Delightful home made cakes
Had a delightful home made cake in their tasteful (and cool!) restaurant.
Staff could not have been pleasanter.
Bought some very nice roses whilst we were there. Healthy plants that had been well looked after. All in all, a very enjoyable visit.

PCN Shrewsbury
Percy Throwers Shrewsbury no have a 3 hr parking limit, this makes a visit with my mother who uses a walkng aid very difficult to complete. I have today recieved a PCN, customer services (who should be able to cancel the charge (I have proof of purchase)) could not have been any less helpful.
Edit. I have since received a comprehensive response to an email query. It still means I have to chase the PCN through the company but at least explained the process for next time

Well worth a visit …
Absolutely love this garden centre- great for all the plants & literally everything else you could want for the garden, the clothes range is just brilliant- not cheap ( though have picked up the odd bargain in the sales) but the clothes are excellent quality & there's a huge choice. The café is also excellent- again, not cheap, but delicious. All the staff are always very friendly. Thoroughly recommend

Percy Throwers blue Diamond has a store…
Percy Throwers blue Diamond has a store packed with a great variety of products. The store is bright and clean. We visited all areas of the store on Monday 29 June, and my friend shopped in Bonmarche. We visited the restaurant too which was clean and service was efficient. We opted for omelettes off the brunch menu which were ok but not great. We moved to plants next and I got 2 packs of bedding plants and my friend also got two.
I did return on Thursday 2 July with another friend and the fish and chips was superb. More plants bought! It’s a difficult time for garden centres with windy but hot conditions.

Having criticised the service and…
Having criticised the service and quality of plants, we received on our last visit to Percy Throwers garden centre in Shrewsbury, we thought we would give them another try today.
We were pleasantly surprised, the staff were very knowledgeable and couldn't have been more helpful, the plants on display all looked healthy and well watered.
The shop and restaurant were spotless.
We will be back,in the autumn when you have the plant we wanted back in stock.

Disappointment/ annoyance
I have been going to Melbick Garden Centre in Brownhills for years. It has not always provided good service but I have put up with it - examples are as follows, I bought an orchid, it had scale insect, I didn't notice and it infected my whole collection, resulting in the loss of two plants, I also bought clothes which pilled when i had worn them once and plants that died even though the instructions had been carefully followed. I have not complained. I have accepted this is the way things are as I have been too busy to challenge anything, but today has drawn a line. Today I bought a rose, a fuchsia and an orchid, the total came to around £65. At the till I did not have my points card. The cashier said she could not search for me on the system as searching had stopped on the 1st June. This was news for me. I had bought over £30 of plants in May, they searched for my registration, nothing was a problem, nothing was mentioned about any change. Todat there was nobody in the queue, staff were standing about. They could have said 'we will do it this time, but next time you will need your card or the app". If you are going down the 'what do you think of our service' route, some of your staff need training.

A very Happy Experience!…
we visited the Woburn Sands Blue Diamond on 16th June. Although I frequently visit to meet friends and my brother this was special as it was to celebrate my brothers 74th Birthday. So there were 4 of us. We had such a lovely lunch; the food was excellent and the service exemplary, as usual. We were served by Estelle, Sara and Linda. They even sang Happy Birthday!Must include congratulatins to the chef and everyone in the kitchen.

Filthy tables and floor, again.
Visited the cafe whilst at Endsleigh garden centre today and it was awful. Just about every vacant table, and there were lots, was filthy with used crockery and cutlery everywhere. A person came and cleared the tables but didn't wipe or sanitise any of them. Hygiene level disgraceful and I intend to report this to the food standards agency as it is not the first time I have experienced this in this place.

Busy Bee is beautiful.
We visited your Busy Bee centre in Ryde yesterday and were overwhelmed with the transformation. We’d heard from several people how different it is now. It’s a beautiful garden centre and we were especially impressed with three things.
The first being the plants, the quality is second to none. Both indoor when you first walk in ~ wow factor! And the outdoor plants, what a selection!!!
The second was the new layout, we loved walking through the household section, what stunning things you now have! I couldn’t resist your new candles and home fragrances.
And the third was the customer service provided by Kevin on the check outs. What a cheerful man, it was very busy and he gave everyone the same attention. We were watching from the queue and he should be a role model across your shops! After running our own hotel in Shanklin for many (too many!) years we know good service.
We will most definitely come back with our bigger car next time.

Barton Grange has an excellent range of products for sale. Lots of quirky gifts & the farm shop has high quality delicious food items. The customer service is of a high standard, friendly & helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Alfresco Pergola
My wife and I recently purchased an "Alfresco" 3mx 3m pergola from Grosvenor Garden Centre, Chester, and we were disappointed to learn that they could not offer any guidance regarding its construction. They could not offer to build it, or to supply any information regarding who we could approach. We are both in our 80's, and so building this ourselves was not really an option. Whilst the instructions for the build were comprehensive, we quickly realised that we would need to seek help. Unfortunately, our search produced number of 'Handyman' offers, but none with experience of putting up a pergola. It is recommended that at least two people would be required, but in our experience a minimum of 3 is required at some stages of the construction. We finally decided on a company who sold and erected garden rooms thinking they might be a better choice, but one week after the build we find problems with the blind mechanism and we wait for them to return to fix. In my view Blue Diamond should not really be selling these high price items without the back up of offering a construction service.

Unfortunately, Blue Diamond does not currently offer an installation or assembly service for our garden rooms. However, we do have teams available to provide guidance and support both before and after purchase, and we are always happy to assist with product queries wherever we can.
I hope the matter with the pergola you purchased elsewhere has now been resolved for you, and you are able to enjoy your pergola as intended.

My husband and my self had a Sunday…
My husband and my self had a Sunday dinner here today,
I ordered lamb he had three meat selections.My partner
pulled a quite sharp chicken bone from his mouth which
caused discomfort with his teeth during the meal. We had to order extra gravy as the meal was COLD.We never
send food back(horror stories as why not to).We addressed this after and waited quite a while for them to
come over and see to our issues with the meal. We were met with I am sorry! We have been for food on many
occasions and not had any problems! But we just felt like
we could not just walk out without complaining as it was not cheap! We will never return for a Sunday dinner and are highly disappointed about how we were treated!
terrible service! If you want a hot decent Sunday dinner look elsewhere. Hope this saves someone some money!
