Avoid! Not what they once were.Beware of ridiculously long contract (misleading) with no cancellation option.

Weight Watchers UK is unrecognisable now from the WW of many years ago. The absolutely dreadful and impossible to use WW app is limited at best and they've continued to misrepresent my accurate weight loss with the correct number of reward tokens (yes, WW, 12 lb is very different from 12 KILOGRAMS!). When a customer service rep finally got in touch with me, the lady couldn't fathom that kilograms are different from pounds. Unbelievable. (Please note - social media is the ONLY way somebody will react because WW no longer offers a customer care email address - can you believe that?) If you've money to burn, might I suggest using it in your garden chimea or to get a bonfire started on Guy Fawkes night, but do not under any circumstances do what I did and fall for the glossy promotional spiel. And why wouldn't those unsuspecting models look happy? Your hard earned income is paying them to look delighted with a dysfunctional app and THE worst customer service I've ever encountered.

I signed up for 8 months. I hit target in July didn't realise they were still taking my money.Spoke to my leader she said had to speak to customer service. Rang a couple of times never got to speak to anyone.
I rang on Monay 12/8/24.
19 minutes didn't get to speak to anyone, rang again 48 mins still no one spoke to me.Absolutely horendous been with them since 2000 not sure if i want to stay, it's a scam they take your money from your bank like they have rights.Since when do GOLD MEMBERS PAY FOR THERE CLASS IF I REMEMBER YOU ONLY PAY FOR THE APP.I THATS NOT FARE.THEY ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY, IT WASN'T WHEN I FIRST STARTED EVEN THE LEADERS DONT GIVE YOU YOUR GIFTS FOR REACHING YOUR MILE STONE.I HAD TO ASK.AGAIN IT'S ALL ABOUT MONEY. REALLY NOT IMPRESSED.

Ceased payments with my bank after cancelled subscription not acknowledged online. WeightWatchers continue to contact my bank and insist on payments after official online cancellation. When I called to discuss this, on the customer services line which is charged, none of the numerical options when pressed we’re registered by my mobile phone, after several charged minutes I was cut off. Still being charged, unable to stop the charges and not able to speak to anyone. I’ve tried to log on to the website, but as my account is closed I cannot log on. There is no facility to raise a complaint with the company. I’m so saddened that a company can be so brutal.

I really like the system and the app. I'm here to review their business practices. I signed up for an 8 month commitment. I knew what I was doing, but it is very very confusing. I know someone else who was completely confused by the initial 'contract'. I decide to cancel my membership straight after signing up to make sure I did not accidentally roll over my commitment period. As someone with both an IT degree and an MBA I found it incredibly difficult to do. You can't do it on the website - it tells you to use the "Digital Cancelling App" - there really is no such animal and WW know it - it's sad and pathetic business ethics. You actually use the standard WW app to cancel but to put you off even more you have to enter your WW password twice! You are then required to give your reasons and then it offers an extension. Phew, what a journey. As I said, I love the app and the system, but this simple task has left me with a sour taste in my mouth - luckily the WW app tells me this is 0 points :-)

Been attending weight watchers meetings weekly last week attended the meeting and was told its closing I am in a 10 month deal and not workshop to attend contacted weight watchers to be referred to terms and conditions and the fact that the workshop is closing does not warrant me cancelling my membership I explained that due to work commitments I cannot attend any others and they arnt in my area they are not bothered I’ve emailed more than once and also advised them I will use the charge back scheme if they try to take anymore money it’s a poor show when they can’t cancel
Membership’s when they cancel the workshops it not our wonderful supportive weight watch leader at Farnworth it’s them they are con artists take your money and provide sod all and this is all not the fault of Sarah who we’ve have all bonded with and had great weight losses but no weight watchers still cancel the workshops without discussing with any of us this meeting has been going for over 20 years shove your online virtual meetings where the sun doesn’t shine weight watchers will get no more money off me as like I’ve told them they take any and i will use the charge back scheme through my bank

Very pleased with my weight loss with the support of our group coach Sarah who is fantastic and encouraging. However, extremely disappointed by the decision by the powers that be at WW to close our workshop. No consideration given to the loyal members & even less to Sarah who with any other decent employer would have grounds for unfair dismissal. No refunds offered to members who have signed up longer term. Yes read the T
& C' so but it's common curtesy to refund when something is faulty & WW you are the the one's at fault here. No workshops at all now in my area, you are a disgrace the way you're operating your business currently. I'm a great believer in Karma, I hope you get yours

What a waste of time, complete disappointment, full membership is a rip off, certain leaders were dull and uninspiring , don’t bother with WW, I would of giving them a negative number if I could

Paying for a service I don’t use. I get its in the T&Cs but if something doesn’t work for you it doesn’t work for you. You can see from other reviews you are just damaging your reputation in the end by making people pay month after month. I certainly do not recommend and would not retry.

