I recently encountered significant issues with Bloomingdale's customer service. Unfortunately, the representatives I spoke with seemed poorly informed and struggled to comprehend my inquiries, even when I used straightforward American English.

When I called regarding my new credit card, I was told I could use it online immediately upon approval. This turned out to be misleading, as I was informed I needed a code sent by mail, which I never received. Despite being a loyal customer with points to redeem, I was unable to make a purchase during a sale because my card was marked as "under review."

The inconsistencies in their communication and service are incredibly frustrating. If I could, I would gladly step in as a manager or director to help improve the customer experience at this store.

Great service from Carlino. Bloomies don’t always have the best staff but Carlino really made my shopping trip special.

I am trying to place an order for hours. Payment goes to error. I chat with customer service, they sent me a payment link, still the same issue. Never again. Waste of time. Horrible, horrible website. No app for android, only for iphone.

They would send you a wrong item (something similar to what you ordered by a style or a brand ). The wrong item looks like they can not sell and need to get rid of. Then, they will try to make you keeping it by not refunding or sending it back to you, claiming you returned it without tags or something like that. Happened to me twice. Will never shop there again. . I think Federal Trade Commission needs to look closer at their business practices

I returned an item to Bloomingdale’s in May 2025 and mistakenly included my personal necklace (valued at over $1,900) in the package. I contacted Bloomingdale’s immediately to correct the error. Despite acknowledging receipt of the return and refunding the original item, they have failed to locate or return my necklace.

I’ve now gone through four separate “investigations” over several weeks with no resolution or meaningful updates, even after filing a formal complaint and contacting their executive team. I was even sent a $100 gift card, which was unrelated and does not address the issue.

This has been an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience for a high-end retailer. I expected better care and communication. I still do not have my necklace or a resolution, and I would caution others to be extremely careful when returning anything to this company.

I was unable to complete a purchase because my account was flagged for "excessive accommodation requests" when I had only made 1 purchase in the past year (and absolutely no accomodation requests)-- I was told that they were not able to do anything about that even if it was made in error and that I was unable to make any purchases until the issue was resolved by their investigation. Obviously I will never be ordering with them again as this was a huge inconvenience, but beware: you may not be able to order because of website errors and they will blame your account.

Customer service is useless! It’s like talking to a wall! No one seems to understand what you need.

this is not actually Bloomingdale's this is a drop shipping company paying them to use the name, what i received was 4 days late even though i paid for expedited shipping and not what i ordered, do not use this is basically a scam website masquerading as a name brand department store

I ordered a dress back in the beginning of March and when it was taking long to arrive I contacted customer services and was told that the item was out of stock, even though it never mentioned that when I was ordering it, and that I would have to wait for the backorder date of April 9th. I agreed, even though I was already disappointed with the bad service. It is already May and I still have not received the dress. There is no way I was not home to receive it, as I work from home full time all day every business day and there is a 24 hour reception in my building where there is always someone to receive packages. I have contacted customer service again. At this point I do not even want the dress anymore, just my money back. I will not be shopping here again. What a scam!

Cancelled my order (AGAIN) and I used a different card. Buying anything online is a PAIN and when you call they’re 100% unhelpful. Say no to Bloomingdale’s. High end should have high quality customer service, and they do not.

Don't trust bloomingdales customer service script puppett readers. I ordered a leather pair of sneakers and they sent out a total different pair called customer service had the guy tell me the correct shoe and he reassured he was sending out the correct pair. 3 days later!!!! These people send me thee exact same shoe again!!!!!!! No one looked to make the item numberis correct. Now back to customer service again and the supervisor was rude and had new solution base process besides returning my money and I fly out soon! Totally waste! I'm very glad it wasn't a more expensive pair of sneakers. He didn't choose to do his simple minded job like reassure the correct sneakers and offer a over night send out! BLOOMINGDALES YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH. Bring that job back to America!

Bloomingdale’s lies about when your package will arrive instead of just marking the item as sold out. I asked three times, different customer service reps. All gave me dates for the time of shipment that were untrue, all for the order to be cancelled weeks later. I will never order anything through Bloomingdale’s again.

