It was good the car wasn't in a top condition it wasn't cleaned when I picked it up but everything else was good.

Van was very close to us and in perfect condition. Really easy experience. We were lucky to find a parking spot though, not sure what we would have done otherwise

Was able to call Car Share Team when I had an urgent issue with a particular vehicle which was falsely advertised by the owner in the day. The team were able to cancel and rebook another vehicle which was prompt and helped me out. The only catch was because of the location and I had a mobility issue, there little choice in the pricing of vehicles in the area which meant I had to take another more expensive vehicle but other than that, they were extremely helpful and I was also reimbursed for my original booking price. do not hire cars from ubercarshare
we were told that we did damage to a car, and since we couldn’t prove to them that it was not our fault (the pictures we took upon returning the car was blurry) we were charged nearly 6000 dollars for the scratch
It was ridiculous. The car had a big dent on the left side of it. And i truly believed the owner is trying to rip us off and take extra money to fix those dents.
SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT EVER HIRE FROM UBERCARSHARE.
I borrowed the car on 5th April and returned it on that night. They charged me 800aud for ‘estimation’ of expenses to fix the scratch (charger on 6th May)

and then they went ahead and told me the owner provided me with ONE quotation amounting to 6000 dollars and after being assessed by ubercarshare, it went down to ONLY 5000 dollars

I reached out to scratch and dents expertise and was told that we were being ripped off. We contacted ubercarshare and told them that we definitely are being scammed. GUESS WHAT? ubercarshare was on the owner’s side and didnt offer any help.
contacted legal center about this and will look into the issue further. if i could include a picture on this i definitely would. trust me when i say it was a SMALL scratch. for 5000 dollars? and they said we should be ‘relieved’ because we had to pay excess of 2000 dollars only. come on, for a small scratch? that’s ridiculous
DO NOT HIRE FROM UBERCARSHARE EVEN IF THEY GIVE YOU COUPONS OR ANYTHING DONT EVER HIRE FROM THEM, NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. They will definitely find a way to charge you more than you owe, trust me they will
Fabulous first time with Uber Carshare
Fabulous first time with Uber Carshare. Trip went without a hitch. App easy to use and efficient. We just had a short trip and Carshare saved us over $100 that we were going to spend on a removalist! Very happy. 😊

Great idea I love it! And different options to suit different lifestyles , loved the luxury car and loved returning it cleaner than when I picked it up!
However I do believe the final payment at the end of trips needs to be tweaked
Borrowers need to be thorough in selection and following steps on pick up and drop off to avoid issues with transactions and rthatt will determine a successful experience or not

All good for 1st time but was not sure about fuel again as got car half full and replaced to same- hopefully this was acceptable as was not easy to find exactly what to do

My experience couldn’t have been worse really. I wouldn’t use the app again and would not recommend anyone else use it either
Mid way through my first trip I get an email out of the blue saying my account has been cancelled with no explanation. I needed the app (and my account) to open the car so this was terrifying that I could have been locked out of my hire car at any point.
I contacted support for an explanation and apparently it was an automated system message. But they then completely ignored my questions about whether I was still insured to drive the car or whether I could be randomly locked out of the car at night in a remote location of a foreign country with no reason or explanation. Which stopped me using the car in and paid for
It eventually transpired that this account cancellation message was an error. But they did not seem to care less about the impact this had on me or my holiday and only reluctantly refunded a day after much back and forth.
In addition to this the car was not in a fit state to be hired out. One electric wing mirror was not operational at all, the suspensions creaked constantly the whole time I drove the car and the brakes squeaked when applied (metal on metal sound). Not to mention that the ceiling lining was caving in and sitting on my head
I decided to report the break squeak through the app so it could be fixed before the next customer. Incredibly they emailed me to stop driving the car and call roadside assistance and have it inspected. As if I was a service tech working for their company!
Since they told me not to drive the car I asked for a refund. They refused unless I acted as an unpaid tech for them and waitied for hours for some breakdown people to look at the car (it wasn’t broken down!). Unbelievable.
At this point I gave up and returned the car a day early as I did not want to ruin any more of my holiday dealing with this company. I’m not holding my breath for a refund.
If you want something safe and reliable or good customer service look elsewhere I think. They don’t care about theirs customers at all.
They have zero empathy for you and do not care about your experience with them I cannot emphasise this enough

Rented a van. Very cheap. The van was 20 years old. Drove to my destination picked up my stuff and 1/2 back to Sydney at Yass the van broke down.
NRMA towed me to Yass. Inspected the vehicle and looking into the engine well, the NRMA assessed it as not having being serviced in a very long time. Low very black dirty oil, wrong battery tied in place with plastic straps etc.Assessed the engine a having 'died' (turns out the bearings went)
4 days spent in Yass attempting to sort it. The phone support was O/S and of no help. The Australian insurance company was v helpful and got me to Canberra to hire another van(at my expense with Gecko who I would recommend).
Drove back to Yass, unloaded van into new van drove to Sydney unloaded etc.
Took a few weeks to sort the mess. Very stressful with poor and little communication from UCS.
Eventually, I am exonerated of blame for the vehicles failure despite the owners claim I had driven it off road(!!?) How he came to this conclusion is mysterious.
Six months go by. After 6pm ie after close of business. UCS ring me and inform me the original decision has been overturned and now I have to pay the excess of $500 which will be withdrawn in 5 days!! If in the future they find, If I dispute the findings and that I am not at fault they will refund the money!!! They are however taking the money regardless.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BUNCH OF CROOKS!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! CHEAP BUT YEAH YOU'LL PAY!!!!

The worst experience verifying identity
The worst experience! My verification process was not approved? I called them to ask what more information is required for me to verify my identity. They said “you have completed the application and your license was all that was required” but we have no approved your verification. I asked if there was anything more I could provide to prove my identity or if I could understand how I can get approved to use the services, they proceeded to say that “they cannot provide that information”. I have provided my information to this company but they were not able to tell me what my identity was being used for? Horrible experience! Uber please seperate yourself from this entity as a loyal customer this experience was atrocious.
Super easy.
It was easy from start to end of trip. Allows for so much flexibility to be suitable for anyone for any kind of trip.
