The installer rescheduled our installation two days before the date and misled us as to the reasoning behind the rescheduling. The salesperson also promised a discount and sent a bill without the discount. It took multiple calls to follow-up on this. In addition, we were hounded to pay a bill the day it was sent (without the promised discount) because it was the end of the month.

We ordered luxury vinyl. Carpet One laid a new subfloor and the vinyl bubbled up on the subfloor seams. Looks really bad and getting worse as time goes on. They couldn't seem to fix it no matter what they did. We really had to get back into the room so we accepted the floor as is and received a $700 discount which seemed reasonable at the time. We had no idea that the problem would worsten over time. Looks so bad that our guests even make remarks thinking it was a botched do it yourself project of mine. I always tell them that Carpet One did the install. We have other luxury vinyl floors that we have had no problem with with other installers.

Very disappointed in the seaming in doorways. Called the company shortly after carpet was put in and they tried to fix the issue. Unfortunately is is not any better. We would not purchase carpeting or flooring from Bloomington Carpet One again.

They were extremely helpful in working through some issues with the installation - very prompt in communicating, and at the end of the day the carpet looks amazing and I'm even more impressed with how they handled the hurdles. They stand behind their commitment to quality!

Great customer service but still working with them to fix seams that are very visible on our upgraded carpet.

This is the second time we've had Bloomington Carpet One install flooring for us. Both times we have been well taken care of as we hoped. The products and installations have been great all around. I'd recommend them any time. Thanks, Connie P.

For the most part I'm pleased with the experience. The carpet and flooring looks nice and the contractors used to install the carpet/flooring were very good. There were a few issues with the flooring, but the contractor has been very responsive to me, directly, and he's been mindful of fixing defects promptly.

My biggest concerns came pre-install but after my flooring had been ripped up. I was told by the install contractor that the flooring we chose was thinner than the tile that had been ripped up and there would be a noticeable gap in between the flooring and the appliances/cabinets. He further informed me that this should have been explained to me by the Carpet One sales associates, so that we could make an informed decision on this purchase. This was never mentioned by any reps at Carpet One - and two of them even visited our house. The installers ended up doing a fine job and gaps are not noticeable but was very unpleased that this was not mentioned. It seems as though this would be a common occurrence for Carpet One and something sales associates should explain.

In regards to the carpet install, the installers themselves did a good job. But they didn't know all of the areas of my lower level that were to be carpeted. Had I not worked from home that day they would have missed an entire hallway, and possibly carpeted my laundry room instead. This is another thing that I'm still confused about - how the installers don't know the entire are they are supposed to install the carpet in.

Would I use Bloomington Carpet One again? Probably. But this process was not entirely smooth.

I always get fabulous help here. Jennifer does a beautiful job of color planning, texture planning that is right for the space. Installs have been smooth and simple.

We scheduled our flooring installation. With at least 4 weeks advance notice. We were informed the day before the scheduled start date that the date had changed and would be pushed back one day. I had already requested the day off from work. But even worse, that only gave the installers 2 days before the weekend to complete what had been estimated as a 3 day job. We had to threaten to cancel the job to get it back to the original plan.
The carpet install was scheduled for Friday. We were told 9:00. When they hadn’t arrived by 11, we called and couldn’t reach anyone. And no one called us back. We had to call a couple more times, and again threaten to cancel, before we finally got a response. The installers showed up at 3:00.
I will say that the installers did a fabulous job and we are very happy with the result. But getting to it was very stressful. I will never use CarpetOne again, and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

We worked with a wonderful sales associate, Lyn. He helped find carpet close to the color we had used a few years earlier. We were able to request the same installer, Jesus. He did a great job installing our new carpet.
Carpet One was kind enough to keep our carpet when it arrived until we had finished remodeling the room where it was going to be installed.
We are very satisfied with the carpet and Carpet One.