First, I tried to place an order with Bloomingdale’s 4 times!! Each time it simply wouldn’t process or came back as “canceled”. I tried calling customer service multiple times and when I finally got ahold of a service agent who’s English could be understood AND who was actually helpful, she was able to place the order for me over the phone…she was great, but it still took well over an hour!!
Next, I tried to link my account with my loyalist account…it wouldn’t work. The $300 promotional gift card that I was supposed to get in return for my $1k+ order, did NOT appear in my account. I spent more time on the phone trying to get that to work. They finally just emailed it to me. Then I tried to place an order with that gift card, and ran into MORE hang ups and orders that wouldn’t process! I work in online retail sales and I’m good at it, it’s not like I don’t know how to navigate a website!🙄 I called customer service again and could NOT understand their English through their thick accent.
Then I had a baby and forgot to try again for a few days…by the time I tried again for the 4th or 5th, the gift card had expired🤦🏻‍♀️
I tried calling into customer service yet AGAIN and while these particular gentlemen were kind, I just got their policy line over & over “we’re sorry, the expiration date was clearly listed, we can’t do anything about it”
No compensation or “we’re sorry, here’s a coupon for you” for their ridiculous website glitches, the lack of the app & accounts working properly, their incompetent customer service, NOTHING!! I’m just out $300.

bloomingdales credit supervisor named jennifer on my demand gave her ID L183148 is the nastiest supervisor of bloomingdales, insisting her credit rule, won't listen to customer. Item returned was received, refunded $600+, but $29.00 automatic payment not refunded, insisting cannot be refunded, due to balance of $2,500+ on ordered item not received, not on my hand as I spoke to this nasty supervisor. She switched me to male agent of return dept cannot fully assist me, my credit summary unaccessible on his, my end, as if hacked, happened after I spoke with nasty supervisor. Male agent of return dept switched me back to credit dept, spoke with an agent telling me bloomingdales automatic payment is non refundable, told her its robbery, the fact item was refunded, thus $29.00 must be refunded to no avail, after asking for supervisor was the same nasty supervisor insisting her credit rule of item in transit not in my possession. I made her answer specific, is bloomingdales going to keep my $29.00, after I reject delivery of item on transit means I don't owe bloomingdales nothing is robbery. She was too reluctant to say refund. I emphasized I'm checking my bank account of $29.00 refund from bloomingdales-billing is confusing, is robbery to average consumers must be wary at bloomingdales' automatic payments. I'm waiting for bloomingdales dragging to refund my $29.00.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I made a very large purchase last December. I had loyalty points and they do not roll over. The agent actual said (when refusing to reinstate them) that I should have know that would happen as it is in the contract I signed. NOBODY reads that fine print. Then I tired to cancel the order I had made 15 minutes before and they wouldn’t do it. Way to make my blood pressure rise and shopping experience unpleasant.

I opened an account with Bloomingdale’s and received a Bloomingdale’s AMEX card. I purchased several things and paid several bills over a few months. I went there today to buy two gift cards and the System would not process the credit card. I called the 800 number from the store and they said the account was in good standing and tried to work with the cashier. They disconnected once and screwed it up so many times the automatic fraud prevention software closed the card. Then they said I have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get a letter to re-authorize and close my account. I will never ever shop at Bloomingdale’s again and as soon as I get my authorization code, I will close the account for good. Called back to close account and they refused for 7-10 business days. I already destroyed the card.

I order Gucci Floral Gardenia and coco channel which is cost of Aed 1515/- for both perfumes .
the Gucci price of Aed 755/- while the channel Intense Aed 760/-
And it says Eau De Perfumes.
However the Gucci didn’t seems to be original due to it stays only 30 mins, i have to spray again in again. Is this normal to a Gucci flora Gardenia.
Is my first time trying this Gucci flora Gardenia. Otherwise my long time fav perfume is Channel modemoisel. Otherwise i will take it to Sephora and have it checked if original or not am so disappointed honestly 😔. Is not 1 dhs.

I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered AFRM dress online using their app, paid for express shipping (which I will never get back) and they sent me the wrong dress, without slip lining (dress is sheer) and with no tag attached. When I called customer service I was on hold for over 30 minutes. I will never order from them again.

Alured by a 15% discount for new customers, I placed a gold chain on sale for $3200 in the cart. However, the 15% coupon code did not arrive (kept getting messages that the site is going through maintanc!!??). Right after the sale was over (and the price of the chain in the cart went up by $900) I received the 15% copon!!.

Bllooomingdale (now same as Macy's) is no longer a reputable and trustworthy retailor. Do yourself a favor and avoid buying from them.
