I purchased an Anbernic RG477V, packing and delivery was quick. The Anbernic is amazing, so easy to put games on our the box not had any issues. Couldn't fault UK WhatGeek. Buy the thing you're looking at. Do it. Afterall the world could end tomorrow... Enjoy it now.

This company is extremely sketchy. They didn’t allow me a full refund within 14 days until I brought up the UK consumer rights act. But after sending the item back, they stopped responding to me. Make sure you purchase it with a credit card so you can dispute the transaction.

God help you if you need to return the item. I used this company as I wanted to stop using Amazon. mistake. They received my return a month ago and I am still being fobbed off. I am going to have to contact my bank about it. Its taken up a lot of my time that I dont have so im upset and want to tell everyone what a scammer this person is.

It arrived really quickly. Packaging was good. Everything as described. Saved me the import tax by ordering from a place that had them in stock in the UK.
UPDATE: [48 HOURS LATER] - THEIR PUBLIC REPLY IS A COMPLETE FAKE PR STUNT!
Do not let their polite reply below fool you. They publicly stated: "I have personally escalated your case... they will be in touch with you by the end of the day today." It has now been more than 48 hours since they posted that reply, and I have received ZERO emails, ZERO contact, and ZERO refunds. Their response is nothing but a cheap Public Relations stunt designed to make them look like a responsible company to anyone reading these reviews. Behind the scenes, the reality is exactly the same: absolute silence and endless stalling.
They haven't "escalated" anything, and they certainly haven't processed my $25 SWIFT refund. They are lying in their private support emails, and now they are openly lying in their public Trustpilot replies.
I will keep updating this review to expose their tactics until my money is actually in my bank account. Do your research and avoid this company.
If you are thinking about buying from WhatGeek, pray that your item doesn't arrive defective. If it does, be prepared for a 2-month long nightmare of fake promises and delay tactics.
I received a defective Anbernic controller with a mechanically broken RB button. I contacted their support with video proof on January 12, 2026. First, they insultingly offered to send me "spare parts" so I could repair a brand-new, under-warranty device myself. I refused.
They finally agreed to a $25 compensation refund. Because my original virtual credit card had been permanently closed, my bank instructed me to receive the refund via direct bank transfer (SWIFT). I provided my IBAN on February 1st.
What followed was weeks of blatant lies. They told me they were "urgently verifying," then they blamed the "Chinese New Year holidays," and on February 27th, they literally emailed me: "We guarantee your $25 refund will be processed by next week at the latest." They never sent a single cent.
After stringing me along for nearly two months, they suddenly backtracked and offered to send me a "free" mechanical keyboard instead of my money. I had explicitly warned them—FOUR times—that due to new, extremely strict customs laws in my country (Turkey), receiving ANY physical package from abroad now requires hiring a customs broker and paying hundreds of dollars in import fees. Their "free compensation" would literally cost me a fortune to clear from customs.
They completely ignored my geographical restrictions. It is obvious they just want to avoid paying the international SWIFT transfer fee for the $25 they owe me, so they use bot-like customer service replies to stall until you simply give up.
Do not trust their warranty. Do not trust their refund promises. They are highly unprofessional and will waste your time. Avoid this store at all costs.

I was genuinely impressed with how responsive and willing to help, alongside how reliable their delivery services have been, they're a force to be reckoned with.
UK buyer. I was a little bit worried given the reviews but I received excellent service. My order, an Aoostar AG02, was delivered next day and the price was way better than anywhere else.
Delivery was fast enough, and the product was well sealed.
I bought an Anbernic R406V and so far, so good. Have only used it 2-3 times but I've managed to get video games from various platforms with no problem at all. PS2 games run good, but I've not experienced much
So I bought egpu for a great price for my legion go2 but unfortunately couldn't get it work no matter what not sure if the device was faulty or legion just didnt accept it anyway the price and shipping was top knot but obviously I need to return the item as its not working so the emailing hours total random like 3 am uk time what the hell and email back around 6 am and get nothing till next day. So starting the sending the item back Monday and by Friday I finally get the return address. And now we coming till today 15th Feb I've sent rhem email with tracking and getting email back saying they are shut for the whole week because of some random holiday so that means took a week to get details to return and now need to wait 1 more week before they even look at the thing and then it takes 7-10 days to process a refund what a joke place literally pay 20 quid more form proper buyer like overclockers. What a joke

I was a little surprised to see bad reviews talking about poor customer service because that is the complete opposite from my own experience.
My order came through very quickly and way ahead of schedule which I was delighted with. However an item has been left off my order, which was disappointing. I contacted customer service to inform them of the oversight. Their responses were quick, professional and to the point. They quickly took responsibility for the oversight got the remainder of the order shipped out asap. I was very impressed with how well they dealt with the situation. I believe a company can only truly be judged when things go wrong and this was a perfect example of showing good customer service and making me feel valued. I would definitely order from these guys again.
Worked really well for me. The product was pre order and arrived when predicted. There were really helpful via email in the meantime
So called 30 day no fuss returns non existent, have emailed them, and messaged through website, so far awaiting a reply. Next stop PayPal claim. Received 5 of these, the product was DOA, STALLING STALLING STALLING, prob worst company I’ve EVER dealt with, how do you video a dead keyboard

Bought a handheld gaming console before Christmas. Delivery never arrived.
Courier had stolen it, delivered though Evri. I sent through multiple emails with evidence from Evri customer service. I explained the problems UK buyers were having with Evri, and they were thankful for the information.
From there I had LONG conversations with WhatGeek, who's customer service are based in China. Their English is excellent, and they initially promised me a refund after believing me and the evidence that I provided.
From there on, it got fairly muddy. The full refund changed to various offers of partial refunds made depending on the outcome of and investigation on their part. This was not great.
After a bad review here and four weeks of back and forth, they delivered pretty quick on a refund.
So to their credit- the original delivery would would have got to me quickly if the parcel wasn't stolen, and they would've got a standard five stars from me. Their emails were also very apologetic for the service and they did seem genuine on that.
It's just became a battle for the refund. I think WhatGeek are a sincere company, but they need to make improvements regarding refunds , as people from the UK expect a certain standard here- no-fuss, and a quick return of funds.

My parcel never arrived. When I contacted the company, they said they would contact the courier (Evri) and advised me to do the same. I contacted Evri and received an email confirming that the parcel was lost, which I forwarded to the company expecting this to initiate a full refund. However, instead of receiving a refund, I have only received what appear to be automated responses. I am still waiting for a refund for the Retro Game Console and its been 2 weeks. Now it is time to open a case via paypal.

Quick delivery and great service. Plenty of updates through transit and I was able to get what I wanted at a reasonable price and quickly.
I ordered an alice80 kit from WHATGEEK August 25th. It got here (Indiana) September 3. Shipments do come from China, so this was a fantastic speed. Customer service was great. They updated me with tracking when I asked in perfect English. Unfortunately, I was shipped a wired only version of the alice80 and it is advertised as 2.4ghz/Bluetooth on the website. I brought this up to customer service, and they offered to send me a wireless version at no cost to me, keeping the old keyboard as well. I was blow away by the level of commitment to the customer. It is not a huge deal to me, and I already have my switches in and lubed and the keycaps I want, so I declined. They offered me a partial refund. I would definitely do business with WHATGEEK again. It is rare to find businesses who are on your side.
