Great Fit!
Great Fit, beautiful fabric, tough construction! Monster Sahiko 5 Pocket Rules!
Read the sizing guide and trust it! These guys use real measurements, not like Levis, etc.
Went by their guide and could not be happier! Will be purchasing often!

Returned 2 items that were completely the wrong size and months later, still didn’t get the refund. Terrible customer service
Good jeans that will take a long time to get and will not fit
I took a couple of shots at Gustin and really did my best to become a fan. My experience across the board (jeans, shirts, shoes) went roughly the same way each time; I would use the sizing chart they provide to get an idea of what the size was, pay for the item + shipping, receive the item only to find that the fit was wildly off, pay for the shipping back to Gustin, then receive store credit for the payment price sans the shipping cost. As such, I have paid a pretty significant amount in shipping in order to not wear Gustin's products after waiting for at least a month each time. This has happened enough that I can't say it is a unique experience.
Top notch material, doesn’t fit whatsoever.
The company has very limited capacity to handle customer service so you end up taking a chance on their products with limited and inaccurate information. I’ve ordered several jeans and shorts from them in the past year. Only one shirt worked out. They’re not all created the same. An XL might fit better as an XXXL from one design to the next. While the quality of their denim is unmatched, their design flaws are substantial. I ordered the largest size jeans they made and because they have a no return policy, I was stuck with jeans that were too tight to squeeze into so I had them altered adding long strips of suede. Once I squeezed into them, they were so short in the hips that I could barely pull them halfway over body parts that should never be exposed in public. I really wish they’d design using average American standard sizes instead of trying to market themselves as a nichey boutique that sells some type of original sizing method and design that only could work for the very slender and short makers in Japan.
Horrendous clothing
Horrendous clothing, awful company, they should be sued out of existence. None of their clothing measurements ever match what is listed. I have purchased in total roughly 12 pairs of Gustin pants over the years. None have ever fit. Most recently I bought 5 that were supposed to be size 33. I measured the garments, they’re all 30-31. When contacted Gustin about the problem they blamed my body and measurement technique stating that I’m actually a size 35 in other brands. I’ve measured myself, I’ve had tailors measure me, I’m a size 32. I’ve been a size 32 for 20 years. Not only did I order a size up to ensure they fit, none of their pants measure true to size. Another pair was labeled 33 straight cut, it’s so tight in the thighs that I can’t even get them to my waist. On top of that, the inseam is very short, leaving absolutely no room for men’s privates, Gustin will probably recommend I castrate myself and try to convince me it’s my fault. They won’t let you return anything, they only let you pay to ship the clothes back for a fraction of the value in store credit. I’ve never hated a company more than Gustin. Pathetic thieves and liars
I decided to give Gustin jeans a try
I decided to give Gustin jeans a try, opting for a size 38 since I usually wear a 36 and figured a size up would offer a comfortable fit. Big mistake. After waiting an excruciating 7 to 8 months for my order to be completed, I was met with a pair of jeans that were shockingly tight around the waist. Despite fitting well everywhere else, I couldn't even button them - they were at least 2 to 3 inches smaller than advertised.
The quality of the jeans seemed decent, but that's where the positives end. The price I paid was over $200, which is rather steep for jeans that don't fit. When I reached out to customer service to inquire about exchanging them for a larger size, my messages were essentially ignored. No response, no assistance, just silence.
Gustin's claim of offering high-quality, well-fitting denim is far from the truth based on my experience. The inconsistency in sizing, combined with poor customer service, makes me highly skeptical of purchasing from them again. If you're considering Gustin jeans, think twice about the fit, the wait, and whether you're willing to risk getting no support if things go wrong.
Buyer Beware
In hindsight, I should have known better. Once I got them, these jeans were fine; but not exceptional. In theory, I saved a small amount of money with Gustin's "crowdsourced" model — but I bought this pair of jeans at "98% funded" and it was still literally over three months before I received them. That kind of delay isn't worth saving $15. But then, because they're "custom sewn", you can't return them if they don't fit well — which they don't. And you can't cancel or modify the order on the second pair of Gustins you ordered, even though they're not even at the "sewing" step yet. Last but not least, shame on me for thinking somehow a system where I'm required to accept the required 36" inseam (even though I normally wear a 32) would be workable. These jeans are way too long, and because even on the "slim" fit they barely taper, there's a comical amount of extra denim pooling at the ends of my legs. The website says I can take them somewhere to get them hemmed; but that would burn another several weeks and cost me more than I supposedly saved on this "crowdsourcing" model. Unless you have an opportunity to try these on in person, I highly recommend you avoid buying them sight unseen.
Bad return policy
I backed one of their workshirts and when it arrived, the fabric was very stiff (not supple, as claimed), the armholes were very small and the sleeves were 1.5" longer than their measurements say they're supposed to be. It was uncomfortable to wear. I made the mistake of not reading their return policy and washed the shirt to see if the fabric would soften up. It didn't and I now know I can't return it. I understand why the policy is the way it is, but when the product is so flawed to begin with, you would think there would be some type of recourse available. They did offer a $20 credit for my next purchase but why would I ever buy anything from them again?

