I attempted to place an order for sweaters. Each time, I received an email stating that the order had been canceled due to verification issues. So I placed the order 2nd time, and then 3rd time. All of 3 orders were canceled by Bloomingdale's. After contacting Support team via email, I was repeatedly informed that the problem was due to mismatched addresses or phone numbers, despite all information being entered correctly. In the 3rd email the agent stated that the problem could be due to shipping my order to a different address than my billing address! Excuse me? We’re are in United States, and according to the law I have the right to send my order wherever I choose to.

I then contacted their Consumer Protection Team by phone, providing all requested information in detail: who placed the order, why the billing and shipping addresses differ, and confirming all our personal data multiple times!!!!!!!!! Despite this, instead of resolving the issue, I was told that I would receive an email explaining the reason for the cancellations, but no such email was ever sent!!!!!

Not only this level of customer service is disappointing, but it is frankly disgraceful. It seems service team is just following some simple scripts, but in reality this team is completely useless. They're unwilling to actually help customers, take any accountability, or resolve real issues.

I have never had any issues with any online store in the past. But Bloomingdale's provided me with a truly unique experience.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Bloomingdale’s. I attempted to return an order that their system claimed was delivered on 10/23, but it was actually delivered on 10/28. Despite providing the correct delivery information, customer service refused to correct the error and denied the return based on an incorrect date in their system.

I’ve been a loyal customer and expected better accuracy and accountability. The lack of willingness to fix a clear system mistake and assist a customer is extremely frustrating and reflects poorly on the level of service. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider future purchases with Bloomingdale’s.

I called customer service yesterday to place an order for a coat that my husband was buying me for Christmas. The cost was $99.00. The customer service rep was wonderful. Later that evening I received an email telling me they were canceling the order. I called and spoke to a supervisor. She told me their system rejected me. Also added that I can never purchase anything online. I would need to come into the store personally if I wanted to purchase anything. I am insulted and appalled. Never ever has this ever happened to me. I have thousands of if dollars worth of credit. I am a Bloomingdale’s credit card holder as well as a Loyalist. My credit report is spotless. The supervisor did not give me any explanation. She was firm and abrupt. Needless to say I will not be letting this go by no means.

I ordered a Lamarque jacket. It didn't ship, I was told this was because it was shipping from the company. So I contacted Lamarque, they said not the case. Then Bloomingdale's told me it had shipped. But it hadn't. Then Bloomingdales canceled the order as out of stock, but DID NOT REFUND ME. I wrote to customer service again, they then told me it was on back order and to re-place the order. I pointed out they had already charged me. To place the second order, I had to let them charge me a second time while waiting for the first refund to get processed. I placed a second order. Now they had $1000 of my money. While waiting, I discovered they did not fully refund me on the first order that never shipped. To get that money back took multiple emails and it was refunded in dribs and drabs, in 3 amounts. I was told the second order was shipping. Once again, it did not ship. This time I gave up, I demanded a refund and bought a jacket from a different company. Bloomingdale's told me in writing the order was canceled. Lo and behold, two weeks later, they charged my card and shipped the coat. I had already bought something else. So now I have to buy packing tape (their return process requires you to open the package and insert a packing slip) AND ink (you have to print out the label) and spend time and gas money to go to UPS, which means after my refund, I'll be net negative. This whole thing went on for a month and a half and I realized that their customer service just completely makes up responses, about things being in stock, about scheduled ship dates, about whether something has shipped, it's all a lie. I counted and I was told no fewer than 11 lies. Good luck if you roll the dice buying something from them.

Placed an order today on 11/14/2025 with Allison in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was one of the most helpful and pleasant customer service agents I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I tried to take the online survey after our phone conversation, but it did not work and I was disconnected.

Sent a completely defective product and they would not refund it! Very rude on the phone, so disappointed.

An account was made with my email without my consent. I am not a US resident, nor citizen in any degree. I reached out requesting they simply remove my email from their system. I got an email back saying I needed to call them, however I explained that I cannot call this as it's an international number (and frankly I shouldn't have to). Twice I explained this to them, twice they have given me the same AI response, and only changed the name of who was supposedly writing it, saying I should try calling them. It's like talking to a brick wall and frankly I'm fed up.

Literally the worst customer service. Orders always have issues - frequently late even when paying for express shipping, sometimes totally incorrect items sent. Every time customer service is either unable or unwilling to help resolve the issue - instead they spend time gaslighting customers about delivery timeframes and asking them to write back in the next day for a revolution (presumably so they avoid having to actually fix it themselves)

Oh I wish I had read reviews here before I ordered… I was paying with a UK credit card and my order was declined twice but the money was taken immediately. Apparently I have to wait 10 days for the money to be returned 🤷🏻‍♀️. When the product arrived (diamond stud earrings) it was faulty. I can’t believe that a luxury retailer wouldn’t check something like that before sending but I ordered a replacement which was apparently being sent speedily (not here 5 days later). For the return I have had to contact customer service 3 times - each time getting different information. I will NEVER use Bloomingdale’s online again. My trust in the entire operation has fallen through the floor tbh - if you have such shambolic after sales service then there is a big problem within your entire organisation. The only ray of light is the lady on the Creed counter in the Broadway store who helped me with my original order. I only hope Bloomingdale’s appreciates when they have an employee like her (although I seriously doubt they would even notice). Honestly Bloomingdale’s you need to buck up - and fast - or you are going to go under.

