I wanted to leave a fair and balanced review of my experience with AutoChoice, particularly for anyone considering travelling a significant distance to purchase a car from them.

The buying experience itself was positive, and the staff were friendly. However, unfortunately there were issues with the vehicle from the outset. The spare key issue was known before the vehicle was released to me, and I reported the air-conditioning problem within 48 hours of collecting the car.

To be fair to AutoChoice, they have offered to inspect the vehicle and carry out any necessary repairs relating to the reported faults at no cost to me. They have also offered £20 towards fuel costs. My disappointment is with the practicalities of accessing that after-sales support when you don’t live locally.

I live in some distance away from AutoChoice, so returning the vehicle means a substantial round trip. I am self-employed and was asked to return the vehicle during the working week. Depending on whether the car can be inspected and repaired on the same day, this could potentially mean losing one or even two days’ income, as well as the travel and fuel costs involved in dropping the car off and collecting it again.

I asked whether the vehicle could be collected or whether they could authorise a reputable VAT-registered garage closer to me to inspect and repair it. After escalating my concerns to senior management, AutoChoice maintained that under the terms I signed, the vehicle must be returned to them in the first instance and that responsibility for getting it there rests with the customer.

I accept that these were the terms of the purchase and AutoChoice has not refused to look at or repair the car. My reason for writing this review is therefore not to suggest that they have refused to help, but to highlight something I wish I had appreciated more fully before buying from a dealership some distance from home.

If you’re considering travelling a significant distance to purchase a vehicle from AutoChoice, I would strongly recommend considering how you would manage returning the car to Blackburn during the working week if problems arise shortly after purchase. For someone who is self-employed, the potential loss of earnings can make what is described as a free repair considerably more costly in practice.

I’m disappointed that a more flexible solution couldn’t be reached, particularly given how quickly the problems were reported, but I wanted this review to reflect both my concerns and the fact that AutoChoice did offer to inspect and repair the vehicle.

Once the showroom polish had worn off, all of the scratches and damaged paintwork showed up. The alloy wheels were supposed to have been refurbished but a few weeks later, I noticed that the paint was already starting to peel. I reached out to the sales advisor on 10/07 but didn't get a response.

I went to look for a car yesterday and was really impressed by the help and advice I received. I was confident in the purchase and have picked my new car up tonight. Really impressed with Kieran and his knowledge. Thanks for all your help!

After seeing Auto Choice was highly rated by others, we chose them to source our son's first car. From initial contact, Che was very responsive and helpful in terms of finding the right car for our criteria. In person he was very friendly and took time to answer our questions and walk us through the process. He was patient on the test drive and let us have a thorough look so we felt we had a very fair chance to check out the car without feeling rushed. He also gave tips on securing cheaper insurance. We bought the car within 2 days of my first message. Would highly recommend.

I've just taken delivery of a car I purchased from AutoChoice. I went to look at it last weekend. Che, one if their sales guys was extremelly helpful. He'd already sent me a video and when I got there, he spent time showing me the car and its history. He offered to include an oil change in the prep. All in all I'm very pleased with my car, AutoChoice, and particularly Che. I'd happily recommened them.