Pants sizes and quality are a total crap shoot, of which I am at a 10% success rate. Skip this and go with a name you trust. For this price, not worth the wait, the inevitable item not fitting AND company just will not do returns.

I've been a Gustin customer since 2016 and have had a wonderful experience with their products, overall. On the few occasions there have been problems the company has responded right away to make things right. You get a lot more for your money with Gustin than you do with most other brands like Taylor Stitch which manufacture a lot of their clothing overseas. The only downside to the Gustin business model is the wait time. For new campaigns it can be anywhere from a month to three months from the time of purchase to delivery but this is one reason the items are so much less expensive. For me, the wait time only allows the anticipation to build. In short, Gustin offers phenomenal quality, American made manufacturing if you have the patience to wait.

Received the jeans and they have an imperfection (white thread sticking out) right on the thigh. Not to mention they need to be tailored once you get them. Jeans are over $100 and you can’t offer various inseam sizes? What a joke.
I ordered two items in March and one…
I ordered two items in March and one shipped right away and was fine. The other didn’t ship until late June so three months later and was literally four inches too small (not even close to buttoning). Despite letting their support know this and sending a picture to show how off the sizing was, apparently it’s my fault their sizing makes no sense because I didn’t read their “fit guide” (who the hell does, I’ve never been below a 30 or above 32, this 31 wasn’t even close to fitting) and after several back and forths they refused to refund it and insisted I pay for the shipping return just to get store credit, no refund. Obviously will never buy anything from them again, it’s the worst clothes purchase experience I’ve ever had. I used to live in SF and love it, and I am embarrassed for the city that they are based there.
Owner with short man syndrome
By modern standards this company is awful to deal with. When you’re lucky enough to get an item correct it’s pretty nice but the list of negatives is extensive.
First is the sizing issues. I’m guessing the owner in a small man and the sizing standards are some inner revenge agains normal size people. I’m 6’1” at 218 lbs. In normal brands I wear L sometimes XL. In gustin I’m always XXL and sometimes can not button my shirt. Anyone larger than me is simply out of luck. They don’t make clothing for large people. It not like the Asian companies where you can just order 5xl.
For jeans there is a second hurdle that must be challenged. The normal denim that jeans are made of stretches out over time. That means they should be a little snug at first. Same thing with leather shoes and leather belts.
With Gustin they offer lots of jeans in really tight fabrics. This means they will not have any give whatsoever. My true waist is 36”. That means in Levi’s I buy 34. In gustin I usually wear a 35 if the pants behave like normal denim. I have some Gustin 34” that with time fit me well. In other fabrics I need 37” or even 38”. The inconsistency is primarily in how the fabrics behave. Most manufacturers will take this into considerations. Gustin does occasionally suggest to go up a size but not nearly enough. I would say the number of buyers who don’t end up with small/tight clothing is probably close to zero. Historically they refused to accept returns. They now do if you put up a strong argument. Returns are far from easy, and the cost for shipping both ways is on you.
This attitude of “I’ll show all the big people” has kept this company from getting off the ground. I’m sure the four people who run the place make an income and the owner may actually make a good income. Once the owner want to retire the company will be worth absolutely nothing. The name is a liability because of their accumulated hatred and bad reviews. Had they paid attention and maintained even a modest level of goodwill the owner could have pitched the company to investors for $50 million. Instead they are still sitting wrapping clothing by hand and constantly dealing with complaints.
It’s a free world. If you want to start a retail company they you should recognize who is paying you. If you don’t like customer service then consider selling wholesale and let others take care of it for you.
Their fabric selection can at times be brilliant. The experience will never be great.
Adding an option with a higher waist would not hurt either considering it’s now 2024.
Simply eliminating the largest 15% of the population seems just rude.
This company reeks of short man syndrome
Very poor experience, shirt in the bin $200 later
Large sized shirt was sent with small size dimensions according to their published measurements. Company refused responsibility and denied refund or return, saying it's a property of the material.

Bought a leather bag (I am in Germany so no way would I risk the hassle to return trousers that don't fit). So I can only talk about the bag but it is good quality and I love it. Absolutely nothing to complain and I seriously doubt I would find the same quality (Horween leather is hard to come by in Germany) for remotely the same price. As for the bad reviews - keep in mind that people who had a good experience would likely not bother to write a review. Hence the average rating is very likely massively biased towards 1 or 2 stars. That being said I never ordered clothes precisely because of the sizing issues I expected. Shipping was 2 weeks including customs 👍
Sketchy spamming A holes
They buy email lists and start spamming you trying to bait you into buying their garbage clothing. With that, would you support them or an actual company? Exactly.
Garbage after a few wares
Meh company and quality of clothes is sub par for the price you can get much better else ware.
I was just so uterly disappointed
I was just so uterly disappointed. 6 years ago they had the best shirts. High quality, perfect fit. Now they are wal-mart quality shirts that shouldn't be priced over $20 retail much less priced cheaper given a crowd sourced system which is supposed to make things cheaper.
Dubious quality; not worth the price
The idea is cool, and their website gives a great feeling of confidence that you're going to get something nice. Not to mention the price tag, which for this case was about $180. For that price, I didn't expect to get a pair of pants that were cut and sewn so crookedly that the inside seam on the left leg actually sits closer to the middle of my shin than it does the side.
