The team were professional, responsive and very easy to deal with. Dean and his team are clear experts and helped us work through the fire safety requirements in a practical and organised way.
Communication was clear throughout, and they were proactive in helping coordinate the next steps, including access arrangements, planning and making sure everything was handled properly.
It is refreshing to work with a company that is reliable, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing fire safety services.
Expanding company that in time resolved all issues!!
Walker Fire have recently acquired a number of smaller local companies, and as a result have had issues in delivering a level of service that I am sure they strive to.
After the initial installation of a Fire Alarm System, it took a number of visits to finally deliver a system that was to the required specification.
I must commend the company for recruiting additional staff to help resolve disputes, and especially to Sarah Marrow who took the time to look in to the issues and provided a prompt resolution..

ALARM company misbehaviour.
I am sorry that I cannot give MINUS STARS to this company.
I have never used this company from over 2 years ago, after they took over a local alarm company and presented tanked up tarriffs to me for annual check of my alarm. I have had 2 successive annual reminders for alarm “service”, but have declined.
Today, I had an email scheduling an appointment, which they want me to confirm. “If the appointment date is not convenient, please get in touch ASAP with our planning department plan..com or 01772 693766. Our helpful team will be able to find and confirm a more suitable appointment date. If the appoitment is not confirmed, we will still attend as scheduled in line with our accreditation.”
I am astounded by their sheer audacity! They are telling me I WILL have a service, whether or not I choose to. They will simply present themselves at my doorway, whether I like it or not.
Is this a scam, or behaviour of a desperate company? I have emailed and advised them to cease all contact and to wipe my personal data from their system.

AVOID Walker Fire at all costs
I wish I had read these reviews before booking my annual alarm and extinguisher servicing with Walker Fire.
The first year, two engineers were booked to do the servicing on separate days. Fine.
This year, I booked in for servicing and was informed that ‘the engineer’ would visit the property on the afternoon of 4/2. I didn’t query this, as it seemed entirely plausible to me that one person could perform both tests. (I am now wondering if Walker Fire’s engineers are deliberately not trained to carry out both as a ploy to charge their clients more money).
I authorised access to the property through a key code on the afternoon specified but was surprised to receive two separate invoices with two separate attendance fees.
I rang immediately to query this and the last three weeks have been an awful back and forth in which I have been, frankly, treated with contempt. It turns out they sent two engineers on two separate days - on a day that was not agreed (or even mentioned) and certainly NOT authorised.
I anticipated an apology and that the second attendance fee would be waived… but sadly not.
Walker Fire insist that I must pay 2 x extortionate attendance fees, even though I have a confirmation email from them specifying in writing that one engineer (‘the engineer’) would attend on one afternoon - the 4/2.
At this stage, it’s not the money, but the principal.
I really wouldn’t use this company again. They are inept and immoral.

Terrible Service!
I’ve been chasing a quote from Zach for weeks now, and after finally speaking with him on the phone, I’ve been ignored ever since. Every time I call, I’m told he’s busy with some excuse. It would have been so much easier if he had just sent a quick email to say they couldn’t help, but instead, I’ve been left waiting with no response. This isn’t just one bad experience—it’s the tipping point after multiple issues.
Terrible service overall. Extremely disappointing.

Run away like wild fire from Walker Fire
Best part of 400 quid to replace a sounder (which they didn't have in stock) with call out charge of £115. Twice! As they didn't have the sounder in stock. Did I mention an alarm company having no sounder in stock? Or the £115 call out charge? Twice! My mum's winter fuel allowance wiped out thanks to these purveyors of daylight robbery. May this serve as an alarm to the real burglars here. Will be replacing the whole system for a wireless device-enabled alarm from my own installer for a little over twice the amount of this 'repair' A shameless disgraceful company. Won't be getting a penny more out of my 87 year old mum. Bring back Westmoreland whom she used to get 1st class service from.

