Best price for Land Rover
Had a couple of weeks to try and sell our car before part exchanging for our new one. Had a few enquiries about the car same day we listed on the website then a message from crosslands vehicles in Ramsey about a week later.
They made an extremely good offer and arranged to collect the car from the dealer we were buying our new car from a week later so we weren't without transport.
They were extremely polite and everything couldn't have been easier.
The final price we got for the car (which was a Land Rover Discovery) was nearly a thousand pounds more than Evans halshaw had offered us to part exchange so could not complain at all.
TOTALLY USELESS!!!
Site claims to get your car in front of £'000s of dealers UK wide who are genuinely looking for 2nd hand cars.
I am selling a Ford Fiesta which is less than 4 years old. It's got full service history and full 1yr MOT and according to various websites is one of the most popular 2nd hand cars on the market.
I purposely didn't set a price as I wanted to gauge the interest. there has been none ! Just one robot response asking me about the condition of the car and whether it was finance free; both of which were answered in my detailed description and one text from a site called listmycar asking me to log onto them to sell my car! I expected real people to make contact and realistically believed I would receive some form of offers. Don't waste your money... It's been a useless experience so far!
Didn't work for me!
Clearly from customer feedback on Trustpilot, this website works well for some people, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me. In fairness, the website itself is quite easy to use, with intuitive navigation and easy upload of photographs for your vehicle. Also, I did get three very quick responses from what appeared to be genuine buyers.
There were also two responses that were clearly from "robots". In two cases, they asked me what I wanted for the car!
However, I did reply to all of them - three directly as requested by the senders and two via dealerbid. In all cases, I still have not received a reply.
One thing in its favour is that at £12, it's a relatively cheap way of advertising your car and gauging interest.
So, in my opinion, potential users have a couple of choices - give this website a try and see what kind of response you get, or do what I did and sell your car through a well-known wheeler-dealer in Sheffield.
Very quick collection
Didn't realise the site actually works the way it does but have been impressed with the system and in particularly the dealer who collected my car on a Sunday after agreeing a price just the day before.
Quite a bit of interest in the car within a few hours and certainly the best price I could find online without resorting to eBay etc
Not sure what bots means but all the enquiries I had were certainly polite and it was nice to not be messed about as I had been as honest as possible with the condition.
The android app link did not work though so could not install your app on my phone for the chat function.
Terrible. The only offers I got were fake bots. AVOID!
This website is a con. I had two offers which were fake, I made 2 accounts with different emails with similar cars advertised and received the same uniform message to both accounts. I responded to both asking for more information - none of which were given. AVOID!
Great buyer found
Have been messed around by a couple of well known car buying websites who I believe are simply making prices tempting to just waste your time when they expect the car to be brand new.
It was a refreshing change to find a genuine company in the dealerbid website who stood by their word and paid me what they said they would.
Very reluctant to use this method to sell a car but have to say my faith has somewhat been restored.
Very quick sale, a good price (which was honoured) and car also collected. All for a tenner so very happy with that too.
Will certainly recommend and use again should the need arise.
Quick collection, good price, nice dealer
Advertised our Range Rover and started getting enquiries about it the first day.
After sending a few more details and uploading some photos of the car we had a handful of offers on the table.
Sold to motor market who were really quick to arrange collection and paid us what was agreed.
Only thing could do with improving is photos as mine were too big and you couldn't see properly on the search.
Bogus robot replies and duplicate charges
When listing I ended up being charged multiple times and it has taken an age to have sorted. Because they also work through PayPal, it will take weeks to see my money again. What is more irksome is the automated robot responses you get from (two in particular) companies claiming to be interested in the vehicle. This is just a mechanism to make you pay the fee and unlock the (useless) message.
I'm sure other experiences listed here are quite different. But on my experience I would never use them again or recommend them.
Good comparison and didn't knock price
I had initially agreed a sale with wbac but they wanted to knock me down by four hundred pounds when I took car to them. Had also already had their initial offer matched by redline cars on dealerbid site so accepted their offer. They collected the same week and didn't knock the price down.
The website is not easy to use on your phone.
Better price and nice polite dealer
spent a number of weeks trying to sell my car private will little success. Obtained a reasonable figure from a car valuation company but they decided the car wasn't as I'd explained on their appraisal and wanted to reduce the price by £600. Total rubbish as I had explained everything to someone on the phone.
Decided to advertise the car on the dealerbid site and had enquiries the same day wanting further information etc. I have to say that some of the enquiries were clearly automated from some of the car buying sites as they wanted me to contact them to discuss figures etc.
In the end I agreed a sale with Cleverautomotive who were extremely polite and answered my messages quickly. They paid more than my original offer, transferred payment to me before taking the car and didn't try to mess me about and change the price.
Would use them and the site again when selling. Certainly quicker and cheaper than eBay and didn't waste my time. Only criticism is I found the site somewhat tricky to navigate when it comes to editing your listing and leaving feedback. I also had to email support as was still getting enquiries after I had sold and couldn't figure out how to remove the advert.
Waste of my time
I went for £13 option which apparently gave you better advertising. Got 4 responses within the hour. All similarly written and all asking me what I wanted to sell car for. I understood THEY would me making me an offer. I answered all of them and only 1 responded with an offer that was 10-15% less than WeBuyAnyCar. Got him to raise it by £100 but ended up selling car to WeBuy and after their usual deductions, got the same price. This despite informing all 4 parties of my offer from WeBuy.
So all that time taking photos of car and regularly checking the website was fruitless. I gave it a week but no further interest came my way. Maybe it was the wrong forum for an 11yr old RAV4 with low mileage? Or my expectations were wrong? Oh well, you have to try every avenue...
Very quick and easy sale
Found the site relatively easy enough to use but was expecting valuations to pop up straightaway which they don't but I can now totally appreciate why this is the case.
I had quick interest in the mini I was selling with some questions about the extras and service details. The buyer sellacar was brilliant, explained how their offer is an offer not a valuation so wouldn't be changed this is why they check the extras and things. They offered a little bit more than anyone else and collected the car on my return from holiday. True to their word they made no attempt to change the price.
Very quick sale for a slightly better price and a very professional and polite buyer.
Second time we have used the site
I am a Chartered Quality Consultant Professional and I have my own Management Consultancy Company. We have sold two vehicles now through the dealerbid system and on both occasions the dealer buying the car has been absolutely superb, extremely relaxed and with a nice laid back approach.
I really can't fault the site other than it is rather difficult to use on mobile, it does work but it’s quite tricky to open menus etc. The prices we have been given on both occasions are more than we have been able to obtain elsewhere online but certainly not private prices. I’m guessing some of the negative comments for the site are probably from people expecting way over trade price but this isn’t the case (not for me anyway). I cannot recall the price for our last vehicle but the Q7 we have just sold to Morgans was just short of £600 more than webuyanycar etc. So certainly less than what I could have got selling privately but I simply do not have the time or patience. I check prices online and if this is the best price I can obtain through this type of quick selling then I make a decision to sell or keep the vehicle for longer.
I’m under no illusion that a dealer is going to offer me £2000 more than your “random car buying site” so I have always been realistic with what to expect and I think this is why the things have been very smooth with both sales. Going in asking for an inflated price is going to get you nowhere, I’ve found being upfront with the dealers with what you have been offered is appreciated by them as it saves a lot of messing around and at least gives you some figures to compare and mull over.
The site does work if you use it correctly. These are actual dealers and car buying companies in person not computer software.. be honest with your description and what you have been offered and you should have no problems. Trying to pull the wool over one of these guys who obviously know their trade inside out isnt going to do you any good.
Sold in a day
Verry happy to have used your website. We sold our car on the same day we put it on and had lots of interest from different dealers. Crosslands could not have been nicer, they were honest and explained how everything would be completed. Collected my car and didn't try to change their price. i have tried to leave positive feedback for them on your site but cannot seem to see how to do.

