Our stay at the seabank A few things would make such a…
A few things would make such a difference WiFi code should be available without you having to ask reception staff.
Parking at £10 a day is ridiculous it’s down a dark alley not near the hotel.cars are illegally parked on double yellow lines at the entrance this makes it very very tight to enter and exit.
Your better on near by streets for free we did this after the first night
Due to the type of building the hotel is it’s not ideal if you have mobility problems i understand the hotel is an old building and making huge changes is not always possible,
The lift is so small you cannot go in with a walking aid on wheels or a child’s buggy
When I came out of the lift I still had 4 or 5 stairs to go down and the same to go up before I got to my room
Definitely not ideal in the morning the lifts are very busy the notice says 3 adults I don’t agree, 2 is a tight enough squeeze
The ensuite is tiny if your a big person you’ve no chance of having a shower.as it’s a cubical that’s opens at the corners it only slides back halfway. It is also impossible to properly cleaning yourself after using the toilet everything is so tightly fitted in.no hook to hang your dressing gown or nightie in the en-suite. I found that annoying I really don’t know where they expect you to hang your clothes. As you only have the WC or the wash basin,The shower base was very slippy I was terrified I’d slip, I mentioned this to another guest she suggested I used one of the towels to stand on that’s what she did. Surely a shower mat would be much better and dosen’t cost a lot of money.
I’d say it’s a health & safety issue especially when this hotel has so many elderly guests.
What wouldn’t go wrong is a information sheet telling you the system that’s used for guests in the dining room as waiters & waitress’s are trying to tell you while rushing back and forward with guests meals. the WiFi code could be included on this information sheet.plus useful local phone numbers.
What was good our room was spotless with really comfortable beds plenty of tea. coffee & milk there was also a fan in the room as it was very hot, no heating needed as the double glazing held the heat in from the sun.we had a fantastic view of the illuminations with the lit up trams passing.Definitely no complaint about the staff they are a credit to the owners
They are hard working and very pleasant.
We really panicked parking outside the hotel incase we received a parking ticket when unloading my mobility scooter.
It wasn’t until we checked in the girl at the reception told us your allowed 20mins this information should be given to guests prior to arrival
The hotel is ideally situated for all your entertainment
What I would liked to have seen is a area for smokers we couldn’t sit outside the grounds of the hotel as guests wishing to smoke sat wherever there was a seat, the air was thick most of the time.I feel the hotel is big enough to split the front seating area into a non smoking area and smoking area that way it would allow non smokers to enjoy the sea views. This is not healthy for non smokers or children breathing in secondary smoke.i also thought this seating area was very unkempt empty chip cartons under tables loads of birds feathers and general rubbish
As I said small changes could make a stay much more pleasant
I’ve no complaints about the food
You had 3 choice one being vegetarian
Cooked hot breakfast was very well cooked
ample on the plate for us.a man may have liked a bit more there was also individual packets of cereal. porridge.yogurts & fruit juice
Plenty of warm toast. Tea & coffee
Would I go back to the Royal Seabank
Probably not due to my mobility
The lift was a ordeal for me
The stairs caused me problems
The en-suite was far to small and could with a few additions ie clothes hooks and a rubber mat on the shower base.
The seating area outside wasn’t the best place for children or non smokers
Lack of in house information
We didn’t go to any of the in house entertainment, we could hear it from our room. There was a good selection of songs that I sang along with while in my bed. The noise didn’t annoy me I quite enjoyed it
Poor value at Royal Sebank Hotel
We spent 4 nights at the Royal Seabank Hotel We went all inclusive very poor value for money only had one lager on offer in the package (BUD Lite If you wanted another brand you had to pay for it. Our room was awfull Damp patches on the ceiling and Poistireen tiles on the ceilling not fitted correctly. The sink in the toilet was blocked and took a while to drain away spit reporting it twice to reception Sometimes the floor in the toilet got flooded. The floor in our room was on a slant so in bed at night it felt odd and if you got up through the night to use the toilet there was a risk of falling due to the uneven floor Spite paying £680 for the two of us for the 4 nights it was very poor value for money, We will never use the Royal Seabank of Blackpool promotions again
Unfortunately our holiday did not get…
Unfortunately our holiday did not get off to the best start, left Friday 29th July at 9.30am from Hamilton, expected arrival in Blackpool 1.30pm approx, due to an incident on the motorway earlier that morning heavy traffic had built up which is no one's fault but instead of leaving motorway at Garstang our driver stayed on the motorway we sat for 4 hours on a coach arrived Blackpool at 5pm, then queue to check in I was with my 7 year old grandson and we were shattered, hotel staff were friendly and helpful room basic but clean, TV wasn't working in our room but as we weren't bothering about TV reported it to reception on check out Monday 1st August
Do not ever go with blackpool…
Do not ever go with blackpool promotions or the royal boston
A homeless hostel would be better
My hotel
I was just at royal alexandra hotel in Blackpool when I went to reception i was told that there was no entertainment and no dinner i could go to another hotel but chose to stay put it was my son who paid for the break for me and had even paid extra for dinner nothing had been mentioned to my son when booking hotel about there being no dinner i have no complaints about my room it was lovely and clean and overall I enjoyed it just bit disappointed after advertising dinner and entertainment theres even a board outside stating entertainment nightly
terrible experience
Booked weekend break for grand national with self drive a dsicount of £25pp and received booking confirmation
Went to pay balance and booking confirmation stated no transport to aintree, which is not what my original confirmation stated
Telephoned them to be told that i had to pay another £30 to travel to aintree, i pointed out this was not what i booked and it was clear on their website that self drive was to blackpool and back they claimed i must have ticked no transport to aintree which i certainly did not then told pay it or make your own way to aintree.
