Great for purchases and managing. Helpful customer service.

The pricing great, the support, great, cheapest Domain registry which i still have with the company. As for my website, thats another thing. the second it got to popular they demanded i transfer to another hosting service, that was just over a yr ago. Not the best idea you want from a hosting site that claims you are getting to much traffic.

The service has been robust and resolution when things have gone away quick. We do not use the system heavily but it is good for our needs.

I've been with UK Cheapest for over 15 years and found them completely reliable. On the rare occasions I've needed help, their support team have always responded quickly in a friendly and efficient manner.
They're not as cheap as they once were. They DID hold their prices for as long as possible (fair play!) but will have had no choice to raise them. Understandable as their overheads will have skyrocketed in recent years due to commercial energy prices, etc...
Saying that, they are STILL competitively priced and the customer service is great.

I originally started transferring a .com domain on 4th November. As required, I obtained the authorisation code from my original host and entered it into the transfer form on the UK-Cheapest website.

When entering the auth code, the website gives the impression that no further action is required. Only if you hover over the small help icon do you discover that an additional email will be sent to the registered domain email address, which then requires you to click a confirmation link. I never received this email — and more to the point, what’s the purpose of having a section to enter the code if it doesn’t actually do anything until you click a separate link? It’s confusing and feels completely pointless.

By the 9th, nothing had happened, so I contacted support to find out what was going on. When I still hadn’t received any meaningful update, I opened a complaint on the 11th. Eventually, I was told the transfer had timed out and that I needed to re-enter the code via a new link. I did this, and after some back-and-forth, my original host confirmed the transfer had gone through. I’m now just waiting for UK-Cheapest to update the status from “pending” to “transferred.”

Throughout this process, no one has apologised for the failed transfer or for ignoring my complaint. I’ve moved several other domains (.co.uk) with no issues, but this .com transfer has been unnecessarily frustrating and time-consuming. It could easily have been avoided with clearer communication, working systems, and proper follow-up.

Sadly, this experience shows that “cheap” doesn’t necessarily mean “good value” when it comes to customer service.

UK-Cheapest have been a very reliable company for me for more than 15 years. Support is generally very good and prompt. The only thing I do not like is not being able to pay via PayPal which is more convenient.

They don't help when problems with transfer occur. This is the second time a transfer from BlueHost has gone wrong. The last time two domains expired because I assumed the transferred has happened. There is no human contact, just an AI Bot with the IQ of a demented cat.

I created a ticket and asked:

"Any idea when the transfer will happen this time. Hadn't happened after a month last time. Been waiting a week so far and your AI Bot is no help, as usual."

They answered:

I've absolutely no idea what Andrew meant, the domain were still pending transfer according to UK-Cheap's Domain list

I received adequate reminder, and I was able to make payment quickly and efficiently.

Easy to search for domain may require and then to purchase. Now our go to place for domain names. Great prices and easy to sort out any problems.

I've been using been using UK-Cheapest for maybe 10 years now.

Their hosting has improved consistently over that time and the Plesk dashboard provides sufficient tools to manage sites.

Not as cheap as they used to be but that's become the world we live in - nothing is! I believe they offer good value for money.

In my experience, both Joomla and WordPress sites have performed adequately. You could pay more with other hosts thinking you'll get more - but I can't see that you would need to.

My comments are based on my own use case which is for small business websites.

What impresses me most though is the support provided when it matters most - they shine when compared to others I have worked with in my day job.

A very simple and easy to understand system.

Easy to work with, low cost, and a reliable service.

Ive been using uk-cheapest for several years without issue. On the odd occasion I've had a query, they have been quick to respond.

Absolute rubbish. Paid for a domain. Two days later I was told I can’t have it. Waste of time. Do not use.

A reliable web hosting provider that I have used continuously since 2012 for a club website. I have never felt the need to look elsewhere so cannot make comparisons, but performance, ease of use and cost seem very good.

Repeatedly atrocious support
I assume UK-Cheapest's support is delivered by some sort of terrible AI system. Time and time again my simple requests were met with answers that seemed unrelated to my question. Only when I complained did someone at last answer my simple request. Really poor.

UK-Cheapest seem reasonably priced and offer a good service. I get email reminders as to when my next payments are due. Also, in the past when I've had difficulties the staff have dealt with them efficiently. I'm not really tech-savvy and so this service has been very helpful.