This poor review is based on what I consider to be an unethical billing practice.
I signed up for 6 months at $20. I just realised today (after 12 after I signed up) that I have been paying $45 per months for the last 6 months. I understand that this auto-renew was in the conditions so this is not strictly speaking illegal. I also understand that the responsibility to read the fine print and check my bank statements is mine, but I just don't agree with this strategy - I think it is straight-out unethical. I interacted with the system maybe twice when I first signed-up. Since then I have not used this at all. I have made no demand on the company or company resources. We all have so many demands on our attention, I personally have had a hectic 6 months renovating and selling a house then moving, on top of full-time work and supporting family members which is why I wasn't on top of my bank statements. Now I'm down $270. This should be an active opt-in process to continue memberships at more than double-the-price, not a default one. Not cool.

Tried to join WW, had trouble with accepting payment. Went to a workshop hoping to join there as previously able to. Got to workshop to be told I have to join online. Tried again on phone at workshop. Still wouldn't accept payment. Called customer service. They said I had to enter details differently. Tried this. Entered card details 3 times when on phone to customer service. Didn't work. Crashed my Internet, phone froze. Couldn't do anything. I'm autistic spectrum and not technically minded. I gave up on WW, and went home. Wasted time going to workshop. WW not recommended unless you are a tech expert

So, I initially signed up and paid for 3 months with the online WW app, and I did well. At the end of those 3 months, they offered me an additional free month because of my progress, which I accepted. However, after that free month ended, I could still log into the app but couldn't use its features anymore. Understandable, but then 3 months later, I received a bill for those additional 3 months.

When I contacted them, they explained that after the free month, I had unknowingly signed up for another 3-month subscription. I argued that I thought the free month was a gift for doing well initially, not a continuation of service. They pointed out that I had agreed to this in the fine print and should have been aware. I was frustrated because I hadn't received any notifications about this change. And I couldn't even use the app for those 3 months?

In the end, despite my protests, WW insisted that I should have communicated my concerns earlier. Feeling frustrated and misled, I asked them to remove me and my credit card information from their system.

The positive aspect? The app makes you aware of just how many foods are for a weight loss journey. The negative? On 23 points I am so hungry and at this point in my life, I don't have the time or resources (it costs so much more to eat healthy!) to follow the plan. Also, just a reminder to folks.....read the cancellation policy. I am stuck paying til 5/2025 even though I am not using WW. I signed up ASSUMING I could cancel at anytime and that's my fault for not reading the fine print.

I've lost weight on WW and have no problems with their diet. HOWEVER, everything else, from app to customer service, is NOT user friendly. and no way to contact for help! Can't use the computer, either...gotta be on the app! which is difficult to navigate... a big annoying change is having to connect an electronic device, such as a Fitbit, to calculate exercise points. I don't have one! This used to be listed on the website. It is just getting so hard to deal with them. I joined this time on an impulse and then found all these new things that just don't work for me. However, it was a special at $11/mo and the barcode scanner is worth that to me But even that isn't always useful as the plan changes all the time so points don't always correlate with the plan I am used to.
I need more support getting back on track and WW isn't helping there. I will join Noom next time!

Cancelled memerbership on 31st May, checked my account today to see that another payment is going out. Phoned Customer Services, apparently I signed up to a 10 month plan (I had no idea I had done that, so very shady wording in the first place), they said I would have to pay until the plan was up. I told them I would be going straight to my bank to cancel this as the plan isn't working for me. I have tried something else which is working and am seeing great results. Do not trust this company and be careful of what you're siging up for because they will try and get out of anything to get your money!

Tried you join again as good offer . No matter what I tried I could not access the app . Just kept getting error message and account resets which didn't work. They no longer can be emailed so a month later I made time to call around work hours only to be offered the same magic link that never works. Reluctantly closed my account as did not want to pay for nothing! I then received the usual, sad to see you go email. I replied saying it wasn't my intention to close etc but had no other option. Low and behold an email reply saying they no longer accept email requests to close accounts !!! Utterly useless and really disappointing. What has happened to WW

BE CAREFUL
I signed up for the offer of £10 pm deal only had 10lb to loose after 2 wks wasn't working for me I tried to cancel and I was told I was locked in so have to keep paying until January 25 it is so difficult to cancel and when I spoke to a member of team they just told me I have to pay until Jan 25 BE CAREFUL BEFORE U SIGN UP

Money grabbing cowboys, i cancelled and they still took money from my account through paypal even though it was originally set up with my husbands account through my paypal with his permission, they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot when it comes to customer service, robbing gits they are a horrible company AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!

When I signed up at the beginning of 2024, I could use the online site and app but they moved all services to app only at the end of April. The app freezes all the time, doesn't give you the option of deleting items and basically crashes over anything. I've deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times but it doesn't get any better. Customer Services does that apology-non-apology thing that is so infuriating. I'm tied to them until September and then we part ways forever. Do yourself a favour - go ANYWHERE else. Or simply use their technique: eat lots of fruit, non-starchy veg, fat-free yoghurts, soya and lean protein. But avoid!
