Poor quality

Poor quality, broken section of barrier and scratched on arrival.
Delivered to the wrong address and we had to collect from there.

Delivery Date Not Fulfilled

Order was placed online for delivery Tuesday. Waited all day, called Barriers Direct at 4pm to be told it was in transit due for delivery by 6pm. Waited until 6.30pm. No delivery. Email issued to Barriers Direct no reply.
Confirmation of dispatch was received in the early hours of the morning. Barrier eventually arrived on the Thursday. No response to any emails sent.
Barriers Direct - Please don't take orders and quote delivery dates you can't fulfill.
Don't tell customers its in transit when it's clearly not

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the frustration caused by the delay to your delivery.

We would like to clarify that we would never knowingly provide misleading information regarding an order's status. At the time of your call, we were advised by the courier that the shipment was in transit and scheduled for delivery that day. Unfortunately, once an order has been collected and is with the courier, we are reliant on the information they provide and, in this instance, the delivery did not proceed as expected.

We appreciate that the delay from Tuesday to Thursday was disappointing, particularly after you had planned around the original delivery date. We also apologise if you did not receive a timely response to your emails during this period.

While we work hard to meet our quoted delivery schedules, there are occasions when courier networks experience delays that are beyond our direct control. We understand your concerns and will use your feedback to review both our communication processes and how we update customers when courier delays occur.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Well considering im still waiting on my…

Well considering im still waiting on my delivery and its been cancelled everyday since Tuesday how can I rate it any higher. Cannot even contact FedEx who they use as a courier as im not the sender

The contact with administration was…

The contact with administration was good
Our problem came when joining the final lower bolt, that the sections were VERY difficult to line up, it was managed finally with a strong clamp. Once in place the tree barriers look very good

Very helpful customer service team

Very helpful customer service team. Placed an order, realised we'd ordered the wrong thing and they were very happy to cancel and rearrange to meet our needs. Friendly and helpful throughout.
We've only just received the product, so no feedback on that yet, but it looks good to start with so we're hopeful!

Online, On Time, On Budget - do me a favour!

Ordered a Heavy Duty Hi-Vis Bollard, black with yellow stripes, sized 114 x 1000mm and got sent the wrong size. Rang up Customer Service and although they were extremely keen (and on the ball) to get the larger, more expensive bollard back, they are currently not at all bothered about getting the one that I ordered to me. I have workmen who need it at the start of next week so I have now rung four times, only to be told that both Racheal and Ellie are sending emails to the supplier but they are not answering them. Heaven forbid that (considering it is the Company's mistake) one of them picks up the phone and contacts the supplier direct! It is obviously beyond the wit of man, or at least the ability of Barriers Direct's Customer Service Department. "Online, On Time, On Budget" my backside!

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that you received the incorrect bollard and that the replacement process took longer than expected.

To clarify the circumstances, the incorrect item was supplied by the manufacturer, and as soon as we were notified on 18th May, our support team contacted the supplier the following morning and requested immediate dispatch of the correct bollard. We also arranged for collection of the incorrect item and provided the supplier with all information required to process the replacement.

While we understand your frustration, it is not correct that we were "not at all bothered" about supplying the replacement or that we relied solely on emails. As I can see from our logs, the team repeatedly contacted the manufacturer by both email and telephone throughout the process, with multiple members of staff actively chasing updates and requesting expedited action on your behalf. We also kept in regular contact with you whenever new information became available.

The supplier confirmed that the replacement bollard was dispatched on 22nd May. Unfortunately, the shipment was then delayed within the courier network, which was outside both our and the supplier's direct control. We continued to pursue updates from both the supplier and courier until delivery was finally completed on 28th May.

We fully appreciate that the delay caused inconvenience, particularly given the work scheduled on site, and for that we sincerely apologise. However, we do feel it is important to note that our customer service team worked continuously to resolve the issue, escalating the matter on numerous occasions and chasing both the supplier and courier throughout.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention, and we are genuinely sorry that your experience fell short of the standard we aim to provide.

Great customer service on the phone and super speedy delivery with them being despatched on the same day and delivered the next day. would definitely use again.

I ordered a barrier on the 1st of May…

I ordered a barrier on the 1st of May and it still has not been delivered, I've had multiple calls to this company and their delivery service and still no sign of the barrier. This company uses DX to ship their products and they're notorious for not actually delivering.

Firstly, we would like to apologise for the delays you experienced with your order. We fully appreciate that the delivery took significantly longer than the original estimated lead time and understand why this caused frustration.

However, we feel it is important to clarify the circumstances surrounding this order. When you contacted us regarding the delay, we immediately contacted the manufacturer to investigate and establish the status of the shipment. We subsequently discovered that the order had not yet been dispatched and pressed for an urgent resolution. The manufacturer then arranged shipment via DX, and we kept you informed of the updates provided to us throughout the process.

Unfortunately, further delays then occurred within the courier network. When it became apparent that part of the consignment was missing, we escalated the matter directly with both the manufacturer and DX, repeatedly chasing for updates and seeking confirmation of the whereabouts of the outstanding package. We also formally escalated your complaint and continued to provide updates as information became available.

We understand your comments regarding DX and recognise that the courier's performance fell below expectations on this occasion. However, the delays were not due to a lack of action from our customer service team. Throughout the process, we remained in regular contact with both the manufacturer and courier in an effort to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

While we regret that the order took considerably longer than the estimated 7–10 working days to arrive, we are pleased that all four parts of the barrier were ultimately delivered and that the order was completed.

We sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.
