Last July I bought the brilliant Zempire EVO TM tent from Attwoolls. I also bought a number of accessories including a ground sheet. A year later in a camp site in Sussex, following a considerable downpour I realised that I had been sent the wrong ground sheet.

On my return I contacted Attwoolls and without pointing out that it had been over a year since my order, or that I should have checked it first, or that they couldn't replace a used groundsheet; they sent me a free replacement with next day delivery.

For me that says it all.

After speaking to 7 Cadac suppliers and all promising to contact me when a Cadac Carri Chef 2 BBQ grid came into stock Attwools (Heather Attwool) was the only one who could be bothered to reply, I ordered it and it was delivered within 48 hrs. That’s what I call customer service.

Great shop with lots of products and good prices. I had an issue with missing parts on a recent purchase and emailed Attwoolls (after the manufacturer said they could not supply the parts). Attwoolls posted the parts to me, no bother.

Improvements I would like to see is a greater range of mid size tents as well as a test/demo area (maybe outside).

I telephoned and spoke to Hannah about never done camping, but interested in air tent my goodness she was so full of knowledge and we were impressed that we asked for the Kampa dometic hayling 2020 6berth to be put aside so we trolled from Sutton coldfield to visit the store few days later .
We were greeted by Guy feeling nervous of stepping into the unknown about camping , he was incredibly thank goodness put us at ease showed the tent and my husband had a go of using the pump. Have to say from both of these professionals people glad to say we purchased and off on holiday to try out the tent !! nothing phased Guy to help us out with air bed etc well done 👏and thank you for not wasting our time but most of all listening to what we were looking for excellent.

Bought 2 Zempire Moonbase chairs. Wow. Arrived after only 2 days! So comfortable. So much better than the Vango chair, which broke after one use (still waiting for reply from them) I had from Gooutdoors monopolies. Going to buy all our camping and outdoor gear from Attwoolls or some of the other smaller sites. Ps @Attwoolls do you offer a bluelight or Defence discount?

Preordered a vango somerton package and paid deposit. Received a voicemail to say the tent had arrived and could I call to pay the balance and arrange delivery. Didn’t pick up the voicemail for a couple of days so there was a slight delay in me paying the balance. Called to pay balance and arrange delivery, to then be told that there was a mix up and the manufacturer hadn’t actually delivered the amount of tents they had ordered. I questioned if they had in fact sold my preordered, deposit-paid-reserved tent to someone else, but they wouldn’t own up to this. Offered me an ex-display tent for £50 less - not good enough, no thanks. I then receive another voicemail roughly 6 weeks later saying they have a tent footprint with my name on it, do I still want it? No! I don’t want a footprint for a tent that I don’t have! Went to Norwich camping and ordered something else. Very disappointing service from attwools, won’t bother using them again.

I ordered a tent in Feb and paid a deposit at the time for an Outwell Airville 6SA 2021 tent. The tent arrived in stock at the beginning of April and after having to chase up the order I paid the balance on the 15th April. After not receiving any notification of delivery I phoned up on the 23rd April to see what was happening. It seemed clear that no arrangements had been made for delivery. I was then told to expect it on a one day delivery on Tuesday 27th April. This never materialised. I then phoned again on the 29th to chase it up to be told that the order had been delivered - it had not. The customer services rep I spoke to then said it was with the courier and they would get it out to me on Friday 30th. This did not happen. I then phoned again on the 30th to indicate that nothing had arrived to be told that it would arrive today. I still haven't received it. I have now requested a full refund of £1399.99 so that I can go somewhere else before the summer. I now have no tent and will have to source one to cover our upcoming camping trips. I really did not think buying a tent would be so painful. Not sure whose fault it is but I shouldn't have to be chasing up a purchase/delivery constantly, especially after spending over a £1000 two weeks ago. I personally try not to use the well-known large e-commerce retailer and go independent but you just don't get this kind of hassle with them.

