I was given 4 wk wait for a Perpetual calander but it was sent within a week & arrived in Perth AU extremly fast.
The cost from Europe was expensive but item still a lot less costly to buy from Design Italy. Very happy with my second purchase from them.

Beautiful website with great curation of items and responsive sales team.
That is where it ends.
Post-sale communication was really terrible. The items were exceptionally late - taking more than 3 months to arrive. Customer service needed to be chased up regularly for follow-ups. When the goods were transferred to the courier company, DesignItaly handed over responsibility for fulfilling their contract to them - rather than caring about making sure their customer got a good experience.

Shipping was expensive at £1,200 but only includes kerbside delivery. DesignItaly didn't explain that or give any nice customer touches on what to expect with the delivery.
The goods themselves came in massive crates and we had to hire a handyman to come and disassemble the crates and unpack. This took a further hour (plus the cost) and I now have a load of crates I have to get rid of (more cost).

It is far from a polished service. As a customer, I felt very poorly treated and at times believed that they were not going to fulfil my order.

Given the additional costs, the high price of shipping and the truly horrible hassle, I wouldn't recommend shopping here. The site and curation are nice, so perhaps you could use it as a search engine and then find the products you want locally.

We love the object we ordered ( a wine decanter), and though DHL misdelivered it to the wrong person, designitaly promptly sent us a new one!

Design Italy is efficient, courteous, reliable and trustworthy. They also cost much less when you buy directly from them. For the same two bar stools, 1Dibs quoted me a price. I found the items on Design Italy website and bought them at 35% less. I noticed 1Dibs’ shipping cost is extremely high.

The decanter is beautiful and arrived in perfect condition. However shipping took too long. It was several weeks before the item was actually shipped.

Speedy international (but very expensive) shipping.

*I would still highly recommend and shop from again, as the bookshelf I ordered is beautiful!

I ordered a bespoke piece of furniture from Design Italy. The process was simple and communication on the status of my order was excellent.

When it came time to deliver, my chair was packed almost too well as I had to make sure to dispose of all the wooden pallets :)
