Came to Value City at Eastpoint Mall and two weeks before my items were do to be delivered I’m told I won’t get my items until over a month later: I will never go to them again nor refer someone to them. No bed no dining room set smh

Avoid this store. Do not buy from this company. The salespeople were lost and didn’t know what they were selling. My furniture was purchased in September and supposed to before Christmas. Half the furniture still hasn’t arrived. They called and delayed 4 times now. Now its maybe April 2022. 9 months later. They are literally selling furniture that is not in stock or available in a warehouse anywhere. UNSATISFACTARY. Customer service states the November 2021 delivery date was a “Expected by Date” which gives them permission to deliver whenever the feel like it. I will never go here again the again.

I was happy with VCF until I had to file a claim on the warranty that I paid them for. They sent the wrong part and now direct me to the warranty company. Warranty company says the part is right despite being a completely different size/shape cushion which is also used and dirty. This is a 0 star company.

Zero! What a nightmare! We ordered and paid for a 3 piece living room set (electric reclining couch, reclining loveseat, and manual recliner) in April 2021 in hopes of having it for my upcoming knee surgery in June 2021. That was a joke! They gave me an August delivery date, that we weren’t aware of until after it was paid for. We decided to wait for it anyways. August came and they began to make excuses saying that there’s a long wait for furniture and the new date would be in September. Again, we waited. September came and again they began making excuses saying that 2 of the pieces could be delivered by end of October and the loveseat in November. I called them near the end of October to see what time they would be delivering the furniture and they said they had good news- all three pieces could be delivered on October 27th. We were finally excited on that day that all three pieces had arrived. But, as you can expect, there was a problem. The loveseat came defective and had to be returned. The workers told me to leave it in my house until the new one came in, but I refused to keep the defective loveseat in my house. They took it out and about a week later we received a phone call that the loveseat was in and we could pick it up. Ah, no! It was to be delivered, not picked up. So they changed it in their system and it was to come November 9th (today). When we didn’t receive a phone call with the estimated time of arrival, I called them and they again said that it was ready to be picked up! I again argued with them saying I already went through this last week! They supposedly changed it in their system again, and now they say it can be delivered next Saturday, November 13th. I was told that was the best they could do. I don’t wish this experience on anyone! Please find another reliable company to buy from!

Never again i will order from VCF. I waited on the item for so long and at the end they sent me a wrong recliner! I ordered gray received it white that matches nothing with my room. I rented a truck to pick up the item, now it takes half of my living room and i need to rent another truck to return it, the item is over 100 LBS. Here is the order number: 851555322456556 39C4CBCE111. I tried calling VCF and i am on hold for over an hour just to return something they sent wrong! Not my fault i dont need to be in this mess. Now i need to pay for the truck to rent it again return the item possibly if anyone answers the phone call. Dont ever do business with them their service is terrible!

This is by far the worst most unprofessional experience I’ve ever encountered.
I have never written a review but I have to warn people, and seeing these other reviews makes me wonder is some type of scam occurring with VCF???
I too didn’t receive my furniture at the date it was supposed to arrive, they pushed the date back without informing us.
Our new delivery date was between 10am-1pm no one contacted us until 4:30pm saying they were 5 minutes away.
We were home so although they were hours late we were happy to hear we were about to receive our furniture.
The driver gets out and shows us a picture on his phone saying, “We have your chairs but is this the table? It looks small they must’ve messed up your order?”
The table on his phone looked very small compared to what we ordered so we were saying “No the table we ordered was huge, it was a dining room table not a island”.
The driver then says “Well we can give you the chairs and take the table back and you can take it up with the store, we aren’t responsible for that”.
I told them no I’d like to at least see the table because I don’t want to base it off a picture from his phone and also our server was supposed to be there too.
The driver then said that they seen that the server was damaged so they didn’t put it on the truck.
No one informed us and at this point it seemed like they were trying their hardest not to give us our furniture.
I asked them to take the table off the truck, and it was a Huge box so clearly it wasn’t the wrong table!
I then asked for them to contact the manager at their warehouse about our server.
The supervisor goes and looks at the server and says “There's nothing wrong with it I don’t know why they didn’t load it on the truck, the drivers can come and get it or you’ll have to wait until Tuesday”. (It was Saturday) The drivers declined going back to get it and when Tuesday arrives I track my order and they put it in for the following Tuesday.
I called to complain because why should I have to wait an entire week longer for something that was there, was already supposed to be delivered, promised to be delivered now pushed back again!?
Mind you the wait time to speak to someone is in 30 minute intervals but I waited because I Got Time all about my $2000 I spent at this store!
Of course once I get through I make my complaint I’m put on hold then hung up on. So now I’m currently waiting another 30 minutes while writing this review!
I believe the warehouse company is keeping our furniture for themselves and writing it off as damaged!
They are pushing back delivery dates and being non compliant to complaints so that we just give up on the furniture but Value City and the Warehouse aren’t connected like the warehouse is a third party company.
Once it’s paid for to Value City it’s up to the warehouse to deliver.
The drivers were saying if it gets damaged it’s not the fault of the warehouse so I believe they are partially damaging boxes to make it look defected then giving the customers this huge run around.
Then the manufacturers send a new item and it’s either delivered to the customer or value city if it was refunded. But the warehouse employees are getting away with furniture that has minor issues or no issues just the box being damaged.
There’s no way all these people are dealing with the same exact issues in all these different places and it’s not a bigger more intentional issue.
Believe me I’m going to go above and beyond to insure this is investigated!