How is this company still in business?!?!
How is this company still in business? Just like alot of the past reviews, I was a 12year+ customer of Detector Alarms who I've now gathered were taken over by Walker very recently. Took me 4 calls to get my annual alarm service booked in. That said the guy doing the service was very good. Its the backend office staff that are the problem. I got an invoice from Walker for close to DOUBLE what was agreed over the phone as soon as the service was completed. I have tried to contact someone at Walker to discuss the invoice and actually understand what sort of contract I have with them. 4-5 calls made to them, everytime I'm fobbed off with "someone will call me back" and guess what - no call back. I hope someone from Walker is reading this as I'm not going to pay the invoice until you contact me back. I am now taking legal advise on how to handle this. Let this review be a warning to any residential customer (either existing or new).

Walker Fire is an appalling company…
Walker Fire is an appalling company that never delivers the any service to their customers. They bought Tod Security which was a good company and have completely ruined it. We have just cancelled our contract with Walker Fire as they never fulfilled the contract and were quoting crazily high prices to fix our electric gate which had broken because they had used the wrong parts when they installed it.

I experienced many problems (too many to list) since Walker Fire acquired Tod Security. This was disappointing and caused great anxiety. However, having complained in writing, I received attentive service from staff named Chelsea and then Emma Jackson in the Customer Services Dept. Thanks to Chelsea and Emma for resolving my complaints.

Avoid at all costs
We had an ongoing agreement with Spitfire services who are now owned by Walkerfire. Since taking over they have attended site once(late) and charged triple what we were paying before without informing us beforehand, performed incorrect tests, filled in paperwork with incorrect information and missed items.
Unfortunately after raising these issues with Walkerfire they have chosen not to respond except with demands for payment of these massively overinflated invoices.

Westmorland fire and security, Walker Fire now, don’t care about their customers
Westmorland fire and security now Walker fire installed and serviced my home security, intruder, fire and CCTV. This year I requested my intruder alarm to be serviced, having done this before and paid approximately £80 I didn’t bother asking and wasn’t offered a quote. The service engineer was an hour late for the appointment, no apology or explanation but it happens. He was at the house 15 minutes. I was then presented with an invoice for £187 having paid £80 the prior year 134% increase. When I queried this the staff were rude, completely uninterested , no explanation, no apology for not mentioning this huge increase YOY. They don’t care about customer service it’s pay up or else. Would recommend anyone considering a home security system go somewhere else.

A Succesful outcome after Emma's Customer Service Intervention
I had a very poor experience with WalkerFire, but after reporting on Trust Pilot I received a reply from Emma.
After Email correspondence with Emma my situation has been favourably resolved.
I am impressed with Emmas professionalism, she thoroughly investigated my complaint and issued a Credit Note removed the charges for the Call Out Visit. A revised Invoice has been issued.
She has also identified training requirements and operational improvements. I do hope these are put in place before my next Alarm Service. Emma is professional - I hope the other employees become so.
My dealings with Emma have given me a confidence in the company.

Avoid in Northern Ireland
We have had significant problems with Walker since their takeover of Focus, a company in Northern Ireland that installed our fire and intruder alarm. They have been unable to maintain the fire alarm, and have zero internal coordination to share diagnostics or solutions. Despite this, they chase aggressively for invoices for services which have not been provided to the standard required.

Rip off merchants
We are stuck in a Walker Fire contract and all they do is charge a load of money for very little. The most expensive and shit company I've ever had to deal with. can't get through on customer service and the itemised invoice is a complete sham. daylight robbery. I would advise anyone to stay well away from these rip off merchants.
Poor workmanship
Poor workmanship, Walker fire charged us over £3000.00 for a repair and we had to call out another company to re-do their work, they left our workshop with no lighting at all because of what they had done.
they don't respond to emails and their organisation when it comes to compliance is appalling, we have now cancelled our contract as we lost all faith and they cost us so much extra money.