Stayed at the the royal alexandria hotel, we had upgraded room it was tired looking and in need of decoration , mattress to small for bed frame and was held in place with towels jammed in at bottom of the bed.
Dinner on frid night was a booking system but food was at best lukewarm. Breakfast was a joke no system in place and long ques needless to say we didnt have breakfast as couldnt wait 40 minutes. Coach for aintree was 45 minutes late.
On arrival back at hotel dinner was stale sandwiches ,chicken nuggets and lukewarm soup hardly what we paid for.
The only saving grace for this hotel is the lovely staff
On coming home i emailed my original invoice with details of travel to aintree and requested refund of £30 with no correspondence
I ended up paying £10 less than my brother who travelled down by coach
My advise dont use this company customer service is a joke
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL !!!
Absolutely awful!
We stayed at the Royal Seabank hotel through Blackppol Promotions and it was the worst holiday we have ever had. Hotel room was dirty and small. The restaurant food was cold by the time we got it as the waiting staff we so slow at serving it and continuous Bingo is the main “entertainment” which brings them in a lot more income. I’m told that the hotel management know that there are issues at this hotel but they simply dismiss them because “people are only here for a few days anyway”. Obviously, Blackpool Promotions and the hotel management do not realise that if they get a poor reputation people will avoid going there and will not return!! POOR MANAGEMENT!
AVOID…STAY AT A REAL HOTEL
MacPhails Coaches to Blackpool…
Myself and my cousin have been using Blackpool Promotions 2 to 3 times a year for at least 8 years and our preferred hotel is The Royal Boston where we have been well looked after and feel very relaxed and comfortable from the start to the end of the breaks. I'm sad to say the last 2 breaks have been spoiled by the driver "Gary" and unsuitable "feeder" transport supplied by MacPhail Coaches. The last experience 22/26th Nov 21 was very distressing where "Gary" the driver was most unhappy to see a couple of walking aids was very rude "YOU! GET IN" he said and I had a terrible struggle getting into the "V class Mercedes" minibus with a step that was far too high. My cousin was reduced to tears and had to sit in the front with Mr. charming. As a result of this horrible experience with MacPhails Coaches we will no longer be booking with Blackpool Promotions which is sad because apart from the travel we LOVE THE BOSTON
Just back from the winter wonderland…
Just back from the winter wonderland short break it was brilliant from start to finish great value for money. The coach driver was very courteous. Kept us updated throughout our stay. The afternoon Tea was really good staff friendly. Royal Seabank Hotel staff we’re very friendly nothing was any trouble for them room was lovely and clean. Food was good entertainment was really good. We went to the Trafford Centre as it was a miserable day I would have liked to have stayed 2 nights burnt out today would definitely do it again.
Don't use this company
Don't use this company when booking any Hotels in Blackpool - their service is terrible when making a complaint - take your money quick enough.
We booked 5 nights bed & breakfast at the Royal Alexandra Hotel costing £1000 - Hotel a joke ,dirty not cleaned - breakfast was a joke you had to queue for 20 minutes due to no staff and a couple of mornings the table we were seated at was not cleaned.
The staff seemed more interested in serving the young Fleetwood Town football players that were staying there.
The Hotel advertised nightly entertainment - there was none all week.
We had 2 young kids with us and i was scared to put them down in various areas throughout the Hotel.
I have now emailed this company 4 times with the photos and our complaint and keep getting fobbed off "saying they will reply in 28 days" due to lack of staff !!!!!
