If I could give 0 stars I WOULD! AVOID This is a scam site. Took my money and item never arrived. Can't get in touch with them. Eventually spoke to the 'Chatbot' said an investigation for a refund would take 180 days! Do not get lured in by this FAKE site!

I’ve ordered a Chanel perfume which they obviously didn’t have in stock. The item was never shipped to me and after contacting Avenue retail many times about my order they finally admitted they cancelled my order and reassured me they would refund the money back to my account. 2 weeks later and surprise surprise the money was never refunded and they are now not even replying to my messages! I’ve looked into this company and it looks like they are running a large scale fraud by pretending to have availability of stock on line when in reality the have no stock to sell, so purchases will never be shipped to customers , and of course the refunds are never processed either! I can’t believe this site is still trading and that the owner has not been caught and arrested yet!!!

Do not order from this company. They are scammers. Took my money, no email confirmation. waisted two weeks, nothing. Contacted them they said the order is being processed. Still nothing. Contacted them again as read bad reviews. They became very rude calling me a ‘dummy’ when I asked if they sell fakes but advertise as legit brands hence why orders are takin so long as they must be coming from overseas. They said my order must be dodgy. Any reputable company would not call a customer a ‘dummy’ argue back or use the term ‘dodgy’. STAY CLEAR! UPDATE TO THE REPLY FROM AVENUE. I HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF THE CHAT. I will upload.UPDATE to reply. I asked you if you buy fake goods from overseas and sell as genuine brands over here hence why it’s taking so long, it was a genuine question which has clearly hit a nerve, you proceeded to get defensive and call me a ‘dummy’ and say my order must be ‘dodgy’ no professional company would use the terms ‘dummy’ or ‘dodgy’ UPDATE. Just like the other recent reviews, the company has failed to dispatch the item, has sent no confirmation but is holding my funds.
I strongly recommend you avoid using Avenue.
Adding an update post your response: Companies House shows the company was only established in May 2025 by 1 individual (Richard Jacobs) with a Nigerian nationality. The same individual has links to a holding company, established a month earlier, that changed its name 3 times in 2025 and is listed to the same holding address. Jacob Richards identity has not been validated via the Companies House portal.
The company address is a generic holding address, not a company headquarters.
The website chatbot is buggy and unresponsive.
Wording on various parts of the website is incoherent.
This is a scam site.
The information referenced above is all publicly available. The business and its owner have been referred to CIFAS for fraud, with a follow up to Companies House to request it be stuck off.

Order trainers for my wife for Christmas, received no confirmation, no reply to chase up emails, no reply on live chat, payment is showing as pending on paypal..so cannot set up dispute.
Judging by the other reviews - (just read) looks like I have been scammed out of £90

I can't reply to the rubbish just posted by Avenue, so will reply within this original review.
Isn't this interesting that the only correspondence from Avenue is calling this review "Fake", so the other dozens of similar reviews must be fake as well.
What a disgusting company, absolute scammers, useless, fraudulent, disonest.
How about just refunding the money for the products you had absolutely no intention of sending in the first place.
Next stop County Court, and I'll copy and paste the Judgement here so we can see this "Fake Review"

I have never encountered such poor customer service or ability to speak to anyone within the company. Avenue’s lack of response or accountability for lack of service is appalling. I feel like I have been scammed!

I do not think this is a legitimate business, and if it is it is a very poor one. I am £190 down on some boots that never showed up and have been unable to make contact after multiple attempts on both the customer service email and the chat function.
The most recent email to customer services bounced back.
Edit to add: I tried emailing again, and again the email bounced back, so I think they have blocked my email address.

I ordered a pair of shoes advertised at £60, to have a dodgy PayPal email come through (which was not my payment method) confirming order. I had to chase this up a week later to then be told that I needed to pay an extra £110 to get the order. I received a lot of weird messaged via chatbot forcing me to buy the shoes or he'd charge £5 cancellation fee. Save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere. I will be reporting to trading standards.

