Locked out of the app now for two weeks ! Even attempting to try on both my tablets and phone, was charged extra out my bank account ?? Useless at contacting them via phone, they pretend to send me email to tech dept , tried sending email yet it was returned saying no longer accepting?? Now blocked on my bank account and I shall use slimming world instead

The app used to be great but now it’s terrible. I only cook from scratch and spent months logging my recipes and meals into the app. But with the new version, when you search, it doesn’t search your own entries, just the public database. You have to go into a separate area to log your own food which is absurd. MyFitnessPal is way better for tracking and much easier!
Also, most people are creatures of habit. Once I’ve had a meal for lunch, and I’ve added in all my individual components, I’d like to be able to save that as a meal from the log entry, which you USED to be able to do. But not any more. Whoever has changed this app has done far more damage than good, and rendered it laborious to use whilst making other apps look far superior!

I was a coach/leader for WW for over 12 years. I loved working for them, and I loved the brand, the app and the plan. I was made redundant during the covid-19 epidemic, and part of my severance package included lifetime membership. I recently went to use my app and found that I was locked out, and when I contacted customer services I was told they have decided to retract this benefit. This is so incredibly disappointing

Today I realised I have been charged 21.00 pounds per month for over 5 years!
Nobody informed me about renewing my membership monthly or even yearly .. nobody contacted me to check how I was doing.. trying to get some refund now .. totally corrupted company! I hope they close them down soon! Getting legal advice soon !

I checked my bank account yesterday and discovered that weight watchers had been taking £13.95 from my account monthly since 2020 until yesterday, a total of £697.50. I cancelled in 2017 and seemed to have re-activated by mistake. I rang them and after speaking to virtual assistants, I eventually spoke to a real customer service assistant who was unhelpful and said it’s unlikely I would be refunded. I explained I have not used site or app since 2020 but they said they do not monitor. Case number 32605962. This site is a total scam and I never intend to use again!!

Now an awful company.

Double charged - one on PayPal once on credit card every month for several months.
Told by awful AI phone system that both will be cancelled. No offer of refund for the duplicate fee paid.
Then still one of the payments went out the next month. I had asked to cancel all duplicate accounts in my name and at my address. But clearly this has not been done.
So I tried email - how it used to be easy to cancel. Apparently they will no longer let you cancel by email - how convenient for them when the AI phone system does not work.
So now I need to ring again and try to ask AGAIN for it to be cancelled and hope it actually works.

This used to be such a fantastic company. It has just gone greedy and can no longer cares for customers and can no longer be trusted.

I think WW should provide a trial period prior to having to purchase a lengthy subscription. I’ve used WW previously with some success but the new program simply doesn’t work. The algorithm requires adjustment. After almost 2 months I’m a pound heavier than when I started, even though I don’t use the weekly points allowance or any of my activity points. I’m diligent in logging what I eat and drink. There’s just too much ‘free food’! E.g. I can eat 2 large baked potatoes a day without using any points. Surely after the ‘free’ points are used up on a food item the system should assign points to subsequent items.
The introduction of macros is useful and I’m now calorie counting and this has helped me to lose 1 pound in the last couple of days. I had 12 points left over from my allowance yesterday that I didn’t use in order to keep within a calorie count of less than 1300. Should add that I’m very active and get at least an extra 5 activity points assigned each day. Unfortunately I’m on a 12 month contract so need to stick with it for now.

It’s gone down the nick. Shouldn’t have come off SW online. Which is better. But had two bereavements within 4 months of each other. So it messed things up. I decided to try weight watchers again. It is the last. They really have gone down the nick. For 6.50 a month. It just wasn’t worth it. And there are some smug people on connect. Friendly my ass. They only follow who they want to. I got attacked for stating an opinion which is true. Some of them are up their ass. I suggest SW. I’m going to go to a class.

Worst company I’ve ever worked with I signed up for the GLP one they make it sound perfect until you give them payment and it’s a complete utter joke. Their customer service is awful. They pretty much called me stupid and that I should’ve read even though I did, their service is completely changed after I signed up do not support this company at all please they are horrible!!!!

Kept charging me after I cancelled for 2 years

I cannot unsubscribe from their marketing emails. There is no obvious way to contact them. After 6 months of trying I still get their Spam

I have tried to join on two separate occasions and it wont except my card payments at all and l have tried two different cards has this happened to anyone else??

