fixing. The flash cards are the most necessary printable for me so this is a huge hit for satisfaction. I also notice sometimes that during the lessons, the little characters' mouths move, but no words are emitted. I can't tell if the company is reusing animations from other languages so they don't add words as they just wouldn't fit, or if words are supposed to be there and nobody caught the error in production so it's just music and no words being spoken. I think if you're paying for a service, whatever pieces are being offered should work smoothly at 100%. As I said with the printables and with the missing audio, this doesn't seem to be the case with dinolingo. I am someone who has seen with my second language that flashcards can make a huge difference in retention and usage, so having them premade to learn my third language was a strong factor for choosing dinolingo. If they were flawless, the amount of time they save would be amazing. I hope they fix it.
Pictures are not clear as to what they represent.
Thought this would be great for my daughter, but it was clear right at the start that the pictures weren't clear to even know what they were supposed to be. There were dogs & cats, a dog with an arrow pointing at its head, a cat licking it's paws but when learning a new language, you need to know exactly what you are looking at when your native language isn't referenced. There was no way this was going to work for my children.
Not engaging

Nice interactive app for kids!
Fin, interactive, and it allows you to create different profiles if you have multiple kids. Really well made!

The lessons are wonderful and my kids are doing awesome learning fast . However there seems to be online glitches with it that happens frequently
This company needs to dissolve itself or improve
This company doesn't refund or improve your experience using this app. I had to pay twice to get some information for my students and I still have problems getting into the PAID website.
I will no longer use this website or company; I have opened it up maybe 4-6 times to plan for my students and could not show them any videos or play any games.
Videos are terrible quality
Although the ultimate goal of my daughter learning words in Swahili is being achieved, we often are baffled by the videos. They seem very random and poorly done.
