£2 stolen from me
My neighbour’s burglar alarm (a Keyways installation) went off earlier this week during the daytime. It’s in the corridor of an apartment block so it was incredibly loud. The flat’s tenant wasn’t around so I took it upon myself to ring the number on the front of the alarm box, 0845 4566655. The helpline lady told me there was nothing they could do but that the alarm should stop shortly if its own accord. I thought nothing more about it until I checked my O2 phone bill and discovered that I’d been charged £2 for a 2 minute phone call. This is absolutely outrageous. It’s also ironic that a company who are connected with security were happy to fleece me of my hard-earned money when I was only trying to be helpful. AVOID!
