I’ve had an overall positive experience with this matchmaking service. While there have been a few mistakes along the way, the support I’ve received has made a real difference. My matchmaker, Johanna Wise, has been outstanding—professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. She consistently provides thoughtful, helpful advice and is always quick to respond to calls, emails, and texts. Her guidance has been invaluable, and she’s made the experience worthwhile.

Vida Select is an overly expensive way to use the apps. It essentially just adds a middle man to your use of bumble or hinge. My matchmaker was super friendly and professional, but would say things like “Hi! What do you think of [This Person] Strong Alignment:
Travel and spontaneous lifestyle
Active, outdoors, skiing
Confident energy and communication style
Social intelligence and banter compatibility
Director level, owns/operates a business”

She just quoted me what was on their profile page. I felt ripped off paying almost $2k a month to for someone to read me a profile.

This happened with almost every match. Unless your Vida representative has access to something other than Bumble or Hinge, it’s not worth the money for something you can do yourself.

I asked for help from Vida because I’m in an incredibly unique position in life and needed help with vetting. There was no vetting, just profile regurgitation, and also, unfortunately none of the men were attractive. I asked several friends if i was being too picky and multiple times different friends asked if my matchmaker had eyes.

Finally, i did go on four dates, all of the men were incredibly smitten with me and i felt terrible having to let them down because the matchmakers didn’t vet them well enough and they had jobs that couldn’t move, or wanted a more traditional woman (cooked, cleaned, stay at home mom which in another life would have been great but that is not a life I can accommodate right now).

I’m rating it a 3, because I know it’s helped some people, but I have a hunch those people have not used the apps themselves, or they’d realize there was nothing profound about the service.

In my consultation with Calvin last year, he asked me what I wanted to be different about my dating life. I said "I want to meet people who aren't just tech bros who talk about crypto and startups all night." He laughed and said "I got you." Every single person my matchmaker's introduced me to has been outside tech - met a chef then someone who works in nonprofits then a lawyer. Having conversations that aren't work-related has been amazing. Sometimes you need someone with a bigger network than your own industry or circle. That's been the real value - access to people I'd never meet otherwise.

Relocated to NYC in October and didn't know anyone so I downloaded all the apps - Hinge, Bumble, The League - and it was just frustrating. Everyone wanted casual or lived in Jersey. Friend suggested VIDA. They understood I'm new to the city and only sends people who actually live in Manhattan. 5 matches over 5 months: first guy I went on 4 dates with but realized we wanted different things, second was fine but no chemistry, third cancelled then ghosted, fourth I'm still seeing - we're on date six and I actually like him. It's been a good way to meet people. Not cheap but beats swiping by a mile

Came out of a long relationship last spring and my friends kept trying to pair me with people but none of those worked. A coworker told me she'd used VIDA and said I should try it. First date took about three weeks to happen. Felt slow but I get they need to figure out who fits. The dates have been much better than the random ones my friends would arrange. Just more on the same page about life stuff. Seeing someone now and it feels natural. Not how dating felt six months ago at all. Glad my coworker recommended it.

I found VIDA to be an excellent service in finding a dating partner. Francesca was highly engaged and invested in my search. Used a different matchmaking service last year, total waste. Random intros, felt like they pulled names from a hat. Signed up here not expecting much to be hoenst. My matchmaker Melina pushed back on some of my filters and explained why which caught me off guard. Turns out she was right. The matches were much stronger than my previous service. Only knock is communication between check-ins. There were stretches of 10+ days where I didnt hear anything so I'd end up reaching out myself. Met 5 women in the first couple of months, seeing one now who I wouldnt have picked based on a profile but we clicked in person. Giving it 4 stars because the slow responses frustrated me but the actual matching was solid.

They are professionals at matchmaking. They know what to ask and know how to keep a conversation going. I lack the patience and courage for this type of dating. They have helped me so much with my confidence. I’m grateful to be working with them.

Before I found Vida, I worked with a local matchmaker that was a large upfront fee, and they only focused on the city that I live in. They were nice people, but I really did not connect with any of the dates and this was for over a year.
I have only been working with Vida for about a month and they have already set me up on 2 amazing dates where I really connected with the other person. The difference is that they are pulling from a much larger pool of people.
Plus instead of a large upfront fee, they just charge by the month, which is much more reasonable financially.
I wish I had chosen Vida from the start.

I want you to know how delighted I am working with Francesca and Vida. She and her team care to get to know me and understand what I am seeking in women I would date. They have provided many great candidates in a short period of time. I have worked with other services. But they have a very limited pool of people in and within 2 hours of the Tampa Bay area. The other services want to introduce me to people that are a 4 or 5 hour drive and, in some cases, would required an airplane ride to get to.

I have already referred them to a good friend that is also considering using a dating service.

Communication with me was very good and they quickly took my comments and feedback into account. I feel like they were serious about helping me find a relationship.

I took a chance on Vida.

Their approach advertises access to date at a more affordable model than most other matchmaking services I've looked at. It's not-conventional, they drive your already existing dating apps for you, which I didn't fully understand until the intake call.

It took ~1.5 months to get everything set up. They do use AI to help generate photos based on photo sets you give them. Which I didn't understand until the photo set was presented to me for approval. The team was very willing to make adjustments (i.e. use just actual photos of me) at my request though.

Now that we are rolling there has been surprisingly good results. I approve all matches to pursue. The team is able to chat with matches, coordinate/setup dates, and get phone numbers with pretty much no effort from me. Once I have a phone number I take it from there.

Overall I'm happy with the direction this is going - but I hope the team continues to refine and evolve the approach. It's important to be more clear about how the system works and the approach, ideally before the intake call.. and disclose the use of AI in the photo department prior to giving me the first look at photos for approval. Looking forward to seeing how this fully plays out.. but excited to work with the team.

Vida provides an outstanding service. If you use Vida, you will get quality dates from on-line dating apps. My matchmaker Shyne and her team work with me and work together to ensure I connect with the matches that are right for me. I don't need to spend my time finding the right matches because Shyne and her team handle that. I just meet my matches and be myself.

I joined VIDA less than 2 months ago. I’ve only had two introductions … but I remain optimistic as it’s been such a brief period of time. Johanna is very nice and communicative.
