Simple, straight-forward platform. Easy to find accommodations, and the photos provided by home owners are accurate and realistic! Fast communication between the platform and the hosts as well.

Location was excellent
Location was excellent, quiet and close to many options… restaurants, grocery stores, transportation. Accommodations were clean , comfortable and had everything we needed for our visit to Amsterdam. Would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend to friends and family.

I found the website very valuable
I found the website very valuable as I didn't have to look at many different sited to find a houseboat in Amsterdam. With the volume of houseboats available, I was able to find the one perfect one for us. I had a hard time in figuring out the payment schedule, but received help quickly and clearly. The experience was easy and kept me updated throughout our stay

Extremely rude customer service
I cannot recommend Bookahouseboat as a platform. Their customer service lacks politeness and just… so awful to hosts its almost a joke. Also they don’t seem to have many people browsing their site, I got no bookings on Bookahouseboat meanwhile I got 5 on another site in 10 days! 😂 There are much bigger platforms with better booking potential, don’t waste your time with these guys like I did.

Besvarelse fra BookaHouseboat.com
Dear Meredith S, your houseboat has only been listed on our website for 3 days. And within that period you re-violated our terms, even after our first super friendly notification. You too know your review is false and untrue.
We don't allow social handles in property texts. We removed them and notified you. Your response was: Ok, noted. Yet you returned and re-added them. Very very sneaky! So we suspended your account. Next, you come here to give us a 1-star. It should be the other way around!
We shared our *super rude* conversation with Meredith online, for everybody to judge. We're sorry your delicate soul got awfully hurt. Give it a read here:

Great Amsterdam Houseboat
We were looking for places to stay in Amsterdam, and it seem like a houseboat would be a lot of fun. I looked at Airbnb and VRBO, but bookaHouseboat I have the best selection and information. The website was easy to navigate, and it was easy to create an account. I immediately found a wonderful houseboat that met all my needs for an incredibly reasonable price. The location was wonderful, and the boat was exactly as advertised. I will use bookaHouseboat again.
