Helpful and what I wanted

I am always conscious when buying electronics from sites that I don't know and this one in particular had me a little concerned as once I had ordered it looked to be coming from China.

Whilst the tracking showed the item I was a little concerned when it didn't move. Whilst I didn't contact their official email address or site, their Discord support chat was amazing and would recommend this as the channel to go through.

Let’s See If It Arrives

I placed an order WG_36146 with WhatGeek on March 12, 2025, for $327.22. For over 10 days, I received no shipping update, no tracking, and no response—despite reaching out through email, Discord, and their website.

Only after multiple messages and visible complaints did I finally get a tracking number—now, supposedly, the package is en route. I’ll update this review once I actually receive it.

For now, I can’t recommend this store based on the lack of communication and support. If everything arrives in good shape, I’ll be fair and revise this. But for a $300+ order? This has been way too sketchy.

Best experiece for shopping

Best experiece for shopping, I now have dream keyboard on best price . I ordered with shipping to Europe was free shipping all taxes paid by seller. I just colect my keyboard in post office. I'm so happy 1 week and few days receive order very fast!!! keyboard packed very well. recomend legit shop.On aliexpress my keyboard with shipping was +30Eur more.

Deceives customers by pretending to be UK based

UK subdomain and Free UK shipping but paid shipping for the rest of the world, as a customer that tells me this is at least a UK based warehouse where shipping will be fast.

This is wrong however, orders are sent from China. This deception was the only reason I chose this seller instead of buying the item from AliExpress for the same price.

Ironically AliExpress would have been faster shipping since the item was under the Choice 7 day delivery program but it took 15 days from payment to delivery for my order with Whatgeek.

I will still give 3 stars as my order did arrive and there are no issues with the product. It is unlikely I will order from here again knowing that it is designed to deceive customers about it's real location when I can order from other places that are honest about that.

Another appalling company and experience

Ordering experience was fine; product ordered, shipping notification etc. A longer than expected wait but will tolerate that. UK site but shipped out of China (don’t believe any replies about multiple warehouses - it’s coming from China). But then it all goes wrong. Delivery supposedly complete, but no sign of order. Whatgeek response “tracking is delivered” yes but where is the proof of delivery? No answer. So, Amazon Shipping where is my order? After investigating your delivery, due to device issues it appears our driver was not able to record their location at time of delivery and as a result, we're unable to confirm where they delivered to. And supposedly at 22:34pm at times too. Amazon paying well or working them hard to be delivering so late at night. Whatgeek now ghosting, no refund, no product, will now be disputing with card provider to get my money back. Up to you to gamble with ordering with this company, but I won’t be again.

Beware of Anbernics and Customer service…

Purchased an Anbernic RG35XX plus and at first it was great! A little fiddly when it came to navigating the UI and settings of some of the emulators, but otherwise fine. After a month or so a red line started to appear on the screen.

I contacted Whatgeek and was initially offered a partial refund. I didn’t opt for this option as I’m not going to take a small amount and purchase yet another potentially defective product from them again. So I asked for an exchange.

In response to this request I was told that I need to share videos of the console not working. Which I promptly sent.

My next message from them was an email advising me that I’d need to take it apart and reconnect the screen ribbon to see if this resolves the issue. No guidance on how. No instructions or warnings for how to avoid further damaging it.

Just really passive and unhelpful service.

Update from my initial 5 star review: great product at a great price and received well packaged and was very good informed by delivery tracking. But unfortunately this product came with a Xbox ultimate game pass that was already redeemed??? I was looking forward to 1 month ultimate pass to save me money but this is very dishonest frankly. I won’t be using this shop in the future now.

Best Price

I bought RG556 from them with a very good price. They shipped it a day after my order and provide with a tracking number. I think it took only one week to arrive in perfect condition. Thank you so much.

Read clearly

Read their terms clearly before ordering. They cannot gauge the quality of their products. I purchased a Monka A75 and it had a dead switch and ended up fixing it myself. I was disappointed at first and attempted to dispute, but decided the overall quality of the build was good. They did attempt to offer new switches (not of the same type or tactile) but appreciate the gesture. Overall a solid 3.5 to 4.0 service. Just read and know what you’re getting into.
