Too many high pressure salespeople

Well after having to pay £2 to park in the worst car park ever, when I arrived at the desk Mr Grumpy said I had to pay £34 insurance to be able to drive, I was like is this some kind of joke? He said it’s company policy. I said this should be on the price, it’s like a stealth tax added on, I was that upset i walked away, and did not have my experience
On getting home I contacted virgin experiences and made a complaint
2 days later my wife was fully refunded for the experience, and virgin seemed angry about this additional payment they want
Would not recommend this rip of merchant company

Instructors are really nice, there's a bit of a wait for most of the cars but the drive makes up for it

We went to Tockwith,York for a junior experience. We were really reassured with the safety, the amount of staff and how friendly/relaxed everyone was. It was noticeable that every driver (regardless of age), had their hand shook at the beginning of each ride as they were introduced to the instructor. Was a lovely day out and will be booking again. Would definitely recommend for car mad kids !

Great experience driving the 911 Spyder, Ferrari California and Roush Mustang! Driving instructors were patient, informative and put you at ease. Would highly recommend. Only down side was by the time I got to drive it was dark and so my videos were dark and I only managed to get some photos of my first drive which were poor quality, so make sure you book an early session if it’s autumn/winter months.

Worst driving experience ever I had a driving experience at Car Chase, and it was absolutely terrible. The instructors were rude, unfriendly, and clearly scared, which made the whole thing stressful from start to finish Instead of feeling excited or enjoying the drive,I felt constantly pressured and criticised during my 6 miles.
I've done similar experiences with Everyman Racing and Drift Limits, and the difference is huge - those companies are professional and create a fun atmosphere, unlike this one. Car Chase completely ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable experience. I definitely do not recommend it.
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience I had a driving experience at Car Chase on 26/10/2025 at Tockwith (York), and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The instructor Jason, who was assigned to the Dodge Hellcat, completely ruined it for me. He was rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional from start to finish.

If anyone from the management team reads this, please check the video recording from 26/10/2025 around 13:10 (name: Gabriel) - you will clearly see how disrespectful the instructor was. No customer deserves to be treated like that, especially after waiting months and paying £100 for what was supposed to be a fun driving experience.

You cannot talk to paying customers that way. I was genuinely excited for this, but left feeling frustrated and disappointed I strongly advise anyone who's a big Dodge fan not to waste their time or money with this company.
Totally disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

Fun exciting experience with friends and famalam

Overall disappointing. Good idea for an event and was enjoyable at times but could have been much better. The concept of being trained to drive each car was good but they didn't explain you would be scored for each drive or what the scores mean, so this was a bit pointless in the end.
Unfortunately a few of the cars I chose to drive were faulty, either had gearbox or clutch problems or in one case made worrying banging noises, which I was told "was all part of the experience."
I complained to the organisers after the event and they did respond and offered me a free drive of a car on another day, but then failed to communicate details of the new event in time and refused to rebook it when I couldn't attend.
The range of cars available to choose from is very good and they have some rare cars that I haven't seen available to drive on tracks before, just a shame some were not working correctly, I'd have given 4 stars if they were and I hadn't had to complain.

What a great experience had by car chase heroes. Very organised & a great choice of cars to pre select. Pete doing the DB5 Bond experience was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable & made a memorable day special. High five Pete.

Great experience at Curbough, looked after well

I have been super excited to take part in this but right from the start it was a money grab. I booked with Car Chase Hero's and upon arriving, parking was in field which they were demanding £2 per car for. Then on check in they were forceful on paying a further £25 for a damage waiver. I had 3 cars booked, first was 12pm. I didnt get in it until 2:30. One of the cars had broken down so I had slim pickings of what was left. Every opportunity they had they were selling things, upgrade to this for £10, do you want this for £10. It wasn't a track, it was a strip of runway with cones on. The cones were laid out in a chicane, so you could never reach a high speed before you had to reduce speed. All the cars were out at the same time so if the person in front was driving slow, you had to sit behind them meaning your experience was spoiled. Any additional 'laps' were £10-£25 each. There were kids driving the cars too, who were very slow and you also got stuck behind them, so your super car experience ended up as a 40mph drive up and down a runway behind children who cant drive. Wait times were ridiculous, waited more than 2hrs for each car, only to be in it for less than 5 minutes. Any photos you wanted were an additional £25- weren't even printed, just emailed! Videos were £40. Spectators couldnt see any driving as was too far away, they could only watch you get in and out of the car. Overall very poor, wouldn't book with the company again.

Did a high speed passenger ride in the Atom and it was amazing, good customer service from staff and amazing drivers!

Booked with a Virgin voucher within the expiry date. Booking went through on the Car chase system no problem. Was then told on the day that the booking was not valid since Virgin would not 'pay them'. If this was really the case how was I allowed to book and receive a confirmation email? No compensation and the track day booking was not honoured. Completely unacceptable this could happen, systems need sorting.. BEWARE!