Put on the waiting list in Nov 2020 to pre order a package of tent/carpet/footprint. When asked, paid the deposit and waited. Then said they had it, paid in full and waited a bit more. Tent and carpet arrived, but they couldn't supply the footprint for a couple of weeks. OK... These things happen. Chased them up after 2 weeks, then they said it'll be a bit longer. Chased up again, then they said they couldn't supply it until June..... Seriously?? They said we could have a refund... Arranged that. Checked with credit card.... £20.... We did manage to purchase one elsewhere, but this cost us £50. Accept that the package is a more attractive option when you're going to buy all three, but felt that was a bit of an insult. When I pointed this out, the feedback was basically, tough. The manufacturer increased the price. Not our problem though. We paid in full and did not get the full package. Won't be using them again. And if you buy a package, make sure you get the whole package, not two thirds of it.

Ordered a self inflating mattress over the weekend, Firstly it was the best price I could find anywhere for the brand and size we wanted so that was a bonus, secondly it said 3 to 5 working days delivery, baring in mind I ordered on a weekend so expected it maybe by the following Friday, when infact it arrived 2 days after ordering first thing Tuesday morning. Very impressed and pleased. Will definitely use this store again to purchase our camping gear. Highly recommended can't wait to put it to the test.

After stressing on several occasions how important the delivery date was been let down, really disappointed! To be honest attwoolls despatched with 1 day to spare - but had the order for nearly 4 weeks. Arrived 3 days late but I have to say - great quality when it arrived!

We were looking for a motorhome awning.Guy was very friendly,helpful and knowledgable on the phone and again on a visit to the store.He measured up motorhome and advised of our options.First class service.

Very poor refund policy. In the middle of a global pandemic, only 7 days for a refund?? Only thing notifying of the 7 day policy is a postcard sized sign tucked under the COVID screen. Nothing on receipt and nothing mentioned by till staff. Will not be using again. Shocking in this day and age

Mike at Attwoolls was nothing short of superb, I put emails out to a few companies asking for help and advice on an awning for my new motorhome, they all said "see website", not Mike is was so helpful and took the time I then drove over 2 hours to see him, he measured up and together we selected what i needed. the best customer service ever and even after I bought everything and realised a need a few other bits the excellent customer service continues. I will not go anywhere else now.

Would of given 5 stars if I wasn’t for my first phone call asking afew questions & needing advise. The man I spoke to answered every question with ‘look on the website’ & appeared to be to busy to speak to me. Rang again a few days later & the person I then spoke to was great, she was very helpful, informative & had time to deal with me.
Otherwise, very fast delivery & happy with service provided. Would use again.

I ordered a package deal from Attwoolls after I was let down by another company. The service we have had from Attwoolls has been great. Ordered a Vango package deal on Tuesday night and had it delivered today as promised. Keep up the great work and service.

Bought our Kampa 330 Drive away from Attwools a few weeks ago and their after sales advice from Mike was absolutely fantastic. Cant thank the whole team enough. Great customer service guys

As well as ordering a few times from Attwoolls in the past, I've also used your more household named camping retailers, and none are a patch on Attwoolls when it comes to reliability, prompt despatching and value for money.
It's the only camping retailer I would ever use in the future or recommend.

Bought a Kampa motorhome awning from them recently. Really shabby experience. Chose Attwoolls mainly because of their helpful videos. Knew what I needed, which included a little advice about useful add-ons. But the experience of ordering by phone was at best patchy. Worse was to follow. No email confirmation, a garbled voicemail message but for Mr Lewis (I'm a Wilson), eventually sorted out after multiple calls. The order arrived on time, but the bracing poles are wrong (Kampa's fault, not theirs), one of the accessories is useless (inner tent), and the attached invoice has multiple errors. Have emailed - no reply, not even an acknowledgment. Now trying to phone, but cannot get through.
So I guess this review is written in frustration, but all the details are true and fair - and it really should not be this difficult.
