I uploaded my advert to their website and after reading reviews online thought it would be worth trying to sell my Fiat 500 through them. Overnight I was contacted by 2 "dealers" and was asked to pay... Se mere

Lots of interest and a nice buyer
Just sold our Tiguan to Motormarket letchworth. The sales guy couldn't have been more helpful with the explaining how everything works and the car was collect from the dealer we were picking our new car up from on the same day. Very professional, and a great experience.
Good stuff
I found the site quite awkward to use but it does work. A number of enquiries but Steve from motor market was brilliant took an interest in the car and took care of everything I have to say despite offering more than anyone else that Steve was fun and made everything painless and easy. I would definitely recommend Steve to any sellers and hope whoever buys my car has as much enjoyment out of her as I have.
Thank you Victoria
The dealer we sold to was great to deal with and collected the car the next day which is certainly not what I was expecting. The site itself though I found very tricky to use having a problem uploading photos in the right order but Victoria sorted after a couple of emails.
Waste of time
I put on 2 vehicles on Dealer bid. A 2 year old Mercedes E220 Convertible and a Citroen Relay van 10 months old. Both in excellent condition details and pictures supplied.
A week later not one enquiry in the message system, not one offer.
Complete waste of time and money I can considering whether to raise a PayPal dispute.
Easy sale but tricky website
Moving back to germany so needed to sell the car reasonably quickly or leave it with a friend to move on which wasnt ideal. Listed the car and got a number of offers which in all fairness werent too bad. The issue I do have is that the site is very difficult to use and looks quite outdated like it was made years ago. The dealer was nice enough who collected the car and there was no problem with payment etc.
Good compromise between selling privately and to a buying site but spend some money on improving your user experience.
Very happy
Have never used this method to sell a car before and but everything has been very easy and quick. We sold our car to redline cars who have been great to deal with. They offered nearly £600 more than anybody else on the site and collected the same week with no problems at all.
A very quick and easy way to sell for a sensible price.
AVOID
Total waste of time, not only is the site horrible to use, once you have paid and advertised your car you can not amend the information without having to delete and rekey all the inforamtion. The site is totally unreliable, kept crashing and freezing (and no it was not my PC). After all my hard work not a single reponse to my ad. I honestly think NO one viewed my car details. Save your money and use gumtree, exchange&mart or AutoTrader. Please avoid this site, it not worth it.
In a word, Poor!
I thought for a tenner I'd give it a go but from the off I was disappointed.
The photos I uploaded for the car didn't show, I tried numerous times to add them but they just wouldn't upload, plus to edit the car details you have to re-enter a load of the details again and again which is very annoying.
I had to contact customer services twice to get them to upload the photos.
I did eventually receive a couple of enquiries from companies miles away, but it was clear these were automated emails and I didn't hear back, after googling a company that contacted me I'm glad they didn't!
I would not use them again nor would I recommend.
No customer service if you come across problems!
It's not often I feel the need to publish a negative review of a company as the repercussions, often unintended, can cause a loss in business which is something we try to avoid. However, when a company totally disregards you as a paying customer, it is then that others should be aware of how they operate and what they can expect when using the same service.
I came across [external reference] from reading a thread on a car forum. Although the reviews were mixed, my eagerness for a quick sale of my car favoured the positive comments. It seemed pretty simple; input a description of your car, upload some photos and wait for contact from dealers. The catch is, this is only the case if you don't run in to problems on their website.
DAY 1:
I was able to input my details along with the car description without a problem. When it came to uploading photos, the site seemed to grind to a halt which after around 10mins (including a coffee break) resulted in having to start from the beginning again. This wasn't a problem as it only takes a few minutes once you know what you are writing. I got back to the upload screen and this time the photos appeared...but as broken link icons. I imagined this was something to do with the browser at the time (Chrome/ Mac OS X Mavericks) so I carried on finishing the form and paid the fee at the end.
Please note that if you decide to make any changes to your advert on this site, you have to start from page one and input your details all over again.
Having received my paypal receipt via email, I thought it was a little strange seeing the payment was made to a person rather than a business. Nevertheless, I logged in to my account online to activate my advert to view and realised that it wasn't actually showing on the site. I tried a few other browsers; Firefox, IE and Safari with no luck on any. I know in the older days that you used to have to wait a few hours for an advert to go live so I decided to try again later.
DAY 2:
The next day I tried again and the advert was still not live. The main reason I decided on putting an advert here was for a quick sale - this wasn't the plan. I contacted dealerbid via their contact form and was delighted when I received a response within 10mins. My pictures were up and I could view the advert under my account settings. The only problem was that I could only view it in my account settings and not on the main website. I asked my partner to try on her phone but realised that [external reference] is not optimized for mobile devices. We tried on the desktop computer and laptop under different browsers and could not find the advert. On top of that, when I specified in my return email for the main image to be a picture of the car, I found they had used a picture of the steering wheel!
This is when the service started going down-hill. I sent another request to why my advert was not on the site via the online contact form and also to the direct email of the lady that had previously contacted me. I had no response for the rest of that day.
DAY 3:
I sent another email to the same lady again, an email to [external reference]which is their contact on the website and another one via the contact form. I had no response again for the rest of the day.
The lady who replied to my initial email happened to have a link to her Facebook and Twitter pages in her email signature so having clicked the links, found that she was actually active that day and posting updates about [external reference]
I had the impression I was being ignored knowing the workers were still active but not replying to my concerns.
DAY 4:
I was quite annoyed at this point and decided not to bother pursuing the claim and rely on advertising elsewhere. I sent a claim for a refund via Paypal as I could not obtain contact with the company - even the phone number they provide on their website doesn't get answered!
Here's where the most ridiculous thing happens. On their Paypal refunds policy, the address in which you need to make a claim is [external reference] which I sent an email to outlining my problem. Now within 15mins, my car is showing up on the website with the lovely picture of the steering wheel as the main photo!
Obviously there is someone picking these emails up so I send another email to the same address explaining I'm not happy with the service and low and behold, no response!
I really do give up with [external reference], I've never had such customer service through any company I have ever dealt with...mainly because you don't get any!
Good way to sell
Just sold my car using the service and have been very impressed with the level of interest in my car. Saved me some time and returned a much better price than webuyanycar.com.
Car was collected today with no trouble bit gutted though as just had another offer thru earlier today £200 more but hey ho!
Pointless IMO
No offers, bids, contact at all in over a week from any dealers
Having contacted Dealerbid via email, phone and messaging service to ensure i had listed my vehicle correctly, i have so far received ZERO feedback from dealerbid - do they even have staff?????
Most pointless £10 ever spent!
excellent website
An excellent result with the dealer bid website. I sold my car quickly with no hassle and got £800 more than any of the other online sites i tried.
I had a number of offers some better than others and eventually sold to crossland vehicles in Ramsey. They picked my car up with no fuss and didnt go back on their original offer.
