It’s really handy having these cars so near by. The customer service team are very helpful as well.

Got rejected without any notice of why, wouldn't trust them if you are a looking to create an account with them and travel with medium to short notice.

Being held liable for a missing charging cable even though I stated it wasn't in the boot of the vehicle!
Despite stating I plugged in the vehicle using my own personal charging cable the fleet team decided I should be held responsible regardless!
Now my account has been suspended till I pay £99 for a new cable and the ridiculous £25 admin scam fee on top!
Safe to say I won't be using "crap" wheels again after the way I've been treated!

I will also not be paying any fees as I refuse to accept liability for the missing charging cable!

Very fast customer service support I reached due to my account not being approved and within a day I was back on to being able to hire cars

I needed help updating details of my Driving Licence - the upload wasn't working.
I received a most courteous and helpful message enabling me to do so quickly and easily. Well done Bobbie

Spoke to Kyle today in regards to a breakdown matter and I cannot thank him enough for the impeccable service and help he provided, let alone how quick he got it done. He resolved further issues caused by the matter efficiently and effectively and it is greatly appreciated.

I had technical problems trying to register as a member.
No help from the company at all.
Chat line not working
Telephone staff were stressed and refused to deal with my problem.
Email to customer service - "we don't help with these issues."

If a company can't be bothered to assist someone becoming a customer I'll go elsewhere.
Cannot recommend this car club!

Of course,I understand the need for proper identification. I did use my mobile phone in a well lit location but the images were not accepted. I actually contacted Rebecca ( and others) about this but they did not want to engage with my problem.

you are right, I did not speak to you - there were numerous communications with you staff and I got that mixed up.
I think you misunderstand my discontent, though.
I don't doubt the fact that the images you received were not adequate. The problem is that I don't seem to get a focused image using your web connection. My camera, when used directly in the same location and light gives excellent, sharp pictures.
My issue is not that the application need proper proof of my documents - it is prefectly reasonable. It is that your company immediately disengaged when I had technical problem and fed me standard responses which did not help.

As drivers in all kind of weather, we need quick answers. So far, so good.

Really good for short trips around town.

Beware though. I had a costly incident. I parked in a golf club car park at the edge of town and the telemetry box couldn't connect. Ended up with the AA coming to recover the car.

Had to get an expensive taxi to go pick up my daughter and carry heavy bags from where the car was recovered to.

The customer service wasn't good.

They aren't refunding my hire which is cheap of them and a crappy way to treat customers (who had been singing the companies praises to others)!

I'm afraid the review has to be edited. Your customer service is very poor.
I asked for a phone call with a manager to discuss your companies very poor system. It didn't happen.

I have been brushed off.

An opportunity for your company to learn where it could do better was my main focus and compensation for the trip. I didn't ask for more.

But you are rubbing salt in the wound here.

I have no access to a car at so I will reluctantly give you money still. But I will not be recommending your service.

Be wary folks. This is a company not to be trusted.

The customer service team has an incredibly complicated system in place. That didn't work for me. Nor did it work for the AA operative.

There was an opportunity for CoWheels to learn and improve. But they don't care.

Such prompt helpful service always, whether it’s the licence update admin or support with using a vehicle. Thanks guys.

Staff are extremley helpfull and provide an excellent service

I have just signed up to this company, as it seems a great idea for occasional car users in terms of the environment, cost, and effectiveness. I have had reason to contact them by phone and email a couple of times to clear up a couple of queries on my application, but I was verified within 12/24 hours and on inquiring, found that I could book a car through the app on my 'phone even before the smart card had arrived. The staff that I dealt with were efficient and friendly. Looking forward to my first booking and hopefully the 'feelgood'will continue.

*****Great concept making vehicles available only when necessary instead of everyone owning cars that are parked many more hours than the are used-reduces carbon emissions and all the materials for excessive numbers of cars.

My queries were answered clearly and promptly. Very helpful, and I would recommend them.

This company is understanding the market so well. With new cars and instant access on a temporary basis by app or card. The staff answer swiftly and sort any issues instantly and the cars (at least near me) have almost all been upgraded to 74/25 plates.

The only negative for me is I end up having to walk a while as I love a 24 hour rental but most customers like to use for 30-60 mins - so need to book in advance or choose a less popular location.

Staff are great and have never not resolved an issue. Cars are almost new and are cared for so it’s a win-win if you can get one when you want it- where you want it!

Glad they are favouring MG hybrid+ now instead of EV as it’s more convenient and most of them have the Trophy pack with air con/electric and heated seats plus 360 cameras.

Really good car, easy to use and really good customer service

Application keeps getting rejected, saying they want ‘clear and readable images’.

I’ve taken crystal clear pictures, exactly how they have requested, ensuring both my face and licence are in focus.

I’ve also used my mobile, as they recommend and their app to do so, is completely rubbish. You take a picture which looks perfect, and then the app won’t even let you upload it. I’ve had others take the picture for me with rear facing camera for better quality, and still rejected.

I couldn’t upload better pictures if I tried or paid a photographer to do them for me - which I suspect would get rejected anyway. Obviously won’t be doing that.

I called support, who offer no support - all they said is that it’s a new system and to try again.

You have to wait nearly 24 hours for your application to be reviewed again. The whole ordeal is frustrating for something that should be so simple.

I’ve given up and accepting defeat. Shame really.

Zoe was very helpful and cancelled my booking when I was too ill to take the trip I had planned.