Crap Service
Tried booking with Blackpool Promotions today, phoned 3 times each time put through to extension 601only for a recorded message to say there was no one there! Requested a call back, waited in for 90 minutes no call. Messaged them again to forget it. Consequently one of their hotels has lost £1,500.00 of business
traveling with Blackpool Promotions
traveling with Blackpool Promotions.
I travel on the 23rd. July with Blackpool Promotion , to start the train was late, that was not there fault, the train was 40minutes late i phoned to tell them and was told just to go to the pickup point in Preston, it was outside at TKM, i was waiting and no bus there getting panicked phone there office told it was outside the station so as they had my phone no. why did they not let me know. plus someone did:nt get of the train another hold up.
we arrived at the hotel at 3,30 if i went with bus would have been about 1.30..
the room was small not Fabulous room as advertised, no chair to sit on, pillows smelled as there was a cushion on them that hadn;t seen soap and water for a long time.
Food was not up to much breakfast looked nice sometimes a bit to cold for me and so was diner .
I have a kidney transplant so i am a bit fussy but do like hot food.
I had to pay £1.50 extra as i was drinking pink gin, but i was there last September and it was just one pound,
going home by train and train was at 11.41 but was picked up at 10.00 am, so i had 1 hour wait at Preston Station
I was staying at the Royal Carlton and travelled from
Glasgow.
Tram scandal …

I was in the royal seabank hotel
I was in the royal seabank hotel, i have been going every year but this is the last time i go with Blackpool Promotions the hotel has gone downhill and the buses was a nightmare, they used to use Dobbs of troon and they had 2 drivers this new company had only 1 driver so had to stop for 45 mins because driver could not drive over 4 hours 30mins, notice up in hotel said we stop east kilbride, kilmarnock then ayr we ended up going to irvine also,we also had to stop in hamilton so they could change drivers, the bus was to arrive at seabank hotel about 2.20pm did not turn up till nearer 4pm had to get out room for 10am so sat about from 10am till 4pm i did not get home till 10pm blackpool promotions has been sold was told it was bought over by Tartan Travels, so never again will i go with blackpool promotions
Just back from royalseabank hotel…
Just back from royalseabank hotel Friday to Monday paid £650 for my 17 year old and 8 year old, first night we had dinner went up to entertainment couldn’t get in the place was full so we had to entertain ourselves which isn’t fair at all after paying all this money to do without entertainment I didn’t get to play bingo full weekend I was there and they say it’s all inclusive plus that’s a complete rip off I asked for a WKD which I had to pay 1.50 every time I wanted this as they say it’s an upgrade, on pick up day our bus was due to arrive but didn’t I then had to ask reception for information to be told our bus won’t be arriving to 3pm wasn’t told what happened why the bus was late I heard other guests talking amongst themselves that 2 tires had completely burst on way so this took more time waiting in this hotel I then complained to reception again that Blackpool promotion should accommodate us which they did give us 1 drink for the 2/1 hours wait for the bus I’m not complaining about the bus driver as this out his control and he’s a brilliant guy with good banter, another thing we didn’t get a proper nights sleep as we where up scratching like we where getting biting by bedbugs this made me very anxious 😥 overall I won’t ever return with Blackpool promotions again I paid far to much money for this hotel it’s understaffed for a start and some staff are ignorant to the point I had to move off my seat to ask for drink I had 3 alcohol drinks the full weekend I was there so I would have saved money by going to a B&B I would have got a better service with them.
Just back from Royal Alexandra Friday…
Just back from Royal Alexandra Friday toMonday I paid £550 for me and my two 15 year old granddaughters to say I was disappointed is an understatement I was Bed and breakfast in what they classed a Premier Room 🤔there was no entertainment on at the hotel if I had been informed of this I would not have booked as being with 2 young girls I couldn’t go out in Blackpool at night also they’ve stopped the tram passes another reason I biked with Blackpool Promotions to say I was underwhelmed is an understatement 😡update 4 weeks after complaining still never had a reply from them not good customer service

I am very disappointed in Blackpool promotions last year myself my wife lost out due to coravirus we were told we couldn't get our deposits back so we rebooked for july this year so as you know no one knew how long lockdown was going to last now my circumstances had changed i am now disabled and bedridden I phoned Blackpool promotions to ask for my deposits back and was told if I cancelled i would lose out again but I told them I am disabled and bedridden but they did not want to know it is disgusting how customers don't get a message text or any response from last year to now but people work from home simple enough for them to let customers know yes they did start back today but every other company works from home why not Blackpool promotions all I can say they have lost customer bad bad bad no other words for it yes I didn't take insurance out because we didn't know what was going to happen from last year to this year but Blackpool promotions shame on you how you treat disabled people.
