Rückerstattung ist wirklich frustrierend
Ich bestelle immer wieder gern, weil mir die Kleidung wirklich gut gefällt. Die Qualität ist in der Regel gut, wobei das ein oder andere Teil nicht ganz meinen Erwartungen entspricht.
Was mir leider ein bisschen die Freude trübt, ist die Rückabwicklung: Es dauert wirklich lange, bis Rückerstattungen bearbeitet werden. Ich verstehe, dass es sich um ein kleines Unternehmen handelt, aber mehrere Wochen warten zu müssen, ist schon etwas frustrierend.
Scammy return policy
I bought a pair of boots for my elderly mother. I paid $61.96 total. We bought the size mom usually wears but the boots we received were way too wide. I contacted avenue to start a return. Had to pay for the shipping back and when I received my refund it was for $36.99.
Buyer beware- they have a bunch of fees if you need to return an item.

There are off shore companies that do business in the US, and the standard that I am used to, is that you get to ship back to a warehouse in the US for a nominal fee.
Beware!!! They do not let you cancel an order
I placed an order online with them and after seeing no progress on the status of the order I called to cancel the order. The order was not shipped. They insisted it could not be cancelled. So they are forcing me to pay the outrageous freight cost as well as the return freight cost. I asked to escalate the call - no luck. Asked for a credit for freight - nope. Asked for them to send the return label now so I didn't have to call back - nope. Because they can't issue a return label when the order has not shipped yet. Absolute robbery.
I wish I could leave zero stars
I wish I could leave zero stars. They offer clothing that is priced around $25 and then the charge suddenly jumps to $45 as soon as you run it through PayPal. Shipping and handling should not be anywhere near that expensive, and it is a hidden and predatory style of charging.
Also when I clicked "pay", there was no receipt coming up so that I could have proof of the original charge or what exactly was ordered on what day.
I would not buy from them until they change their predatory behavior.

Got an email from my bank saying a change was made to Avenue on my card. (I get one every time my card is charged).
Wasn't my purchase. Called Avenue, they refused to do anything about it.
Luckily my bank will.

Long time customer
I’ve been shopping with them for over 20 years, maybe longer. I’ve always been plus sized and it’s been very difficult for me to find shoes that are comfortable and fit. The avenue has always been my go to place for shoes.
Over the years there prices have gone up dramatically and It saddens me to say this, but their quality has fallen off. The shoes run smaller now and I’m going a width up and a size up and they are still too small. My foot is the same length it has been all my life. So my foot should not be hanging off the back or sides of the shoe. That’s the issue for me the bottom base of the shoes are not plus size, which is unfair for those that are plus size.
These guys are shady
These guys are shady. I ordered a gift from my wife and it did not fit, so I returned the item minus the stocking fee which I expected. However shortly after that I started to see fees on my card for some reward program for 16.95 per month which I never agreed to. Checked on my card and these are manually entered in by someone at their firm without your authorization. They hope they can slide it through without you noticing their underhanded trick. Do not buy from them. I contacted my credit card and told them I never authorized payments for any reward program. I purchased a coat for my wife which did not fit and returned for less the value. I told my wife never buy from them again, they have been billing me all this time and I did not know. So they have been reported and I called the service desk and ask that they put back what they have taken and to erase my information from their records. I will be watching them and will report their shady busy tactics.

I placed an ordered on Jan 24th 2026, it said 5-7 business days. Here it is Feb 18th 2026 and still not here. I have called 3 times, the last person just told me its a shipping issues and if its not here by tomorrow to call for a refund. But also said if it comes in a week or 2 they will recharge my card, which i don't think is fair. If they can't communicate with their shipping people that's not my fault and it should be their lose, sorry not sorry. I have ordered several things in the past and when the store was available to shop at. Very disappointed in this transaction

Shame it can be zero stars - Paid £50 for a Nike knitted top. What i got was a print of a knitted top that is absolutly appaling quality and clearly NOT nike ...i will now be calling Amex to try and put my payment into dispute.

