Amazing Villa
We had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa. It’s in a great location about a 10 minute walk from a beautiful beach with fabulous beach bar. The town itself is a bit further away - a 30min walk or 5 mins by car. There are also 2 fabulous restaurants within walking distance of the villa. The villa had everything we needed for our stay and we were really grateful for the little things like the ample supply of towels and starter pack of cleaning products. The villa was very spacious with lots of areas to hang out in and the pool was fab. Thank you to Olivia and the team for your great communication and support during our stay!

Vila Sol Vilamoura
While the booking process itself was straightforward and we appreciated the inclusion of airport pickup and return, the overall experience fell significantly short of expectations. Please find a summary of the issues encountered:
• Airport Pickup: Despite being offered airport transfers, the driver did not arrive until approximately 40 minutes after we had collected our luggage. I called your office twice during this time and was incorrectly told on both occasions that the driver was already present.
• Check-in Procedure: Check-in was not permitted until 4 PM, and we were not allowed to leave our luggage at the villa in the interim. This forced us to travel all the way to Albufeira and back. Charging guests for this inconvenience is, in our view, unreasonable.
• Early Access Refused: We were traveling with a 9-month-old baby, as mentioned in prior email correspondence. Denying early access—without offering any alternative, even for an additional fee—was extremely disappointing and lacking in basic hospitality.
• Misleading Advertisements: The villa does not resemble the images advertised online. The discrepancy between the actual condition of the property and the promotional images constitutes false advertising.
• Poor Condition of Villa:
o We vacated the property within 1.5 hours due to its unacceptable condition and secured alternative accommodation.
o Dirty cloths were found in two rooms.
o A bathmat was carelessly left on the bathroom floor.
o Severely damaged kitchen units
o Sign stating “do not put toilet paper down the toilet as it will block”, putting sanitary toilet paper in a bin is very unhygienic.
o The general state of the interior was poor and not as represented online.
o A dehumidifier was running on the ground floor, indicating possible damp issues—highly concerning given the presence of an infant.
• Lack of Support: Throughout this experience, it was extremely difficult to get in touch with your team. Calls went unanswered, and no assistance or alternatives were offered.
• Ongoing External Work: While we understand that construction work may be outside your control, you failed to inform us about this in advance. This is especially concerning given our prior notice about traveling with a baby and our desire for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, and we regret that you found the villa unsuitable for your family due to the situations mentioned.
Regarding the airport pick-up, we would like to clarify that according to our records, your flight landed at 09:45 and our driver was at the airport at that same time to welcome you. We apologize if there was any miscommunication or delay in locating the driver upon arrival.
As for the check-in procedure, we kindly remind you that, as clearly stated at the time of booking, check-in is scheduled from 4:00 PM. This timing is necessary to ensure each property is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests. We understand that this may have been inconvenient, particularly when traveling with a young child, but access was not refused, it was simply in line with the standard policy.
We are also sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the condition of the villa. However, we regret that you chose to vacate the property within such a short time after arrival without giving our team the opportunity to assess or address the concerns raised. Had we been given the chance, we would have done our utmost to resolve any issues on site and ensure your comfort.
With regard to the construction work in the surrounding area, we understand that this may have caused some inconvenience. Please note that such external factors are unfortunately beyond our control.
Once again, we sincerely regret that we were unable to provide you with the experience you were hoping for. We value your feedback as it helps us continue to improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

Fantastic villa
Fantastic villa, booked via VRBO but then passed to Algarve Vacations to deal with ,Villa Casa Das Dunas, Algarve. They were fantastic to deal with, villa was a little tired in the odd place but it added to the charm. The location was absolutely stunning, it was huge, it was certainly large enough for our group, we absolutely loved it.
Olivia Grimes was just amazing ,so much so we have just come back and booked another villa with them for our group for next year.

BE CAUTIOUS FOR ALLEGED DAMAGE
We want to warn future travelers about our experience with Algarve Vacation. After an otherwise pleasant stay at Villa Laura in Albufeira, we were confronted with a damage claim for a glass door that we did not use during our time at the property. The door in question was locked for the entire duration of our stay. After expert evaluation based on the photos, the crack in the glass appears to be a so-called edge crack, which is highly unlikely to be caused by human interaction. These types of cracks typically result from internal stress, temperature changes, or flaws in the glass itself.
Despite our explanation and the fact that we are fully insured through travel and liability insurance (so it is not in our interest to withhold any damage), €560,88 was withheld from our credit card deposit without further discussion. At no point we were given the opportunity to dispute these claims before the deposit was withheld.
Communication was difficult, as the company was only reachable via email, and responses were often delayed. It took almost 2 months before we received a quote or invoice and timestamped photos related to the alleged damage. Even now, not all of our questions have been answered.
We also encourage others to read the reviews on Trustpilot: 29% of them are negative, and many describe similar experiences involving damage claims after checkout.
We find this an unreasonable and unfair practice, and we feel that costs were wrongly charged to us. Unfortunately, this has significantly impacted our overall holiday experience. We advise others booking through Algarve Vacation to be extremely cautious and to thoroughly document the condition of the property both at check-in and check-out.

However, we would like to clarify that all our properties are carefully inspected both before guests' arrival and after their departure. This standard procedure is in place precisely to ensure that the condition of the property is documented and to identify any damages that may occur during a stay. In this case, the damage was reported by the property owner and supported by photographic evidence.
We understand that this may be upsetting, especially when you believe you were not responsible for the damage. We also emphasize that the deposit was held in accordance with the rental terms.
We are sorry if you found communication to be delayed. Our team does its best to respond as promptly as possible, especially during busy periods. That said, your feedback has been noted, and we are reviewing this internally to see how we can improve both our communication process and the clarity of our deposit handling procedures.

Wow - Unbelievable Villa
What an amazing villa!! We went as a group of 8 lads and all had the greatest experience in Albufeira, mainly due to the villa we stayed in. Really ideal location, brilliant modern layout and facilities. The service provided by the agency was quality as well, very welcoming and friendly. Overall, it was the best holiday we’ve had and we will definitely be looking to book this every time we come to Albufeira.

We stayed in Villa Borocay. It was a lovely villa, but it was infested with ants. We reported this to Algarve Vacation and they said they would send someone out; they didn’t. They just told us to buy products from the supermarket, which we did, but couldn’t put it everywhere as we had a crawling baby. 2 days after returning from our holiday we were told we had caused damage to the property and wouldn’t be returning our security deposit, but they wouldn’t tell us what damage we had caused. 9 days after we returned they sent us photos of damaged towels and an invoice. They hadn’t even washed them!! They did not provide a bathmat for the bathroom so we used a towel, which got dirty and covered in dead ants. This is not our fault. They have returned some of the security deposit, but not all.

Regarding the towels, as you may understand, the items in question were extensively damaged and remained unusable even after washing. For hygiene and quality reasons, we cannot reuse towels in such condition for future guests. The photos provided show the extent of the damage, which is why a portion of the security deposit was retained, in line with our policy.

Great accomodation! A must visit
The accomodation was just as described, beautiful place in a great location. We had an amazing time and had the ongoing support from the algarve team who kept in touch through WhatsApp from start to finish.
