Jess was very lovely and did a wonderful job. They always go above and beyond for their customers. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Jess and Kia have been nothing but kind to us. Answered all my questions. Visited to refit the car seats in the new car.

We visited for the car seat advice and assessment appointment for £15. Being first time parents, and ready to spend a lot on a car seat, we were looking for the safest and most longlasting option, so we knew we needed help. We were able to practice with various seats including fitting in our car and get up to date legal info. Great advice given and support whilst in a safe environment for our little one to play and crawl in the children's area, with no pressure to purchase. We also had the chance to discuss some slings as we were looking for a forward facing option and feel very happy with the information recieved. All as a none profit organisation! Thanks very much!

We booked a consultation to get some advice about a new car seat for our 15 month old. From the moment we arrived Ria was super accommodating, answering all of our questions and letting our daughter play in the lovely store. Ria was very extremely knowledgable about rear facing seats, and happily demoed all the seats we were interested in, letting us have a go too. She fitted us the seat we liked in our car so we could make the most informed decision possible, and then assisted us to fit it ourselves so we were confident too. 5* service thought, will definitely recommend to all our friends and family.

I visited the store at the weekend and the service we received was brilliant! They were friendly and very knowledgable about the car seats and were happy to discuss our requirements. We were able to try a few seats out out with no pressure to buy. There were plenty of toys to keep my daughter occupied whilst discussing our options. We went for the Maxway Plus in the end for my sisters car but I will be back in a few months to upgrade the seat in my own car. Thanks so much to the team, would highly recommend!

Kia was absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about rear facing car seats. Within minutes of talking to her I knew coming to her was the right thing…car seats are such a mind-field and she really helped to narrow my choices down. I am definitely happy with the car seat I went with and she also fitted it in my car. Her service was 100% throughout the appointment. It was so nice to connect with someone who is a mum and knows how important it is to make the safe choices for our children also her passion and knowledge really showed how important she took her role.

I found the store through a Facebook group, from the advice there and the advice in store, I can't fault them. They have a no pressure informative attitude full of knowledge and experience. If I could rate them 5 stars more than once I would, as I will recommend them to anyone who will listen. Friendly, professional, and honest staff.

I’ve been Cariad Babi a few times and Kia never fails to amaze me. So super helpful and really well looked after. It’s not my first visit and it won’t be my last!

Kia was really helpful via email, then in person. She was very knowledgeable, went through everything with us, didn’t force a sale (which is a massive plus), explained problems with the vehicle (buckle crunch) and found a solution. Really pleased with the service and wish I’d found them sooner! If you want car seat advice, this is definitely the place for you! Also, a lovely little shop where there were toys available for my son to play with. I didn’t experience nappy or sling advice but loads on display.

Everyone is the store was very friendly including the kids aha. Kia was very helpful and took her time to just talk to me about random and helpful things. She really went above and beyond. I’ll certainly be going back when I get a new car and baby is here. She answered all my questions. Made me and my family feel so welcome. Kept my girls entertained whilst I was outside during installation.

Had a 2x vehicle compatability, installation and fit check today and went with 2x britax maxway plus extended rear facing plus tested seats after realising our existing seats were near their expiry date and suffering from heavy use wear and tear.

So impressed by this specialist independent retailer, their extensive knowledge and non pushy sales technique. They've done all the research into the most technically superior car seats on the market so you can drive away with confidence having purchased any of the models they stock. Having since learned that they are not for profit too, its even clearer that your childrens safety is their one and only concern.

We recieved personal service delivered with patience and real consideration for the current and future needs of our 4 young children to make sure we were buying wisely - long lasting seats, suitable in line with their heights and weights. I am assured that I can return to store or get in touch at any time for follow up/afterservice fit checks etc as and when our needs change.

We were also given a few gently delivered reminders re safe usage of our existing car seats (expiry dates, making sure all shoulder and crotch pads are present, head rest positioning, keeping children in light layers etc) and have subsequently made the necessary changes to all of our (7!) car seats this evening.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to any parent, new or experienced, wish I'd known about it 9 years ago, it's taken till now, child number 4, to feel properly informed about our car seat choices. You've only got to watch a 10 second crash test video for forward facing vs extended rear facing car seats to know it makes sense to buy from these experts in erf instead of choosing blind. Didn't even break the bank... Even my husband left happy and he hates children's hardware and spending money in equal measure 😅

I recently visited Cariad Babi for a cloth nappy demonstration - I knew I wanted to tackle reusables with my second child but had no clue where to start. Being able to talk to someone in person, get really helpful (and unbiased, not salesy) advice has been amazing and I feel confident now that it's something we can do as a family when little one arrives. The shop is bright, colourful and comfortable and the staff are friendly and supportive. An incredibly valuable resource for Derby parents that I don't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

I had a wonderful ‘own sling’ consultation with Jess. She showed me the best way to fit my slings and helped me feel more confident in using them. She also spent the time of explain how the sling library and cloth nappy service works.
Will be using again

Have been in a few times whether it’s to buy cloth nappies, baby grows or the beautiful inch blue shoes. Recently I’ve hired 2 carriers from the sling library and they are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

I can't recommend them highly enough! Very happy with my previous purchase, quick delivery and fair price. They are ever so helpful and friendly and answer your questions in no time. Also love the products in their shop. Will buy again!

This shop is fantastic! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Kia has so much knowledge and all the staff are happy to answer questions. I hired cloth nappies and being new to this found it quite overwhelming to tackle, but after having a chat with Kia and a demo I got all the information I needed to start using them...and loved it! They have so much to offer and for a first time mum, they have been very supportive and have wonderful products. Highly recommended to visit, purchase and hire!
