I could have done better & more ‘circus’ tricks in my wheelchair! Absolutely shocking, considering the amount we paid & the promo/adverts for it in advance Very poor & yet they’ve announced more... Se mere

Absolutely dreadful .
Absolutely dreadful .
We went to see it in Manchester just before Christmas and it was like watching a school play, but even worse .
Absolutely nothing like advertised.
We left after the interval.
Avoid!!!
Dreadful. Not as advertised and totally let down. Inappropriate, ameteur and disappointing 2 days before Christmas. Rip off for the amount of money when my local theatre did a better job at a fraction of the price. Scam artists.
SHAMBLES!!!!!
Shocking!!! Saying it was an Amateur performance would give them credit. This company are nothing better than a high school musical. Scammed out of money for their ‘Cirque Spectacular” Shambles.
Beware.!!!!
Wizard of rubbish
Went to see the production of wizard of oz have to say its was one of the worse shows I’ve ever seen in my life. They certainly have a good marketing team who sold it as a top class show with high class prices but in reality a primary school production would have far superior.
Absolutely amateurish production…
Absolutely amateurish production company presenting family shows appealing to the masses with fake advertising, at rip off prices. We paid £230 for 4 tickets to see Wicked wizard of Oz in Leeds and my local panto could have put a better production on for a fraction of the price. Save your money as you won't get a refund either.
Shambolic from start to finish
Shambolic from start to finish, misleading (lies) advertising, poor staging, lighting, staging. Completely amateurish and should be ashamed of themselves for taking money from hard working families. Ticket agents and venues should be more aware before allowing anything like this to ever be produced and taken to the stage. A complete con.
Dont bother
Went to see the Wicked Wizard of Oz at the AO Arena in Manchester in December 2025
We are regularly theatre and concert go oers and have never walked out before but this was shocking beyond belief
Families were walking out before the interval with masses going at interval.
We gave it the benefit of doubt and stayed for 2ndd half but after enduring 10 minutes walked out
False advertising, show not like social media page videos, racist jokes and sexual innuendo - not suitable for a "panto" audience, acrobatics amateur, poor sound and video was hit and miss.
Would not recommend at all, waste of money and spoilt a pre Xmas outing.
The production company need do the right thing and hold their hands up and apologise and refund the 1000s who are trying to claim
Feeling scammed
Appalling, we saw the wicked wizard of oz show in Birmingham in Dec backed by worlds biggest productions. I paid £185 for 3 tickets to walk out half way through. Completely misrepresented in its advertising, misleading promos with the way it was worded. Bottom line if they had shown realistic footage of what to expect there is absolutely no way I would have purchased the tickets. This was by far an underwhelming and offensive performance that was a complete waste of money. I would definitely avoid going to see anything by worlds biggest productions and has made me cautious to check out reviews of others before booking.
Appalling
Appalling. Unprofessional and totally unwilling to even acknowledge their mistakes. Poor sets, poor quality show, poor quality equipment, poor quality costumes. Totally inappropriate for children. Even had racist jokes! Awful experience. Please don't book productions by this company.
Wolds Biggest Rip-Off
This company is a disgrace. After paying £300 for a "premium" family experience in Hull, I was met with a low-budget, technical disaster that bore no resemblance to the "professional cirque" show advertised.
The "Bait and Switch" is Real:
Marketing promised "breathtaking aerial stunts" and a "broomstick-flying witch." Instead, we saw a performer strapped to a bike on top of a golf buggy driven around the floor. The production was amateur, inappropriate (featuring a vulgar "cucumber" sketch and political rants unsuitable for my 6 and 9-year-olds), and technically broken with constant microphone and screen failures.
Zero Accountability – The "Generic" Brush-off:
When I raised a formal complaint, the company’s response was an insult to my intelligence. Instead of addressing the specific issues I raised—including the missing merchandise and video links I paid for—they sent a generic, blanket email that appears to have been blasted to thousands of other unhappy customers.
This response failed to identify any of my personal issues, instead "smashing" the complaints of thousands into a single, dismissive statement claiming the show was "subjective." There is nothing subjective about missing goods and technical failure. They are hiding behind a script to avoid processing the thousands of refunds they clearly owe.
The "Willy Wonka 2.0":
There is a reason over 1,200 people have joined the Facebook group "The Woeful Wicked Wizard of Oz - A Not-So Cirque Spectacular." This is a systemic failure by a company that takes premium prices for "Temu-quality" entertainment.
If you see the name World's Biggest Productions, run. They are not interested in customer service; they are only interested in your money.
What a waste of money 240 pound spent…
What a waste of money 240 pound spent what I describe very poor production of wizard of oz poor acting very poor set-up very poor a all round it was a sheer disaster, I've seen better pantos on the the streets of Leeds on a Saturday night and they come free off charge lol 😆
We heard all the terrible reviews…
We heard all the terrible reviews before we went to see wicked wizard of oz at Leeds, so we expected it to be bad but it exceeded our expectations. Horrible sound, clumsy acrobats and nothing like the ad we watched to sell the show. Expensive night out. If you’re thinking of booking tickets, don’t bother. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.
Had the misfortune of witnessing the…
Had the misfortune of witnessing the shit show (Wicked Wizard of Oz - A Cirque Spectacular) at the Hydro, Glasgow. They totally mis-sold the event by over hyping everything and not delivering. Ive seen better high school productions. Now Im in the process of trying to get a refund, as are many others.
