This is my second review of BetweenBox…
This is my second review of BetweenBox on Trustpilot. The first review I left on November 21, 2020, rated at 5 stars following my first experience using their service. I again used them two other times between November and December 2020.
In May 2021 I sent a small package of reusable cloth face masks to Between Box for reshipment to me. The Colissimo rate quoted by Between Box for a package of 200g to international zone B is 47€, whereas Colissimo rates for under 500g is 19.20€ which is over double the public rate.
After receiving the quote, multiple times I emailed, called, left messages on their website and Facebook page requesting that they please review and revise the quoted rate for the Collissimo, at 47€ is unrealistic given the weight of the items to be shipped.
I received my first and only reply from them 18 days later, as follows, and none to any of my subsequent attempts to contact them as their reply did not respond to any of the questions or issues I raised:
"We are really sorry for the inconvenience because we have a difficult contexte with Covid 19 (We are working with a reduced team)
Could you check your order and let us know if you have an issue (For the moment we don't work with DHL but you can use FedEx)"
I felt they held my package hostage until I would pay the exorbitant amount of shipping charges for 200g, and I had no recourse but to pay the full amount as quoted, which I did. I received my package, intact, about 2 weeks later.
I certainly don't have any problem with paying for a reshipment service charge. Obviously, the company has to make its money somehow to stay in business. However, the service charge should be clearly itemized and indicated in their shipping quote and on their website. What I don't appreciate is the complete lack of communication and responsiveness to the issue I repeatedly raised and the lack of any attempt to either explain to me the logic or to find a solution.
I no longer recommend the BetweenBox services and will not be using them again.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. I have used this service twice. The first time the communication was bad but eventually I got my parcel. The second experience has been horrendous. They have had my parcel since the beginning of May, and have ignored all my emails and messages. The parcel is now no longer showing in my account and I have not been sent my parcel. It was quite a rare and pricey item so I cannot replace. I am so disappointed and will not use them again.

This service worked for the first 2 months but recently they have lost 2 parcels of mine and don't answer their phone or respond to emails.

If possible, I’ll rate them 0 because they don’t reply through emails and they don’t answer their phones either. My package has been with them since February!

Do not deal with this company, they are so lazy to reply via emails, very unprofessional, and shipping prices are abnormal.

Possible Scam
The company received my items and asked for some additional ID documents which I promptly provided. Over 3 weeks later, they haven't replied to any e-mails and don't answer the phone! Avoid them!
Shocking
Shocking. As per the reviews below, I was told three weeks ago that my package had been shipped. Having checked numerous times on the DPD website, it states that the package is still sat in Lyon.
I doubt I'll see the (expensive) package, or indeed the money I paid for the items within.
Utterly disappointed. Would give zero stars if it were possible.