Just following up from my review and Avenue's response on Trustpilot. I went through all the channels they suggested and, no surprise, I've not had a reply or a refund for the boots I ordered in early September. Nothing. In fact, when i one to log into to my Avenue account, it appears it has been deleted, presumably along with any 'chats' I had on their site. I am £231.99 poorer. Hopefully this will mean you can benefit from my experience. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
I'm writing further to Avenue's template response to my post. Don't be fooled by their false concern about 'standards'. As stated, I've gone through all though suggested contact channels and nothing happens. Nothing. Zero results. No boots, no refund, nothing. And, after posting a few weeks ago, my Avenue account has mysteriously vanished too. Going on three months since the order was placed. Really, don't be fooled by facade of reasonableness. Avoid like the plague.
In reply to Avenue's post today....This is total fiction. I am a private customer, not part of 'part of an agency/ group of accounts on our watch list using trustpilot to deliberately target our business.’ This is a preposterous and entirely false accusation. I’ve only posted on Trustpilot about two companies. If Avenue was genuinely conducting an ‘ongoing investigation’, it would see all of the emails I sent to so-called customer service as well as all my entries on Avenue’s on line chat channels. If you’d bother to actually read what I’d written, you’d know all this. Stop dodging the truth - my order was never sent and Avenue has not refunded me. This has been going on since SEPTEMBER. I’m horrified to read that Avenue has plans to ‘expand’!! It’s one thing to ‘refuse service’, it's entirely another to accept an order, take payment, not send the order and not refund the customer!!! I’m sticking to my message: BUYER BEWARE!

I purchased an item from Avenue Retail in September and never received the goods. I subsequently chased for a response and a refund and was advised that they did refund me the money - which is not the case! The latest response from them is "if you haven't received a refund, file a chargeback with your bank".
Please do not use this site - you will NOT receive the goods, and you will NOT receive any refund.

I ordered some shoes for a Christmas present. They gave me no delivery details, no tracking and after all this, no shoes. I tried to email, tried to call and tried online chat and have failed to get through to anyone after spending 3 hours.
Useless. Do not trust this seller!

They took my money, didn't dispatch the items I purchased and haven't refunded me! They then told me it was my banks fault that the refund has not been cleared. I called my bank and they said no refund has ever been processed. I'm now have to go through the inconvenience of processing a dispute claim. Do yourself a favour and avoid buying from this website!

I have just had the saddest encounter on the weirdest chat. i have been chasing my refund for nearly 2 months now. You cannot get hold of anyone anywhere and when you do they just fob you off with random information and dates that make no sense. All i have asked for today is proof that they have sent my refund as they say they have, on the date it was actioned, they are saying i have to contact my bank for a charge back, so it now becomes someone elses responsibility! But without the refund detail i have nothing to go to my bank with and when i politely asked for more information i was told an email would whisk its way to me in 24 hours! oh and guess what there is no email! i've been told the same thing about 10 times now, oh and also to the response from my last review below, you are not openly happy to follow this up with me at all! its all just lip service! i was then told that they have said everything there is to say and cant help me any further and cut me off the chat! customer service at its best! i wasn't rude at all, i was just asking for help and information, im not even mad im just sad that its taken this much time and energy to try and get back what's mine, and im yet to receive it.
i originally ordered 2 items on 4th September to be told 12 days later that the order was on hold because the items had doubled in price and did i want to pay the extra or cancel the order, thankfully i didn't fall for the extra payment and i cancelled but i've never received a cancellation notice or refund, and here we are. stay vigilant people, check out reviews and spend your money wisely x

I had a very bad experience with Avenue Retail. I ordered a product which then took such a long time I contacted customer services. I initially got no response but when I said I would complain to the relevant body they did respond but very rudely. Anyway eventually my product arrived but it was quite different from the online photo and description (cream in colour, not white as in the photo and described). I immediately tried to return it but, after another period of me waiting for their response, they said I couldn’t because the product did match the online description. They then they took the product down from their site. From my research their response is in breach of Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which gives buyers a 14-day "cooling-off" period to return an item for any reason, starting from the day the goods are received. I’m so exhausted by Avenue I’m don’t now have the energy to follow up more. But of course I’ll never order from them again and hopefully my review helps others decide whether to order from this company themselves.
Further to their response below, I have now reported the company to Citizens Advice, who are the link with UK Trading Standards. Note I have an outstanding email Avenue that has not been answered for weeks (and which I sent before their response below and despite their claims that they did respond). Anyway this is now out of my hands and hopefully Trading Standards might instigate an investigation and I have all my evidence available.
