Mijn vertrouwen in het digitaal aankopen is behoorlijk gekwetst. Op de site van ValueBasket.nl, die er behoorlijk professioneel uitzag, in vol vertrouwen een telefoontje besteld van 599 euro. En helaas vanaf half april 2016 aan het lijntje gehouden met dat de bestelling binnenkort komt en na begin juni besloten te hebben dat ik toch liever mijn geld retour wil, veel sussende mailtje met beloftes dat mijn geld binnenkort wordt teruggestort. .

Maar nu helaas officieel bericht ontvangen dat Valuebasket.com (valt ValueBasket.nl onder) failliet is ... dus niets ontvangen en geld weg... erg pijnlijk!

Wat heb ik geleerd... dat je hiertegen niet beschermt bent.
Dat in de aanvullende voorwaarden (die niemand leest) het bedrijf onder Hongkong valt en je rechtsbijstandsverzekering dus niets voor je kan doen omdat ze dit bedrijf niet voor de Nederlandse rechter kunnen laten komen.

Dat als je ondanks je jezelf iets meer van te voren te verdiepen in reviews je hier toch niet tegen beschermen kan en ik nu moet proberen te leven met het feit dat ik mijn zeer kostbare 600 euro weggegooid heb. ...

Het meest erge heb ik gevonden dat er nog zolang nieuwe slachtoffers hebben kunnen bijkomen.

Due to non despatch of a Samsung Galaxy for two weeks for which I paid £381.99 I requested a refund from Valuebasket. This resulted in an an exchange of 18 emails over a period of more than a further six weeks. Typically this included the phraseology from Valuebasket:"I am deeply apologetic for the inconvenience caused. Rest assured that we are doing all to speed-up the process. I will make sure this gets sorted out the soonest possible time and will be treated with high priority."

When placing the order on the Internet, the company gave a UK address and telephone number.

According to the statement of affairs provided by the company the total liabilities of the company were more than 11 times the estimated realisable value of the company's assets.

There are a significant number of people who have been asking for refunds from Valuebasket for extended periods of time without success.

It is quite clear that Valuebasket has been trading while insolvent, i.e. that they knew or ought to have known that there was no reasonable prospect of paying the company's debts.

This is a serious offence known as fraudulent trading and renders all the directors personally liable for the company's debts.

Furthermore Valuebasket has misappropriated customers' money. These are members of the public. This brings trading with companies in Hong Kong into disrepute and warrants severe punishment of the directors.

If you have been caught by this fraudulent scam, report the matter to the Hong Kong police: crimeinformation @ police.gov.hk and the liquidator enquiry @ klccpa.com

I bought a $250 watch from them over 10 weeks ago now and after dozens of emails back and forth, in which they promised my money back, now they send me emails announcing their liquidation.

My Nexus Tablet was sent to them for repair in May 2016. They have been lingering around on the email replies, Now they are not even contactable.

I send my Sony Xperia Z3 Daul for repair and it seems that I've been cheated! There's no chance I'm going to get my phone back! How could they do this? Are they human? Bad Bad Bad.

However, I believed that we all have our own decency within and I hope that they will return my phone ASAP! Still we can live and hope!

Just to update everyone, I've managed to made contact with the administrator and finally got my phone back before Xmas!

it on Warranty , I've sent my Asus zenfone 6 back to their repair in Hong Kong and no sign of them at all.the business look like it closing down because of the website and you can't talk to anyone on the phone and email because they have technical issues. it been 3 week and i don't know where my phone is and how long it would take to fix it. it should take 1 month to fix an item if it take 3 month then give me an new one or my money back

I am highly disappointed as we placed the order for phone and was waiting more than 8 weeks. Tried to call the customer, horrible service the lady called Alice was rude and disconnected the phone without giving us the delivery date. We then cancelled the order and it's been nearly 4 weeks now we didn't get the money back and we coudn't contact Value basket via phone and via website. I NEED MY MONEY. PLEASE RESOLVE. I am scared that we are being cheated here. Ticket ID: RVI-115-87979

I placed an order with VB a year ago and had no problems with them - I got the phone I wanted for a very good price. As such I had no issues placing another order with them in early June. With two weeks passing and no notice of dispatch I contacted them and following some to and fro I decided to cancel my order as it was a gift. Nearly 6 weeks from requesting a refund I still had no money back from VB except the same BS everyone here is dictating- problems with this department causing delays. In the end I contacted my bank and they decided/managed to give me a refund despite the transaction being carried out on my debit card. I would suggest those in a similar situation contact their bank as I have absolutely no belief VB will give your money back!

I've never had a problem with ValueBasket. I get my photo equipment from them at a great price, I've even bought a camera (I was worried but it arrived in good time and as expected - new in the box) I will continue to use Value Basket as I can get exactly what I need at a better price than anywhere else.

I've sent my phone back to their repair centre and no sign of them at all.
I have sent many emails, the customer service is not operating at all.
If anyone have any idea how to get it back, please reply.

Never ever buy from valuebasket, because they dissappear with your money, I had ordered online a cell to gift to my girlfriend, on 13 th june n now its 3 rd aug 2016, its nearly one n half mnth, i even had a chat with customer support, they said " as a appreciation for your patience we are giving you free adaptor with your product" i said il wait coz i had ordered once earphones n it took nearly 1 mnth,
now even the online site for value basket not working and cant even contact them, please if anybody has lost money through these, please contact your bank soon, they will deal with it, I got my hard earned money, thanks to god, and to the lyods bank,.

I have file an online cyber crime report to Hongkong police . plz file your report/incident to them. I receive email from them that they are taking this matter serious.

Salve a tutti, oggi per l'ennesima volta volevo sollecitare il processo di rimborso che va avanti da più di 2 mesi per un ordine PAGATO ANTICIPATAMENTE DI 415 Euro ed effettuato a Marzo 2016, oggi leggo di fallimento.... qualcuno con un pò più di esperienza in campo legale potrebbe gentilmente darmi qualche delucudazione in più sul da farsi?

I have canceled order and asked for refund since They had never shipped out my order.

In the end, They has never refund the money. I lost 700USD.

ValueBasket is just Fraud or Robber.

I made an order on 21st June of a Sigma lens 18-35mm 1.8 which costed 579,99€ and it was never shipped.

I contacted many times by email and they said always the same. Like a template message in Spanish saying that they were trying to send it as soon as possible and asking sorry for the delay with the justification that they were very busy.

Called by phone (Maltese number, the only available at the moment) and they said to call in the end of the week if the situation remains the same. Trying to call last friday... Nothing. Site not working. Arrived to this site and can see man others in the same lame situation. It's a shame. 579,99€!!!!

It was not the first time i bought on valuebasket, in the last 2 years i ordered two canon cameras, a gopro and a canon lens and never had problems. Everything arrived well packed and safe.

Now this bad, really bad situation...
Still can't believe, still don't know what to do. Hopeless?
