Tymebank isn’t cool.

Tyme Bank is a well priced bank, it's not your traditional bank, the banking app works well and is safe with that said I use the account for may day to day transactions and to get back half a percentage in Pnp points. It works but don't put all you savings into it, it's a small bank and is new on the block.

Tymebank has partnered with online shops to scam people, I was scammed, and till date a case was opened and zero happened, used my airtime, they will put you on hold mind you, using your own airtime, and they will not call you back, scammers, I'm done with this bank, big scammers

I have been a customer of Tymebank for a couple of years now. I recently did some online job that was advertised on FB and received money into my account. This was to serve as payment for online jobs. On 24/12/2023 I wanted to pay my rent and realized that my account was on credit hold. I phoned in and explained the incoming money. I was then asked to do an affidavit at SAPS and mail to the, which I did immediately. I was told there would be a ***** investigation. I did not commit any ***** and was most probably ****med. Since then, I have had no funds available to me or my children. So, it was Xmas and new year without food and rent money. I phone every day, but to no avail. No help or any understanding of my situation. I hope people will consider this absolute heartlessness before they try and do business with Tymebank. I have seen multiple complaint about this same situation all happening now in December. What bank does this to people? Absolutely shocking. DO NOT OPEN A TYMEBANK ACCOUNT. THEY WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER.

a mistake was made from the merchant side, their transaction showed that it did not go through from the cashiers side, I just saw the reversals on my fphone of which I did not mind the money was not mine, my problem was 1. I received no notification regarding the transaction no phonecall nothing. 2. It gave me the impression that my account is not save and that money could be taken from my account. 3. For those transactions fees was incurred which I would have to be liable for, and of which was not my mistakes or my own transactions

Simply put the easiest bank by far, no paper work no fuss, as long as your email address is right you get your monthly statements on time, although PayPal isn't used by them it is still an awesome bank with 24hr online support and help lines I highly recommend Tymebank for anyone looking to open their first bank card,

I Have A Credit card with them, and the support team they have are not doing their job. I got a refund on a purchase i made on the15th of June, and till now , the money as not reflected on my balance, ive called them over 15 different times and have sent countless emails, but im not getting any help, last time i called was on the 5th of Sep and was told i would have the money reversed in a weeks time, but still nothing.

My wife has requested to withdraw some of our savings they told her it will take 10 working days and they said they will penalize her R5000 for withdrawal before 30days notice. Today it's the 15th day we haven't received our money. Let's make people aware of this scammers.

This so called Tymebank are stealing my R12000. Everytime I call I’m told to send an email it’s been 3 weeks now not received my funds. They can’t log onto my account. Thus is a scam bank. Find sign Up. Transfer your money to a better bank soon as you can. Thank me later

On the 13th September I paid a merchant at his premises using my Tymebank debit card. After approximately an hour and the merchant could not find the item I had paid for a refund was done using the same debit card in the same FNB terminal. I was initially told it could take up to 72 hours to reflect back in my account. More than 72 hours later and still no money I contacted Tymebank and lodged a complaint an was given ref CD-99303 as well as asked to send in the proof I had. I immediately scanned these in and sent them. The following day I received an email asking for the same proof again! This time I took photos and sent them in. The day thereafter I contacted them and was told it would take 5 days. on the 6th day still no money so I contacted again and this time got told it takes 15 days! I waited out the unnecessary 15 days and on day 16 still no money, no way of getting answers, being cut off when finally getting through, the usual sorry tale of this scammer banks total lack of service or interest in assisting its clients and then eventually find out I must wait 35 days!! I escalated the problem to their so-called management and yesterday I get told 35 WORKING days! I have discussed this issue with the other recognized banks who all told me this was unacceptable and the money should have been returned to my account literally weeks ago and they all recommended I report the problem to the banking ombudsmen which I have now done. I am telling everyone to avoid this so-called bank now. After being a loyal customer and promoting them to everybody I have no hesitation in telling everyone to rather not bank with them.

I'm getting spam SMS's from this company all of a sudden soliciting services I never opted in for. This is illegal and in breach of the POPI Act.

I would never trust a company that acquires personal details through unlawful means and invades my privacy against my will.

The medical aid that TymeBank offers is a scam. My wife has been paying towards this medical aid every month. They will not issue us a card. They refuse to answer any calls. They are stealing our money every month. We thought this would be a better option as we do not have that much money. It is disgusting how our money is just getting stolen every month and they won't even allow us to cancel. They provide you with a number, but refuse to answer the calls from the number they provide. Please everyone stay away from TymeHealth, it is a huge scam, they just steal your money and you have to stay sick and poor. I want an option to leave the medical aid, as well as our money back!

URGENT!!!! Please can you give me feedback of what's going on with my fraud case on my account. I was told I would receive feedback by the 10th August latest. This is utterly the worst service I've ever seen and I plan on changing my bank now because I've been with Tymebank for years now and being a loyal client I really deserve better service than this. Please get back to me as soon as possible or I'll take this up with the ombudsman. Thank you in advance.

Tymebank deducted my money for a purchase i made but it never reached the merchant. I have been calling and sending emails even proof if non payment from the merchant but still no help at all. They are horrible and i will make sure i tell everyone to never open an account with this useless scum of a bank. I wonder wherr they get the bunch of useless call center agents. I want my money

I used to be very happy with Tyme Bank, until now...
My salary has gotten paid into a Tymebank account for a couple of years now. Usually I then transfer enough money to a different bank account to cover debit orders monthly.
This month when I tried to do that, there were limits imposed on my account, which I didn't authorise.
It resulted in
A. Me being unable to transfer enough to cover my debit orders, resulting in penalties.
B. Me filling my car at a petrol station and not being able to pay, because Tyme has lowered my daily limit without notice or warning.

When I phoned Tyme, they had some lame excuse about Tyme trying to get rid of accounts without biometrics.
Well, they are definitely getting rid of me. I'm closing my account, since I was also unable to register my biometrics on the app. The assistant's advice was to find a kiosk (she was unable to tell me where their kiosks are!). I am unable to do that, since I work a full day and don't have time to go from store to store in the hope that they might have a kiosk. I've never heard anything so ridiculous.
This is the poorest customer service!

I am DESPERATELY trying to reach SOMEONE from this bank. I can't log into my account online as I have forgotten my password. I want to close my account. I have been trying to reach someone to help me for weeks now. I have spent hours on the phone waiting for someone to answer, multiple times. This is beyond ridiculous and I'm going to start spamming you publicly across all social media and online review platforms until someone gets back to me to help me. YOUR SERVICE IS DISGUSTING.