This company is literally incompetent or archaic? On purpose. I have never done an online orders that disappears after they receive it, in order history it is gone! $85 order gone. Ive called customer service and they reassure me the order is being shipped. My order is still not showing on my acct and apparently this is how they do business. This is INSANE? NO TRACKING, NO WAY TO SEE WHERE MY ORDER IS!! like im furious! My husband bought me this for my birthday! This company is obviously out of the US and eveything they do is incredibly shady. You will mot receive a tracking number! Even when I call the automated line it says it was shipped thru DHL (shady international) and then thru usps. But NO TRACKING NUMBER AND NO RECORD OF MY ORDER IN MY ACCOUNT? WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DOES THIS?
Falsche Abbuchung und Probleme bei der Rückerstattung
Ich musste bisher bei jeder Bestellung (3x) hinter meiner Rückerstattung hinterher laufen und selbst nachhalten, welche Artikel ich retoruniert habe. In 2 Fällen wurde mir die gesamte Summe in Rechnung gestellt und ich blieb zuerst auf den Kosten sitzen. Das Verbuchen meines Gutscheins hat auch 2x nicht geklappt und ich musste vorrechnen, wo der Fehler in der Abrechnung bei Avenue lag. Beim letzten Mal wurde auf meine Mails mit der Forderung nach meiner Rückerstattung nicht reagiert. Erst als ich den Fall bei Paypal gemeldet habe, bekam ich eine Antwort und meine Rückerstattung.

If I could give them zero stars I would.Spent over a thousand dollars with them and they still wanted to make me pay for back ordered merchandise. Called customer service got nothing but attitude and pretty much telling me how much they charged me.I was telling them I used affirm to pay the bill and I got charged the full amount of the order.
They never sent affirm no adjustment payments for the items that was back ordered. Call the corporate office and got hung up on.I love they clothes but that's how yall treat a customer who spent over a grand on clothes. I'll never shop the site again.
Partial refund
Very low quality items. I asked for a refund for an item I purchased and only received partial when I should've received all of my money. Buy from this site at your own risk

Horrific experience
Horrific experience. Items are over priced and poor made. I ordered a tunic on my usual size. It arrived wnd was too small. Eith the shipping fees being too high I ended paying way too much for the item. I tied to exchange it and the customer service said they don't exchange. I will have to return the item for a gift card or reimbursement to my card. I paid over $55 for the blouse but if I want to get reimbursement directly to my card I will get 34 minus 10.99 fee for return it. If I want a gift card I will get the 34 but no taxes or shipping fees. I don't think this is very fair since I feel like they're stealing from what I previously paid. Would never order from them in the future.
Buyer Beware of Online The Avenue Store
Ordered next day delivery for $40.00 on 12/18 for my mother in laws birthday on 12/23. I didn't receive the shoes until 12/26 - after Christmas. Called various times for tracking number and offshore reps could not even confirm the date of delivery. Attempted to return the item but would be charged 10.99 to return and my original shipping costs would not be reimbursed. The box looked like it had been through an assembly line. Had a hole in the shoe box. I decided to keep the item b/c it wasn't worth sending back for only $20.00, driving to a store and paying for a return. I will NEVER order from this store again. It's a shame as The Avenue once had quality clothing & good reputation. Cautioning all buyers to beware of ordering from the online store.

Bestellung am 14.12.25., angegebene Lieferzeit 5–7 Werktage. Bis kurz vor Weihnachten (23.12.25) wurde die Ware nicht einmal versendet und auf Kontaktversuch erfolgte keine Rückmeldung.
Da es sich um ein Weihnachtsgeschenk handelte, habe ich den Vertrag widerrufen (am 23.12.25) und anschließend – mangels Reaktion – einen PayPal-Fall eröffnet (28.12.25). Erst daraufhin meldete sich das Unternehmen heute und „stornierte“ die Bestellung, obwohl der Widerruf bereits erfolgt war.
Besonders irritierend: Statt die ausbleibende Lieferung oder fehlende Kommunikation zu reflektieren, wurde der Fokus auf den angeblich unangemessenen Ton meinerseits gelegt.
Mein Fazit: Lange Wartezeit, keine proaktive Kommunikation, Reaktion erst nach PayPal-Eskalation. So stelle ich mir fairen Online-Handel leider nicht vor.