I joined WW for the first time last month. They sent me an offer for $17 per month if I signed for 12months. Pretty good deal, I thought.......Until i was offered a FREE upgrade to premium and the next month they started charging me $32.78. When I enquired via virtual chat (the only way to contact WW) I was told that I upgraded to Premium and that was the new charge, so my only course of action was to speak to a coach to change my subscription, before the next billing cycle. So I called them.......I have been on the phone, on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes so far and have not spoken to anyone.
I guess Its true then, Weight Watchers are not a company that has the best interest of its customers at heart. They are only interested in making a profit. Their customer service is non-existant and if it takes this long for a simple enquiry then they clearly need more staff. Because now that they do not conduct face to face workshops, there must be plenty of of trained staff to assist, right? Unless they are cutting costs to make more profit?? :(

Update on this. After waiting on the phone for 2.5hours I joined a live chat and asked the coach to put me through to someone, out of desperation.
Long story short, I waited for a call back and had my subscription cancelled and a refund given. Great outcome and thanks to both of the consultants who helped me, however I only cancelled because they could not give me the deal I originally signed up for 🤷‍♀️

I thought I cancelled, but it just kept on charging me after i stopped using it. They are very sneaky and expensive with their charges. App is so so, as is program. I guess it helps some people but for me it was mostly common sense. But I'm mostly angry about the sneaky charges

I signed up to the online version. Very disappointing. I have reached out to WW but had no reply. The online portal doesnt seem to provide much. Lists of acceptable foods which you cant print out in order to keep a copy in the kitchen or take shopping. The phone app is quite helpful but with my disabilities I find it too hard to operate with small phone , lack of dexterity and bad eyesight . Committed for 8 months so I have to remember to cancel, they still charge if you cancel early and you lose the app immediately. Would have imagined this breaches trading standards as if youre paying for a service they should provide it, but then of course it would be WW having to remember after the 8 months and its all too much trouble for them to do that.

Signed up for the 8 month core plan.Cancelled before the end of the 8 months and agree that I still pay for the next 2 months but I have also been locked out of the app despite 2 months still paying. The information available on the WW site doesn't explain that if you cancel before your subscription ends you would loose access to the app. Emailed customer services as detailed by another reviewer and received the same unhelpful response from WW.

I am writing regarding my subscription to the Core plan, which I signed up for on January 6, 2025. Unfortunately, I have experienced consistent issues with the app from the very beginning. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the problems, the app remains non-functional.

Here are the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times

Logged out and back into my account

Restarted my phone and attempted the above steps again

I have also sought advice from the community group, but the suggestions provided did not resolve the issue. Unfortunately, my work hours align with your customer service phone support hours, making it difficult to contact your team directly.

The inability to use the app has made it impossible for me to track my progress, which is a core feature of the program. As a result, I feel that Weight Watchers has not delivered the service promised under the terms of the plan.

Given these ongoing issues, I request to cancel my Weight Watchers contract without penalty, as the service provided does not meet its intended purpose.

I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.

All this before my 1st of 12 payments. As of today, I would not recommend this company. They do provide 24/7 help that soon refers you to call the 1800 Monday to Friday.

Signed up last year on the app, certain it was only 3 months. Cancelled back in may. Just checked bank statements and they've been taking payments out still. I rang and was told that I would still pay until February. Checked with others that I signed up with at the same time and theirs had stopped when they cancelled. We all went for the same one. Don't sign up, the only lbs lost are ££££

I tried to sign up to the 6.50 a month 12 month online membership yesterday with no success. Each time on submitting my payment details I get a screen saying that my payment hasn't been accepted & to check the details I have entered. I have tried using a different card but get the same result. There is no telephone number or email listed on their webpage. I googled weightwatchers UK & found an email address & tel no. I tried ringing the number but it just cut me off. I then tried emailing but have had no response. Yesterday I posted a comment on their Facebook page. I have had a reply today suggesting that I check if I have left a space when entering the postcode. So I tried again, same result. Have replied to the message on Facebook( 2 hours ago) but as yet have had no reply.Sadly now I am going to give up. This is not the Weightwatchers I remember & I would not recommend them. I would also like to point out to any prospective subscribers that it is a rolling contract that automatically renews after 12 months unless you cancel. Goodness knows how you cancel! Buyer beware!

Signed up on line, didn't realize it was a 10 month subscription despite not getting on with it after 2 weeks. Stuck paying every single month and cannot get it cancelled as customer service is non existent. Weight watchers used to be reputable, now they couldn't care less about health their just money grabbing. I would never recommend them.
