We've used UptimeRobot to monitor the network connectivity of some of our critical locations and websites for years.

The management interface is a little fiddly (does not like adblockers), they've tightened the noose on some features we didn't realize we had been grandfathered into (number of SMS seats), and the billing arrangements may require reaching out to support (vs. self-service).

However, no service is perfect and it has reliably done exactly what we need at what seemed like a reasonable price.

My organization has been using Uptime Robot for several years (free account). After migrating to a new server, UR has helped us catch and quickly diagnose multiple incidents that could have otherwise led to significant user down time.

We have been a paying customer of UptimeRobot since 2021. In November 2025, our annual subscription renewed. Due to company downsizing, we needed to cancel our subscription and requested a prorated refund for the 9 months of the subscription we would not be using.

UptimeRobot refused.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that UptimeRobot own Terms of Service explicitly state that exceptions to the no-refund policy can be granted at their sole discretion. We were not asking for special treatment outside their policy. We were asking them to apply a provision that already exists within it. That request was denied at the management level, with no meaningful explanation beyond a reference to their standard terms.

We were a loyal customer for over four years. We raised this professionally and in good faith, directly with their management team. The response was dismissive. Retaining payment for 9 months of a service that will not be delivered or used, as we were locked out from the account, is not a fair or ethical business practice.

If your company pays annually for SaaS tools, be aware that UptimeRobot will not work with you if circumstances change mid-term. There is no goodwill, no flexibility, and no meaningful customer discretion applied, even for long-standing accounts. You carry 100% of the downside risk if you pay annually.

We would strongly recommend other businesses to choose a different tool with prorated refund policies.

When you own and run your server infrastructure, uptimerobot is essential for survival, and frankly it makes all the difference in confidence for my server uptime. Without it I wouldn't know there was a problem. With it I am able to sleep with the confidence that I don't have to babysit my servers. The peace of mind that comes with this tool invaluable.

I work for a housing association and use UptimeRobot to monitor our remote sites, websites, SaaS platforms amonst other things. The realtime alerts provide instant emails that go to our ticketing system allowing the support deskt to action issues immediately. UptimeRobot is a great tool and has been incredibly relilable for us.

The site helps me with real-time notifications of issues with my web app platform. I am abel to react right away to any downtime found by Uptime Robot so that I keep my platform running for my customers. I also like how it shows my total avg uptime as corporate or institutional clients do ask for this info.

Die Oberfläche ist klar strukturiert, man behält auch bei mehreren Monitoren den Überblick. Benachrichtigungen kommen zeitnah und funktionieren stabil.

Für den Preis, vor allem in der kostenlosen Version, absolut solide Lösung ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack.

UptimeRobot enables us to monitor our websites for outages. We have depended on their consistent service for years to ensure we can quickly contact our host and pause our ads during downtime. Monitors are easy to set up, allowing our team to be notified via email in case of an outage.

Leider sind die Diagramme nicht nachvollziehbar, min und max Werte sind immer gleich, Ausfälle werden gemeldet wo keine sind. Ich hab mich daher für einen Anderen entschieden, da läuft alles wie es soll und ist auch kostenlos. Dieser hier hat leider null geholfen, eher weitere Arbeit gemacht.
