Baby sensory team
I would give ZERO star if it’s an option.
Please can you reply to the email I sent you on Friday or you can acknowledge the email I sent?

I emailed my class leader twice in a space of month time then I also email info@wow last Friday. Can someone please get back to me??? I did NOT want to write this review on here but you left me with no choice.
Thanks

Croft Warrington
I attended a class today at Croft, Warrington. It was a gifted class from a friend who could not attend. I was a little nervous as my son and I had never attended anything like that before but Jacob seemed to be enjoying himself.
During a play break a lady named Laura who I have recently found out is the Warrington regional manager came over to chat and infront of other parents commented on the shape of my child's head and that he had 'moulding' I explained it was a difficult labour and he had a forceps delivery but was checked at hospital and at his 6-8 week check by the GP. She proceeded to tell me about the importance of tummy time, to me, implying that the reason for his misshapen head was due to lack of tummy time/ being left on his back for too long.
I didn't say anything at the time but when the other parents left explained that I didn't appreciate her comment on my baby's head shape as I suffered from post natal anxiety relating to my son's health. She told me that she is a practitioner and she can tell parents things such as this as it is detrimental to brain development. She also said she appreciated my feedback!!
I held it together until I got to the car and sobbed all the way home. I then rang my health visitor who assured me everything was fine with Jacob's development and a baby's head can change up to them being 18 months old and the class leader should not have passed comment as she is not a medical professional, certainly not infront of anybody and in the manner in which she did. She did not know my child's medical history or mine and handled this situation unprofessionally.
The Warrington franchise ran by this 'professional' is giving this company a bad name. I was embarrassed, made to feel an inadequate mother and this incident triggered my anxiety. Thank goodness I have an amazing health visitor who does her job properly.

WARNING ...BENEFITED FROM LOCKDOWN
owed for 6 sessions that didnt take place. Offered us to sit in front of TV to watch online classes. This is not what sensory is or what we signed up for. very unprofessional handling of cancelled classes and for people on maternity pay with a low income already. When trying to get money back owner mentioned if she paid me back she would owe £8000 to everyone else. find it shocking they kept all this money. STAY AWAY FROM WAKEFIELD SENSORY

A shame as the in person classes are great, but impossible to get a refund for classes cancelled due to covid! I emailed the address they put on previous reviews but they were no help either. £67.50 down the drain!

Stopped going to class due to COVID. For a number of reasons couldn’t do the online classes. Requested a refund mid May (For the following term and Easter party £66 not pocket change) and leader agreed. Further requests made. Still waiting refund. Terrible customer service.

This is a review about the @home baby…
This is a review about the @home baby sensory classes being run at the East Cheshire owners home during lockdown.
I’m not a customer of this but I am a neighbour to somebody who is running these classes from her house. I’m disgusted and stressed to the max at how inconsiderate the person running the East Cheshire franchise is being. She is playing the music during the classes full blast, with her speaker on our shared wall. This is preventing me from home schooling my child and “Bex” is more than aware of this but doesn’t care in the slightest. So much for putting childrens mental well-being first! Both the local council and landlord of the property have asked her to turn her music down and preferably move her speaker but she point blank refuses. She was also verbally abusive to me because I complained about the noise, great role model there Bex! I have multiple disabilities and trying to teach my child is difficult enough as it is but what this despicable neighbour is doing just makes it impossible. I have complained to the main Baby Sensory who own the franchises but as of 2 months later, I’ve heard nothing.
Baby Sensory @ Home is a letdown
I started taking my little one to baby sensory at seven weeks old and each week she was in awe with the experience, I think my only disappointment would be the home sessions. Since closing their doors due to the pandemic, they have taken to our screens however I do feel as if this could have been better managed.
Unfortunately, getting an email the day before our session with a list of "household" items makes it impossible to get on such short notice during these trying times.
It would be nice if the team just took a breather, planned sessions properly and put together a timetable with the required resources in advance to save the awkwardness and disappointment on the day.

Baby Sensory Online is Woeful
As a paediatric physiotherapist, with experience running groups and teletherapy, I have found the quality and standard of the groups woeful. It is poorly organised. We get an email the night before of what resources we need to source for the session, the video and sound quality is average. And I wish I could say the content was appropriate for the age range that they suggest however I would argue the sensory over stimulation that occurs in session would not be suitable for children under 6 months of age.
I used to suggest this as a community group option to the families I worked with. I however can not professionally recommend this anymore.

Good classes, extremely poor handling of lockdown
The classes themselves are excellent, but the way they have handled coronavirus is not. They have set up an online version, I understand, but the lady running the classes in my area is not running online sessions. I'm not sure I would attend if she had, as I don't see how a screen can provide the same range of sensations. The email I was sent said I was essentially being given a credit note for future classes. As the classes are up to 13 months of age this effectively means I have to have another child to use it, or it was helpfully suggested I give it as a gift. Expensive gift! The email ended saying that the leader 'could not give refunds at this time'. I think this might actually be illegal. We have previously been given refunds for classes that were cancelled when the class leader was unwell. I would be reluctant to recommend them, as there is a possibility of future lockdowns and everyone attending would just lose all their money.

