Materials was what I had expected, but they give you the option of a 2 day express order without knowing if they have the item in stock or if that's possible. I had to postpone my job and rearrange with the client. They offered me a refund for the additional PP charges but never refunded me. If I ordered again I wouldn't bother with the 2 day express delivery.

They delivered a week after placing an order. They don't answer phones calls either saying busy or doing stock check.

Great products and prices , delivery times woeful. Twice I have ordered on four day delivery. Twice items have only been dispatched in the fourth day.
Order with plenty of notice if you can, customer service when I’ve complained not up to much either.

Made an order with the company. Had an email a few days later saying that the item was now discontinued so they wouldn’t be able to fulfil the order. They gave me another option for an alternative product, which I agreed to.
They then sent an invoice asking for more money and that included paying for shipping again.
When prompted as to whether the invoice was correct, the reply was essentially yes.

Their customer service seems very poor, to the point that I am certain that there is no human interaction with the customer. I cancelled the order, to which I have still not received the refund.

I would not recommend.

I bought an item back in late 2024 which became faulty late 2025 still within warranty as it came with 3 years. I raised the issue on the 21/1/25 and communication from the company has been poor. I have had two emails back saying that they are waiting for the manufacturer to get back to them but I have myself contacted the manufacturer who have said they have reached out to westbasedirect to try and help get the matter resolved and have heard nothing back from them. As of today I am still waiting on a resolution and have been without lights in the main bedroom now for nearly 1 month.

Really poor customer service. Would not recommend buying from this company as they were very awkward to deal with when I accidentally needed to add one more item to my order. Charged me an extortionate amount of postage for one light switch which I missed off the first order. Refused to refund the postage after they told me they would send the extra switch with my first order. Told me they can’t just refund postage which is ridiculous. Then when I received the first order suddenly they were able to cancel the second order and refunded me. I then told them I wanted to return the first order and take my business else where due to such poor service but I shouldn’t have to pay the postage for the return and they refused to pay for the return as well. Will never purchase from them again. I have dealt with so many companies and this service was diabolical