Quick and easy
Decided I wanted to buy a new car. Having found the car I wanted, I wasn't happy with the part exchange value I was offered. When I got home I looked on the usual car buying websites who were offering about the same figure. I came across Dealerbid and thought I'd try it out. I was offered significantly more than anywhere else without the hassle and expense of selling privately. Would highly recommend this website as a way to sell your car quickly and easily for more than you would get via the conventional methods.
Absolutely 5*
I needed to sell my car (Land Rover Discovery) quickly as we were moving house and only had parking for two cars. After doing my research and checking out prices on lots of different car buying sites I came across dealerbid. The site generated considerable interest in my car within a few hours which after spending s small fortune advertising privately for just over a month was a pleasent surprise. Hugh from crosslands agreed a sale only a small amount behind what I was expecting to sell privately and was miles ahead of everyone else.
Although price was obviously important we only had a few days to conclude the sale. Hugh could not have been more helpful, he arranged to collect the car a couple of days later and made payment directly into our account by transfer.
Approximately eight hundred pounds better off, and a very easy and pleasent experience.
Sale of Porsche Spyder
Was expecting a price immediately which didn't happen (my mistake for not reading how the site works) but a great system. Similar to the likes of eBay when it comes to listing so can actually leave a description and some photos which I think other sites should be doing when it comes to pricing up something as expensive as a high end car.
Started to receive enquiries pretty much immediately but found it a bit unusual as some come via the site and some came directly from the dealer, think it would be better if all came via the site as I was a bit cautious about this especially with figures that we were talking about.
Offers were varied but after clarifying a few details regarding spec and condition most were way ahead of the competition. Actually agreed the sale with Hugh who made the final offer through the site and agreed how was going to pay and what had been agreed with regard to condion of the car.
The car was collected 4 days later by Hugh himself and the payment was made at the same time directly into my bank account.
Will certainly miss the car but was nice to deal with someone who appreciates such a lovely car and a professional.
Will certainly recommend the site and use it again. Very easy to use and a very good investment.

Pointless
A complete waste of time. Firstly I tried to list my car on their website and pay the £10 fee. I kept getting an error message that my card hadn't gone through even after trying with two different cards. I tried contacting them via phone and after a strange dialling tone it went to voicemail. I sent an email to check whether my payment had gone through and if I had been charged more than once as my car was listed twice. They haven't even had the courtesy to reply even after two emails. I think any respectable company would at least reply after a couple of days especially if it is about a payment issue. Eventually managed to pay through PayPal and got 4 enquiries immediately. Upon reflection I suspect they were automated responses as I received them on both listings. I replied to all 4 and never heard anything. So I would say it was completely pointless paying £10 for it. I have managed to sell my car privately and would not recommend this website at all.

Fast Alfa Sale
I had tried advertising my Alfa Romeo as a private sale via well known websites including Exchange & Mart, Motors.co.uk and Pistonheads but after a couple of months of scam emails and little else, I decided to give DealerBid a try based on the positive reviews I had read and my own research.
I listed my car on Monday 27th July and had some interest from dealers straight away, which turned into two firm offers to buy my car the next day. I sold my car this morning Wednesday 29th July for a fair price with the money transferred by Faster Payment directly into my bank account so all above board and safe.
I would definitely have not hesitation in recommending DealerBid to anyone wanting to sell their car quickly for a fair price.