Can I tell you how frustrated and annoyed I am?!! We bought kiersten a new bedroom set for her birthday that was set to be delivered today. The color of the furniture is wrong, the bed didn’t come storage as we were quoted. We spent $4000. I call and tell them the problem. The response “well, did the salesman give you a written quote for the product you wanted? If not, there will be a $600 price difference.” Seriously, I took a picture of what we ordered. We were given today as a date of delivery. This is ridiculous. Come pick your crap up. I’ll go elsewhere. Value city furniture Henrietta—- you SUCK. NEVER WILL WE SHOP THERE AGAIN.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
I went to the store in Springdale, Ohio with my granddaughter to pick out a set of bunk beds in June 2021. I was told they would be delivered on July 11th. A couple of days prior to the scheduled delivery date, I got a call that the rails were on back order from the manufacturer, and the delivery would be delayed to August 12th. The delivery men came on August 12th, and they did not have the rails on their truck and could not put the bunk beds together. In addition, I had ordered the grey color, and one of the pieces that they had on the truck was white! The delivery man called the warehouse manager to report the issues. He investigated, and I received a call stating that the rails were still on back order and I would have to wait another month! Why in the heck would you send out a delivery, knowing full well that the parts needed were not available, and send a piece with a different color??!! I told them NO, and requested a full refund! DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I was extremely upset about everything surrounding the delivery of our furniture (long story), but she handled my concerns with care, understanding, and consideration. She maintained a level of professionalism that I believe all who work in customer service should have. Her voice tone was reassuring and sympathetic. Having worked with customers my entire life, before retirement, I truly appreciate the job she did for my wife and I. In my opinion, she’s a valuable asset to your company. Please acknowledge her in your own way for an outstanding performance of her duties.
Horrible Customer Service
I purchased a new couch from Value City Furniture in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 06/09/2021. We had a great experience that day with our salesman Josh, extremely helpful and informative. This wasn’t my first purchase from this location as I have bought a lot of furniture here over the last 15 years. The day we purchased the couch we scheduled a delivery date for 07/01/2021. We expressed to our salesman that we worked 20 minutes away from our home and needed at least a 20 minute notice before they arrived. We were told that wouldn’t be an issue at all, that they typically give an hour notice before they arrive. We left happy and excited to get our new couch.
July 1st we were told a window of delivery between the hours of 5:45 and 8:45 p.m. Which would be no problem as we would be out of work and home to take delivery.
At 1:16 p.m. that day I missed a call from an unknown number, no message was left. At 2:05 p.m. that same day, I received a call from Value City Furniture stating that the delivery drivers tried to reach me and were at my house to deliver the couch, and nobody was there. They were over 3.5 hours early. I told them I could be there in 20 minutes to take delivery. I then was told that they could not wait and we would have to reschedule. After much discussion with the Value City Furniture manager, they were able to get the drivers to wait for us to arrive. Once we arrived, they unloaded the couch, opened it up to make sure everything was correct to set it up. Upon set up we noticed that they delivered two of the same side of the couch. So unfortunately, we had to reschedule another time for them to deliver the other half of the couch. So they rescheduled for 07/15/2021. I was then told by the warehouse manager as well as the drivers that they would be sure to get me at least a 30 minute window for the next delivery to get home in time.
On 07/15/2021, we were told the hours of delivery would be between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. I called first thing that morning to speak with Value City Furniture to see when the drivers would call me to let me know when they were on their way, as I needed some notice to get home. Someone at the Grand Rapids Value City furniture location assured me that it was their policy to notify me 30 minutes before delivery.
At 2:16 p.m. I received a text message stating they were an hour away. At 2:17 p.m. I received a call from the drivers stating they were on their way to my house. I asked how far away they were, and they assured me that I had enough time to get home as I told them it would take me 20 minutes. At 2:28 p.m. I received a call from the drivers stating they were at my house, and they stated they would wait 10 minutes for me to arrive, or they would have to leave. 10 minutes later we arrived and they were gone. They would not answer their phone when I called to see where they were.
I then called Value City Furniture in hopes they would assist me and get the drivers to turn around so they could swap the couch. I was told, by the Sales Manager, that they would not be able to do so and would have to reschedule again.
I am in retail, I understand that there can be issues with timelines with scheduling. However, there was no assistance from the Sales Manager in this regard at all. They have now rescheduled me again for next week Thursday, 07/22/2021. It is quite difficult for me to continue missing work like this when this was caused by a warehousing mistake on Value City Furniture's end in the first place. It seems unacceptable that the sales manager at the store did not make an attempt to find a quicker resolution to getting the correct piece of furniture to me sooner than next week. Adding that on everyone’s part, sales managers, drivers, who have stated to me that there will not be a problem giving me enough notice to be there to take delivery. I should not have to take an entire day off of work when a phone call was promised at least 30 minutes in advance of arrival.

I was purchased furniture items from valucity furniture sterling height location at June 06th 2021, it was delivery date June 17th 2021 but till July 08th 2021 I didn't received this item from sterling height location, mohammed Alim was my sale agent he does not talk with me about delay delivery when i buy this items, this is bad customer services, horrible, nobody go to the shop for buy some, they are cheating with customer, they doesn't know how to customer services

Where is my my refund?!?!?!?
Placed an order for 2 pieces of furniture. One actually came in as it was supposed to and one time. The other, a costly one, was pushed back another month. So they asked if I wished to cancel, which I'm betting was the intent all along. I paid for this with a card over 2 weeks go by and no refund for the cancelled furniture put back into my account. Good luck calling someone unless you time it to right before they open the lines. Finally got through to a rep. They said they issued the refund over a week ago to the bank. Must be the banks fault. Call the bank, they never received anything about such refund. Call VCF back, and now my case is under investigation. It's ridiculous. I just want my money back.

across the room.He refused to look at the pictures and wasn"t even surprised. He indicated it was beyond warranty . It clearly was a defect in the glass that caused the explosion and he refused to accommadate the situation.BEWARE !!