Refused refund despite no classes
Wish I could give no stars! I signed up and paid for the baby sensory classes for the 2nd term starting 20th March and the day before it got cancelled because of the coronavirus which ok I get it. So I asked for a refund and they said they will keep me posted. They then told me via a huge text message that they can’t give a refund and don’t actually have the funds to give a refund and will give me a credit as I didn’t want to do the home baby sensory class. I wanted to get my baby socialised too and this doesn’t work. I don’t want to put my baby in front of a screen. I then called Alison as soon as I got the message and she gave so many excuses and said she offered to give partial refund from her pocket to participate in home baby sensory classes. I didn’t want this and told her it’s not out of her pocket, I’ve paid $158.40 and no class, it’s actually coming out of my pocket. So many excuses including her complaining about her own financial situation and not thinking about others. I had to ask numerous times for head office phone number to escalate it and finally she said she would message it to me. I got a message with Ellie’s mobile number, not a head office number.
I called the number it rang and ended with beep beep beep so I called again straight away and went to message bank so I left a message saying my name and that Alison is refusing to give a refund and if she can call me back to discuss.
Ellie calls me back about half an hour later and complained that it is her day off and I offered to speak on a weekday and she said well we are on the phone now so let’s talk abruptly. I asked if she knew the situation going on and she was being smart saying I know about the coronavirus and what’s happening in the world. I was in shock, didn’t sound professional at all. She was rude, angry and abrupt before I even got there. She said I won’t be getting a refund and I said I will have to take it up with consumer affairs and she said do it you still won’t get your money back! I don’t think these people care at all about families and babies. I don’t want to do it at all anymore as I don’t want to deal with these rude nasty people.
I will be taking it further and calling consumer affairs on Monday.
UPDATE: I paid through PayPal so opened a dispute for a refund and after over a week of them investigating, they ruled in my favour so waiting for the funds to come through. If you paid with PayPal this could be an option for the people being refused a refund.

The entire term has been cancelled and…
The entire term has been cancelled and I have been refused a refund. This is little more than theft. I have been told they can't do it as its due to coronavirus so basically while we struggle due to the virus baby sensory, a large company are profiting from classes they are not providing. I am disgusted and will not be using them in future. I will make sure to tell as many people as possible.

3 months and no refund!
The classes themselves (from what my wife tells me) are amazing and really good for our little one.
However the reason for the poor review is that 3 months ago I paid for a Father’s class, 1.5hrs before the class I received a text saying it was cancelled - no issue.
The class was never rebooked and I have now been chasing for 3 months for a refund. I keep being told it is being done and still nothing - only £7 - but this is a joke.
I will not be using them again - if I do not get a refund soon then I will reporting it to my bank for theft.
UPDATE 12 June
I received a reply from head office the day after I sent the review and assuring me how important it is for them to resolve this.
Here we are 9 days later and still no response from them - you could not make it up!

My little boy Rayaan loves the sessions. His been going since he was 2 months old. We keep coming back every week because he loves the sessions, it allows me to get out of the house and my son has a blast! Highly recommend it. My boy is nearly 9 months old and I can honestly say his learnt so many new skills and has become very socialable. Each lesson makes a huge difference and I love taking my baby boy to something he is enjoying! Thank you ladies...you are truly the best at what you do xxx

My twin boys are now 9 months old and we have been going since they were 12 weeks old and we still absolutely love it! The classes are always well thought out and the people running it are very knowledgeable with a passion for what they do. The playbreak half way through the class also encourages the mums/dads to get to know each other. We go to many different classes but if you only attend one baby class a week - this is the definitely the one!

There are so many great ideas to take away and try at home. Each week is different and the sessions are delivered with such enthusiasm. I love attending for my little one to have such enjoyment from a variety of stimuli ' singing, stories, puppets, lights, bubbles, exploration play, tactile items and more.
Such a fantastic group
Such a fantastic group. Both my baby and I love going along. Group leaders are always super enthusiastic and when we’ve not been able to attend they’ve been very understanding and offered alternatives. A great team providing a fantastic service. Going to miss it once my baby is too old to go!
Great classes, lose the pseudoscience
The classes are great. I'm doing them now with my second child. The leader is excellent and the babies love her.
Not 5 stars as although Baby Sensory pride themselves on the science behind their activities some of the 'facts' seem very dubious. We were told about toxins escaping through babies feet the other week...
I'd rather just enjoy the classes as they are knowing my baby is engaged and enjoying them.
Really enjoying our baby sensory…
Really enjoying our baby sensory sessions at Jubilee Hall on a Thursday. Always something different and well planned and organised sessions keep baby and mummy happy! I would definitely recommend the sessions to a new parent as a lovely way to spend time with your baby. We have also booked the individual one off sessions at Halloween and Christmas.
