Filthy room
We booked into royal boston 23/25 oct,the staff were lovely,the entertainment and food were also good,the room however was a different story,the skirting boards and pipe that ran directly under our bed were pure filth,we came home sat morning as i am a asthma sufferer and that sort of filth is not good for my breathing,i have photos to prove the filth in our room

Myself and my sister went to the royal…
Myself and my sister went to the royal Alexandra hotel for the September weekend usually go to my usual hotel the seabank but it was full so only hotel available was Alexandra vey disappointed with it it wasnt very clean the staff werent vey helpfull the bar was stinking of dampness restaurant not very well set out for meal times as people are walking in and out when guests were sitting to dinner no proper lounge area for guests to sit and chill out stairs at front entrance are very steep and should have hand rail in the middle of stairs so certainly never going back to the Alexandra hotel again the only decent member of staff was tracy from restaurant couldnt fault her in any way

We are sad the Royal Alexandra did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
The Royal Alexandra is one of our most popular hotels due to the excellent value and wonderful service presented.
The team at the hotel take cleanliness matters very seriously and all pride themselves on excellent standards so receiving negative feedback saddens us.
With reference to dampness, this slight odour occurs sometimes when there has been a downpour in the resort, rain water collects in the drainage system - however this usually clears quickly. This is not a sign of cleanliness and all businesses in the area are affected. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
In regards to the restaurant, all tables are set and spaced according to COVID guidelines, each guest is allocated there own table so we are unsure as to what happened here, we do also feature a lounge area to the left of the reception, with seating and tables.
I am sorry you would not return to the Alexandra again, with four hotels in the resort we do have ample choice for a wonderful Blackpool break so we hope to see you back again soon. Thank you once again for your review

Arrived our room was gone after 3rd room we finally got in had no telly for our whole stay chap at reception was going to compensate us but was told no by manager we have came to the Royal seabank for 15 yrs and have not had a problem before we come with a party about 50 of us from Aberdeen.my name is Mrs Sales phone number 07746704932 .Several more complaints but I'm saddened my favourite hotel has gone so downhill.I'm willing to discuss this if management wish to.What has happened to all the lovely staff that worked here.Apart from a couple of lovely gentlemen who served out meals and a man in reception the other were very offhandvwith residents.

We booked though JH coaches and…
We booked though JH coaches and Blackpool Promotions 24th To 28th August 2020. This was our first time (myself daughter and grandaughter) and we will definatly use them again. Everything was very well organised. There was a change to our hotel from Royal Alexandra to the Royal Boston and the Boston was a little way
(around 9 minutes on tram) from tower ECT however there were plenty buses and trams...and we were given a room with a sea view which was nice. Thank you Blackpool Promotions.

Have been going to Blackpool since I was 18 now 65, stayed a few different hotels but nothing compares to Blackpool promotions, started of at the Alexander's which was ok but when we got tranfered to the Seabank it was like night and day far superior hotel loved everything about it and have been going there ever since.

i h ave stayed at all the royal hotels in blackpool this was my first time at the carlton and it puts all the rest to shame juile and her staff bend over backwards to make sure you have a good time and the food is very good the only drawback to my weekend was being transferd to the rundown royal seabank where the food was poor and the man next to me at the table asked for a chainsaw to cut his potatoes this is my second time at the seabank and both times the food was below par

First class
We recently stayed in a superior room at the Royal Seabank. This is our 5th year in succession, so that speaks volumes in our review score. The only gripe, and that of everyone in our group of 16 was concerning the arrivals and departures at different hotels. Dropping clients off and boarding others caused confusion and arguments when seats were booked but we're still occupied by arriving customers. It would have have been a lot easier if the incoming people were offloaded and then the bus then circled around to collect the outgoing guests. Thank you.

Royal sea bank
Had a good holiday in room and entertainment, dining area is very poor, if it was not for Damion and Ester we would have still been waiting for breakfast. The dining manager never approached us at all, as at night he was more concerned chatting to 2 polish girl workers, bring back original workers who was there last year.

NOT FOR FAMILIES
Booked a family holiday with my 4 year old son staying at the Royal Ruskin Hotel but they was nothing at all about this hotel that catered for children or anyone under the age of 50. We were put in room 15 right above the entertainment and both me and my son couldn’t sleep till after 1 due to the noise level, the room would be vibrating and so loud could t even here the tv. No entertainment at all for kids they were bored sitting through three lots of bingo and then the entertainment was aimed at OAPs which is the impression I get for the whole company. The kids food is the same repeated 6 things,chicken nuggets, burger, pizza, chips, sausage nothing healthy at all no veg or pastas just left over processed food.
Overall will not be booking with this company again until I’m retired.

We do feel your feedback to be very unfair and does not reflect truthfully on the hotel or it's staff.
First and foremost the Royal Ruskin is a live entertainment hotel - providing excellent nightly live cabaret plus bingo and resident host each night of the week. This is advertised on all of our paraphernalia and online.
Entertainment comes to a close at around the 12am mark / a little later on weekends however no later than 1am. This is to ensure our guests receive a good nights rest.
We are so sorry to learn you encountered noise disturbance in your room due to the entertainment in our cabaret lounge, firstly we feel your comment stating the hotel is not child friendly - to be very unfair, The Royal Ruskin is one of Blackpool's most popular hotels and is extremely popular with many families with young children - whom visit consistently each year due to the friendliness of staff, excellent entertainment and wonderful food on offer, partnered with the discounted attraction ticket offerings and superb Town Centre location - making the hotel an ideal choice for families with younger guests.
I have spoken with management regarding the issues raised in your review - management state they spoke to you personally on Thursday morning after you had asked to speak to a manager in private. Management took you to the cabaret room and spoke for some time with you – we believe at this point you explained that your little boy had had trouble sleeping because of the noise from the entertainment. Management apologised and showed empathy. Management kindly explained that we are a town centre hotel and that we are marketed as avenue that provides nightly entertainment.
Management took you to reception, and kindly offered a room move as a resolution – and explained that this particular room would be away from the Cabaret lounge – we believe you refused this however - due to the room type not being the same and that you did not want to move for the one night.
In reference to our children’s buffet - this offers a selection of kids favourites including sausages, burgers, pizza, chips, fish fingers – children are always welcome to choose a smaller portion from the main menu and often if requested - the hot starter can be served as a main meal. The team at the hotel will always go above and beyond for guests. should you not be satisfied with any of the items offered on our nightly menu - please speak with a member of the serving team who will be more than happy to speak with chef and arrange alternatives.
We are very sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Outstanding Service
We are just back from our annual holiday to Blackpool but first time staying in the Royal Ruskin Hotel. I cannot praise this hotel and their staff enough. The food was delicious, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely. We have just booked to go again next year and wanted to say a special thank you to Diane from Blackpool Promotions that has just dealt with my booking. She was so helpful and friendly and it really does make a huge difference to speak with someone that is pleasant and has good customer service skills. (I have previously spoken to a male employee who wasn't quite as friendly) so was lovely to have been served by Diane. Thank you. Can't wait to return, even if it is a year down the line!

This is the 1st holiday with Blackpool…
This is the 1st holiday with Blackpool Promotions it won't be my last! Booking was easy friendly and efficient service (thanks Gavin) also Meghan who helped when I was a bit confused a couple of weeks later. Journey was good. The Royal Seabank was great, room clean, reception staff more than helpful, restaurant staff friendly and very efficient food super best hotel food I've had will definitely book with them again.
