If no stars were available we would have given them nil stars.
We ordered a small telephone table delivery promised in 36 hours after five days I telephoned amazingly got to speak to some one, was informed they had attempted to deliver twice and we were not in. I checked cameras on house no deliveries questioned and were informed it was a mix up with distribution. The cupboard eventually arrived, were informed 5 to 12 days to organise replacement eventually informed delivery and exchange date. Driver arrived said he had only collection on sheet, when questioned he checked and said it should be on his van. When he could not find he phoned supervisor twice who said it had not beeen loaded. We were assured we would be contacted by Chiltern Oak Furniture, todate no contact have telephoned 6 times each time after 10 minutes line cuts off ! E- mailed six times with no response will try again today Please don’t get involved with ordering from this company they just do not care about customer satisfaction.

Do not use this company. I paid in full for 3 items of furniture plus extra for a 2 man delivery MY ORDER NEVER ARRIVED!!! Rang so many times phone never answered and no reply to a complaint email. Luckily paid by credit card who have already refunded my money and are pursuing it with the coy. Am also pushing it through breach of contract and sent letter via recorded delivery. BEWARE!

In my experience this company is fine until things go wrong then they don't have a clue what to do.
Thee out of 4 packages came as promised but the fourth is stuck somewhere between Chilterns customer services and DPD.
There are no replys to email, phone calls are just left on hold and no one seems to know what's going on .
DPD say Chiltern Oak need to send them a new code, but for some reason the staff don't seem to be able to do this.
This has now been going on 2 weeks.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
25/4/24 - placed order online £275, informed there were 2 items in stock. My money was taken the same day and delivery was promised within 12 working days. On 7/5/24 I phoned asking when I could expect delivery and was informed it was out for delivery that day, I told her that I had not received notification, and she promised to call me back. She didn't. I rang back on 8/5/24 and was told the same story, I challenged and she put me on hold. Then she came back with the item was not in stock and would not be delivered, as discontinued stock. I asked for an immediate refund and received an email saying my refund had been "processed" and would be received 3-10 days? 10/5/24 No refund, website has been taken down, with "Chiltern Oak Furniture Opening Soon"?? Can't see them on companies house, I have phoned endless times and am put on hold until I give up. The chance of me receiving a refund for something I have never got is very doubtful. Silly me, didn't use a credit card - lesson learned.

The furniture was flimsy and not well made. Upon opening the drawers their supports fell down out of the dowels and collapsed and other pieces of wood dropped off. Staff were helpful and offered to replace it but I decided to go for a stronger piece of furniture from another company.
The box is too large to go anywhere but in my lounge until collected for return where it is a major obstacle. Here lies a problem. A collection couldn't be arranged for OVER A FORTNIGHT!
Why? I'm informed that I have to wait until the carrier happens to be in my area. I live in a large town. I dread to think if I lived in a small community or if I was a wheelchair user. Bear this in mind if you have nowhere to store large items that could possibly need to be returned.
UPDATE:
Tried to contact them 6 days after the return and, not having had acknowledgement of receipt let alone a refund, I find that the email address on the website, and the one used by them to contact me previously, is now 'unable to receive mail or doesn't exist ' I decided to call. After being held on the line with muzak for 13 minutes I was cut off. This company is looking very shady.

I am not at all accusing you of lying, but we can see from the pictures that you sent that it looks to be liquid damage.
I have escalated this to my manager, who agreed that as this is not a naturally occurring issue, we cannot offer an exchange.

We understand that this is not what you are wanting to hear, but I cannot do anything further.

Ordered a console table which arrived promptly and was very well packaged, easy to assemble and now sits in our lounge. We are very happy with this item. We received a follow up call from Chiltern Oak Furniture to ensure that our item had arrived and that there were no issues. An impressive after sales care!

Very pleased with the quality of the chairs.

Great garden bench, well made, sturdy & comfortable. Value for money & a lovely addition to furniture previously purchased. Prompt service & delivery. Just need some sunshine now.

I purchased bedroom furniture on two occasions and the communication and delivery were excellent. The quality of the furniture is great and the company website makes clear if pieces are in stock.

The two delivery lads went above & beyond expectation by phoning to tell me where they had left the bookcase as they couldn’t get an answer to the door bell, then on my requesretrieving the furniture & bringing it to my Annexe. I couldn’t have asked for better service, they should be commended. Thank you.

I was left alone to browse their wonderful showroom and a member of staff was available to help when needed. Staff were helpful and friendly and my furniture was delivered when they said it would be.

The dining bench in faux tan leather sets off the dining room - love it.

Buyer Beware: Misrepresentation in Furniture Purchase

As a diligent consumer, I embarked on the journey of furnishing my living space, aiming for both comfort and aesthetic appeal. However, what transpired during this process has left me with a sour taste and a cautionary tale to share. My experience with purchasing misrepresented furniture has been nothing short of disappointing.

I placed an order for a Living room Oak set from a well-known online furniture retailer, enticed by the promising images and descriptions showcased on their website. The pictures showed Solid Oak even in there Description– all seemingly perfect for my envisioned living room. However, later on down the line the furniture has started to bubble , reality starkly contrasted with the online portrayal.

First and foremost, the material used was of significantly lower quality than advertised. Instead of the promised Chunky Oak the Furniture was actually Veneered in the middle a flimsy material that resembled nothing close to the luxurious Chunky oak that they depicted online. The Painted oak which they advertise as lacked the promised trueness, with it being Softwood again this is a Lie. Moreover, I am now left with a set of furniture that is unusable as this can not be made to look like new again.

Attempting to rectify the situation, I reached out to the customer service department, hoping for a resolution. However, the process was riddled with inefficiencies and lack of accountability. Responses were short and when provided, they offered little in terms of solutions or compensation for the misrepresented product and Shrubbed it off.

In hindsight, my experience serves as a cautionary tale for fellow consumers. It underscores the importance of scrutinizing product descriptions, seeking out independent reviews, and perhaps most importantly, managing expectations when making online purchases, especially when it comes to furniture.

In conclusion, the ordeal of ordering misrepresented furniture has been a lesson learned the hard way. While the convenience of online shopping is undeniable, it is imperative to remain vigilant and discerning to avoid falling victim to deceptive practices. As for me, I'll be more cautious in my future furniture endeavors, opting for retailers with transparent policies and a commitment to accurately representing their products.

Fast delivery, no problems as the chests of drawers were all well packaged.
Beautiful furniture. Drawers not as deep as I expected but that may be down to my measuring! Would happily buy from this company again.

Ordered from this company, had confirmation when they were coming and a rough time, sitting in waiting on the day of delivery, then get a email that it wasn’t in stock so not coming even though we rung to make sure it was in stock in the first place. They blamed the warehouse where they pick the furniture up from, total joke, would never even think of buying from them again, they really didn’t care, but they soon took my money in the first place. BEWARE!

Purchased Florence dressing table & stool. Delighted with both. Excellent service and delivery. One very happy customer 😊
