Cracking lass, keeps you informed and in line all the way through the on boarding process. Nothing is a bother and she can not do enough for you. I would fully recommend Brookson and Daniel.

Unfortunately, over the past 12 months or so the level of service has dropped to almost non-existent. In my opinion they have grown and expanded beyond their capabilities. Waiting over 6 weeks for a response from an accountant, and even when they do respond it's usually a holding message because they are failing to hit their response targets stating someone will get back in touch when possible.

I gave my 30 days notice to move to another accountant and even though that period has expired, they are still refusing to engage with my new accountant. I assume it is refusal and not inability given the years they have been operating as accountants.

Several requests later and the only response is an automated messages stating that someone will get in touch at some point in the future. It's just not acceptable for accountant charging £220 per month for basic features you can do yourself in free software. They don't even provide the service you are paying for. I've been ready to do my self-assessment since 6th April. Even though their service is supposed to include self assessment, if I want to make use of the service I'm paying for, I cannot do so before October.

They claim to offer personalised advice and accountancy - what they offer is their own bespoke software that is very limited, rates that benefit themselves, requiring emails to someone on the admin team to make simple changes if you want to assign income or outgoing transactions. The estimates for personal tax require manual overrides to get even close to accurate results.

I used to recommend Brookson to other people I worked with. Unfortunately, now, I cannot stress how unrecommendable they have now become.

Avoid them, unless you really have no other choice. Even then, consider any alternative and you'll likely get a better experience. I don't see how it could be worse with any other company though, and if it is, Brookson are not the solution.

Anyone starting a business and is new to it I would highly recommend Brookson as they make everything a lot easier and really put time and effort into your understanding. My onboarding officer Danielle has been an absolute pleasure to work with, helpful, friendly, patient and supportive. Highly recommended.

You wasting bunch of business wreckers turned a brilliant business that I was a proud client of for 12 years into a totally dysfunctional business that just fell apart to nothing. I would urge anyone not to go anywhere near this bunch of utter charlatans who wreck businesses and cost their clients extra money, do not touch them with someone else’s barge pole let alone your own. Bunch of incompetent idiots.

Iain and Abbie were really helpful, informative and took the time to understand my needs and then implemented my pension plan without delay. Excellent service would definitely recommend them to anyone think about setting up a solid financial plan.

Because of the introduction of Making Tax Digital, I had to learn how to use some new software. I had a very constructive 40-miniute phone call with Marrianne of the on-boarding team. She answered every one of my questions and I entered some sample transactions during the call.

The software Brookson uses is excellent and I completed all of the transactions (covering 10 weeks) within 45 minutes of ending our phone call.

Gill from Brookson has been so helpful, she is really knowledgeable about the Brookson One app as well as tax and contractor matters in general. It's great to use this service as a first time business director/contractor outside of IR35 as you don't have to negotiate tax/PAYE matters on your own. The app is really easy to use and understand any lays out everything for you. Excellent support!

I enlisted Brookson One off the back of a recommendation from a recruiter. I have so far been impressed with their professionalism and their friendliness. I haven't been made to feel dumb at any point because it's not my job to know about finances and they are happy to repeat anything I don't quite understand. They have been very patient and understanding with me. I've so far spoken to Marianne with onboarding who has been great and lovely, and just had a financial review with Karl. I still need some more meetings to discuss things further, but the initial meeting was good to get a sense what I needed further help with.

Alex at Brookson Financial has been exceptional in every respect.
