Absolutely terrible customer service – no delivery, no answers, no accountability

My experience with Currys customer service has been extremely disappointing. After two telephone conversations, I was promised that a manager would call me back within 24 hours. That call never came.

DPD never even attempted to deliver my item, yet I was repeatedly assured over the phone by customer service representatives that it would be delivered. The attitude of the people I spoke to was appalling: rude and unprofessional behaviour, yawning and sneezing down the phone, and comments suggesting that I should have reported the issue earlier. This is simply unacceptable when a customer is trying to resolve a problem with an order they have never received.

I subsequently tried to resolve the matter by email. I received a response once, but nobody has been able to tell me where my product actually is or explain clearly what has happened. I have now been told that the item is supposedly being returned to Currys, despite DPD never having attempted delivery in the first place.

What is particularly frustrating is the complete lack of clarity about what happens next. Nobody can tell me whether I should expect a refund or a replacement, and I have no reliable information about when or how this situation will be resolved.

Delivery problems can happen, but the way a company handles them makes all the difference. In this case, the lack of communication, failure to follow through on promised callbacks, and unacceptable attitude of customer service representatives have turned a straightforward issue into a thoroughly frustrating experience.

Overall, a truly awful customer service experience. I expected basic professionalism, clear communication and accountability. Unfortunately, I have received none of these. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Currys.

The staff were good when my cooker got delivered the guys were polite and knowledgeable but couldn't fit my cooker because the gas flow was wrong so I had to get a gas fitter to replace my pipe and fit the cooker so am hoping i can get a refund from curry's on the fitting because they did not do it

the sales man was very helpful but did not pressure us pick quickly .Gave us plenty of time to look without hanging on our shoulder. The delivery men were very good too.Had very helpful delivery men in the past.

In shop no chance to order a product witch is available online and always in not like in store .

I recently ordered a fridge-freezer and a washing machine online from Currys, and I could not be more impressed with the delivery service.
​Currys kept me fully informed by sending clear delivery updates a day in advance, and the delivery team phoned me 10 minutes prior to their arrival. When they arrived, the delivery gentlemen were polite, courteous, and extremely professional. They completed the delivery efficiently and handled everything with great care.
​Overall, it was a seamless experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Currys for their top-notch customer communication and excellent delivery service!

Excellent service ordered Tuesday and delivered Thursday, very easy to deal with and great delivery guys.

Went into shop found what I wanted. Was in stock. Lady went out back then returned with product. Payment sorted no fuss or messing around

I purchased a vax cordless vacuum and am happy with that item. Also purchased an iPhone charger with plug but unfortunately it didn’t fit my iPhone 16e. I had to return it the following day.
Advice and info regarding the various vacuums was very helpful and I think I made a good purchase on account of the help received. Happy overall.

3 days ago I wrote a review on trust pilot regarding a claim that has been ongoing for over 3 months, and curries replied

"Hi, We’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced. We just want to let you know that we will be responding to your email in full, however, we are currently experiencing a slight delay, but your email has been received and someone will contact you shortly to support you. Thank you for your patience. Currys"

I still haven't received an e mail so I called the customer service department. Because it was an out of warrantee claim the advisor couldn't update me on the progress so I asked to be transferred to speak to the claims department. The adviser said I couldn't be transferred to them and could only communicate via e mail. All she could do was e mail the claims department to tell them to contact me.

The issue is when I send an e mail to the claims department there procedure is to reply with in 10 working day (2 weeks) this explains why my claim is now over 3 months only and still not resolved.

It seems they are making the process of claiming as difficult and long winded as possible so they don't have to settle the claim. Why can`t I speak to an advisor over the phone??

Guess there will be another one star negative trust pilot review coming soon....

Update… 24/10/26

You will see from currys reply they are suggesting that I send in a 3rd party report. When submitting on trust pilot you can add your curry’s order number so they can track the case.
Firstly they have replied with an incorrect purchase date and incorrect item in question. Seems they can’t even access their records correctly.
Secondly I have already contacted the out of warrantee claims several times, paid for an engineer to come to look at the item, provided a full report at a cost of £98 and sent it to Curry’s out of warrantee claims team two and a half weeks ago and still not had a reply.

I don’t know what more I can do because I can’t speak to anyone and they aren’t responding to my e mails.
