I had damaged drains that were backing up into my garden. They sent a contractor out to verify if this was covered by my insurance, he immediately said it was. It then took 3 months of battling to get them to agree to pay for the work. They obviously drag their feet and try to extend the process as long as possible in the hope that you cave and pay for the work yourself. Shameful.

I was advised to raise a complaint to the financial ombudsman, after I mentioned this my claim was processed and paid within 3 days.

Found Claims Consortium Group genuinely ok to deal with. They were courteous and helpful but one time when I needed to speak to the tech advisor urgently with reference to an issue, I could not get them to contact me back even though I left 3 messages over several days for them to do so.

Avoid like the plague ! They do not communicate with you at all. They do not reply to emails or return your phone calls. I have been trying to have my claim for water ingress dealt with quickly to avoid further damage yet 3 months later we still have a wet ceiling in part of the house and things are starting to go mouldy causing further damage. The lack of communication is shockingly bad. This company "manages" claims on behalf of insurance companies. This is not true as they are not managing anything from what I can see. Really disgusting when you are dealing with peoples homes that you can take so long without any communication. If there is a regulator for this type of business I hope you are taking note !
Claims Consortium Group - I do not want a reply saying please email our customer services department with your claim number as I have numerous times and not had any reply. We also call on and are told you will call us back and you don't ! You should not be allowed to trade as a business dealing with peoples homes and causing them more misery than from the original disaster than caused the claim in the first place.