No price match. Charged 10x what it costs on other sites.

A promotional gift card was part of the order I made on Bloomingdale’s. The email that I received notified me that I will receive the full details of the card close to the dates when I can redeem the card. I didn’t receive such email. I tried to chat with the representative but they couldn’t help and advised me to call the customer service. When I called the customer service the hustle continues. I was transferred numerous times between different departments, and at the end was told that they can’t help me and I should wait for the email. With so many competitors around I don’t know how this company is still in business. Needless to say I am not going to shop there anymore.

Horrible customer service. The people who attend you over the phone when you try to buy their products have horrible service. Dont know the word thank you, please, you welcome. Horrendous experience of a store is a few years away from an inevitable death.

Garbage. I got a call at 8 this morning from UPS saying they couldn't deliver because they couldn't verify the address. So I reverified it with UPS directly. I checked Bloomingdales today and it says 'Package returned to sender'. I called support and I was less than thrilled. Before you shop here, look at Saks. Their service is better, products are the same overpriced BS, and they actually have a working system that UPS gets right the first time.

After my account was hijacked, my email changed, and my saved payment method fraudulently used, Bloomingdale’s flatly refused to delete the account or restore my access. They offered no case number, no resolution, and left my personal information in the hands of someone else simply saying, “sorry, there’s nothing we can do."

This failure to act is a direct violation of FTC identity theft protections. As the owner of a tech company, I can state with certainty: they absolutely have the ability to delete an account. Their refusal demonstrates how little protection they provide for your personal information.

The didn't honor their own own published privacy policy, which states that customers may request closure of accounts and deletion of personal data.

I spent two hours on this even with supervisors and their privacy dept. Someone is fraudulently using my saved card and they refuse to close my account, give me access back, or delete my information.

Absolutely disgusting as a company. It's also in violation of consumer data laws.

Will be filing formal complaints against this company.

Complete crap with the online checkout. I inputted all my information correctly and somehow they still couldn't verify it. so the order was canceled and if I didn't have more funds to make another purchase I would of had to wait for the refund to be processed to buy again which would of left me crap out of luck if the product would of went out of stock. Bloomingdales fix your Apple Pay!

This is the worst store to shop online, I bought 6 perfumes for my wife's birthday, it was so complicated and after placing the order they canceled my order the next day I called them they told me that the reason for cancellation was no response to the text message to confirm the purchase knowing that I did not receive any text message of this kind, now neither perfume nor my money refunded, they suggested I replace the order with a new payment, of course not I would not want to have the same problem and to be honest I did not want to do business with them, Order 763180054

I have never before experienced such a shambolic company . Why is it so difficult to place an online order if you are staying in the US but have a U.K. address??? I don’t get it . Customer services were also incredibly rude , not bothered and at one point just hung up the phone .
Such a shame as it used to be such a lovely store . Move with the times Bloomingdale’s otherwise your iconic” store will go bust . Sadly it already is . What a total disaster they are

Shocking Lack of Oversight at Ala Moana Bloomingdale’s

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, around 1:50 p.m., I had a very disturbing experience at the Bloomingdale’s in Ala Moana Shopping Center. My wife needed to use the restroom, so we were directed to the third floor. The men’s room and family restroom were both occupied. We waited over 20 minutes with no Bloomingdale’s employees in sight in the nearby departments.

Eventually, a teenage boy (around 16) exited the family restroom, followed shortly after by a younger teenage girl (about 14). The stench of marijuana was overwhelming, poorly masked by perfume. It was clear the restroom had been used for both drug use and inappropriate behavior.

This happened in broad daylight in a family-oriented store—with no staff presence and zero intervention. Completely unacceptable.

This store urgently needs better restroom monitoring, employee visibility, and basic security measures. Until changes are made, I would not recommend this location to anyone concerned about safety or professionalism.

I searched for Hudson Park towels online at Bloomingdales, and once I found them, I chose a color, and it saw them in pictures as a set - bath, hand, face. Then it said select a size, which I chose the bath towel. And still it showed a set for over $50. I chose 2 sets and checked out. When they came, there was only 2 bath towels. Somehow I missed the fact that they weren't a set. When I called, etc., I could not get anyone to help me, although they did see that the picture was misleading. So I spent over $100 for 2 towels - ridiculous. Never again. #762222858

Impossible to order on this website if you have an international credit card and ship to the US. Even international PayPal and Apple Pay don’t work. I order on most US retailers (Nordstrom, Neiman & Marcus, Saks, Shopbop, Revolve, Moda operandi, SSENSE) never EVER had a problem ordering with my PayPal account and ship to the US.