AVOID anything done by this company in this name or any of the other names they use (check companies house for details).
If I could give 0 stars I would.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
It was one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen.
The show was nothing like advertised.
We left before the end of the show.
Terrible show. Don't waste your money
I went to see the 'Wicked Wizard Oz - A Cirque Spectacular' at Brighton, and I myself, mum and friend were all so disappointed.
It got off to a bad start with technical difficulties, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, as these things happen, and was still looking forward to the rest of the show.
However, it was nothing like it was advertised.
They promised 'cirque', but in reality the performers seemed like junior gymnasts, who repeatedly stumbled and needed a member of the cast to repeatedly catch them on their dismounts.
The trailer for the show made it look phenomenal, which included the witch flying overhead. In reality, she was on a bike strapped to a golf buggy, and driving around Infront of the stage. No effort was even made to cover the golf buggy to blend it with the show. It was literally a man sat in front driving a bicycle around.
The lion was for some reason a mute tiger.
There were racist jokes in the show, which were completely inappropriate.
There was also the scene where the scarecrow put a cucumber through what can only be described as a 'glory hole'. A scene that lasted way too long.
It was marketed as family friendly, but the content was not appropriate for children.
There were technical issues throughout, with microphones not working on several occasions when the cast took to the stage, so the audience missed the beginning of several scenes.
There was a 10 minute pause after the first scene with no one on stage, and no one explaining what was happening.
I saw so many people grabbing their coats and leaving during the first half, which I have never witnessed during a show before.
Then more who decides to try the second half, seemingly gave up part way through that as well. There were so many empty seats by the time it finishes, it was unbelievable.
Within an hour of the show finishing, I googled it and came across a local newspaper article where they confirmed my views of the show, so it was clear it was a universal opinion of how awful it was.
Like many others, I have reached out to the company to voice my concerns, but have, after much delay, only received a generic response back from them.
If the show had cost £20, then what was delivered (racist and sexual jokes aside), would have been acceptable. However, with the high price of tickets, the delivery was extremely poor.
Wondering how the current trust pilot…
Wondering how the current trust pilot score is 1.6 when all reviews score them 1. If there was a zero score option I would rate them this as scoring 1 implies they are better than they are. Be warned never to watch a production by this company. They falsely advertise their show making it out to be much better than it actually is l, grossly overcharging and then try and claim otherwise. They show racist and sexual content totally inappropriate for children without any age warnings. They have no respect for their customers. Despite 1000s of complaints and requests for refunds they dismiss customers concerns as subjective. They shut down freedom of speech and any comments on social media about their show that aren’t positive. Instead of listening to genuine concerns and feedback they get defensive, try to shut customers genuine concerns and comments down and try to cover their tracks.
Fantastic performances on all 3 nights
I have seen all 3 shows that this company put on this year. Travelling to Manchester, Liverpool and even Cardiff . All 3 shows varied greatly in content as they were totally different shows. Each show gave great value for money and a very entertaining evening all all 3 evenings. Each year I choose 10 shows to see over Christmas and this year 3 of the shows I saw just so happened to be from this company.
Wizard of Oz, AO Manchester
False advertising, show not like social media page videos, racist jokes and sexual innuendo - not suitable for a "panto" audience, acrobatics amature, sound and video poor.
Would not recommend at all, waste of money and spoilt a pre Xmas outing.
Have a google for media coverage of peoples views, wasnt just Manchester that was bad with hundereds of walkouts.
Never been to a show where venue staff give out address for complaints as you leave either, reputation must proceed the show - shame i wasted hard earned money attending 😢
Also a shame the production company dont do the right thing and hold their hands up and apologise and refund.
Wicked of oz spectacular cirque was a complete waste of time and money which I feel was scammed out of me and many others
Really disappointed I have to give one star to be able to leave a review .. it really was unstar worthy.
I saw the advert for this show which was described as SPECTACULAR back in June 2025 .. the advertising which I now know to my cost was completely false .. it was deemed to be a performance with highly professional acrobats amongst other cirque acts ... nothing more than amateurish young teenagers putting on a gymnastic show in a school performance .. indeed there was an adult man catching and preventing the girls on a trampoline from falling over they were so unpolished and a long way from professional cirque performers.
The witch was advertised as been an aerial performer on a bicycle flying above the stage when indeed the witch sat on a bicycle attached to a golf buggy .
The sound was poor at times and the plot hard to follow .. however unfortunately it was only to easy to follow the inappropriate racial comments and the sexual innuendos were very explicit in a nature that was totally inappropriate for children .. my granddaughter who's 10 had being so excited for all the wonderful exciting thrills and spills of what was advertised and left very upset and disappointed.
I paid nearly £200 for what I thought would be a very special treat instead of our usual trip to our local pantomime.. I will never again attend anything by this company who are taking no responsibility from what must be hundreds of people with the same complaints and have sent me and the others a generic response which doesn't answer my points but just says my opinion is subjective ... I for one will not let this drop as my hard earned money is not falling into the hands of scammers like this company.
Fiasco
What a fiasco, certainly not what we expected from the promotion...family entertainment it was not.
Microphones failing, poor acrobatics, crude scenes that wouldn't pass the watershed on tv yet this was an afternoon show.
£300 wasted on what should have been a lovely lead up to Christmas.
Lesson learnt big time
