Frustrating experience with Twine.net

I found that after submitting a bio, an outline of my achievements with musical performances in some highly respected venues and posting examples of my musical compositions-so that I could submit to a small project-I was told that my profile was "poor" and that they could not connect with this client. I was told that I was "undiscoverable". This was posted on their free site-but then asked for "trial subscription" so that I could submit.....I cancelled-weird experience and very discouraging...anyone know what this "undiscoverable" means???

This includes elements like your bio, portfolio examples, and key skills. When these areas aren’t fully completed, it can make it harder for clients to find or connect with you for relevant jobs.

That said, it sounds like we could have done a much better job of explaining this to you and helping you understand how to improve your profile score. We’re constantly working to make our platform easier to use, and your feedback highlights an area where we can improve communication.

Our free plan is designed to provide access to job opportunities, but Twine Pro offers extra benefits like more visibility and direct client contacts. However, we want to ensure that everyone—whether on the free or Pro plan—has a smooth experience. Pay to Apply

Their job posts on LinkedIn are not legit. After you apply their bot emails you to ask you to pay and re-apply off-site. Ignore the positive ratings, this company is a parasitic scam. Your data is not safe.

EDIT: Their responses to reviews confirms this is their intention. The job posts are, in their own words, just to "attract freelancers to Twine". The LinkedIn application doesn't actually go to the job; your contact is just added to a mailing list.

Charging people to apply to jobs is ILLEGAL in the US

Charging people to apply to jobs they advertise? Lol

I saw a job posting on LinkedIn. After applying, they sent me an email saying that I have to apply on their platform, and if there aren't any "free applications" available I have to do a "free trial" which will then charge monthly payments after a month if you don't cancel.

This is called a free trial trap -- and if a company is going to be so dishonest and manipulative in the hiring process, imagine what it would be like to actually use their platform?

this is a fake website i got pro version cold client no one will respond you even after months i have been using twine for 2 months and i have applied for more then 200 clients and i some one even message them on whatsapp and email them its making me very disappointed im going to cancel my pro subscription and i recommend dont take this website seriously and dont buy pro version dont waste money and your time

Recently I switched to Twine Pro and I feel like a FOOL

Recently I switched to Twine Pro as I saw a lot of jobs for music producers were being posted. But now I think those jobs are fake. here's why

1. The client is never online again after posting the job
2. they are all posted under some alphanumeric name and it shows someone has not even bothered posting it from a profile you could cross check.
3. They are all cold jobs with no responses even if you apply immediately.

I am doubting myself now for purchasing the pro version. I feel somewhat like a fool although it would be lovely to be proved wrong about this.

They won't be returning the subscription money.

Update: Flagging it won't help as long as my problem persists. This is the first time I've had this kind of issue with a subscription. Believe me, I have quite a few online subscriptions, and this one has caused a lot of headaches. It's never happened to me before that I had to send so many emails and only received replies after leaving a review on Trustpilot. Nothing personal against any of the staff, but the processing of this issue is a nightmare. I was extremely excited about this page for some extra freelance work. Pity.

They won't be returning the subscription cancellation money. Beware of the scam. I have been on and off the emails with them since the end of June after cancelling my yearly subscription of $89.99 and switching to a monthly subscription. They immediately took the money, and despite writing to them several times, they keep sending me a refund invoice. However, my bank says there was never a refund from them. This is theft! I have many subscriptions online and have never had a problem like this. I asked for a refund on June 21, and the last time I spoke with them was on July 2. Today it is July 23, and still no money in sight. They won't reply to emails anymore.

It seems that there might be a delay on the bank's side, which is unfortunately beyond our control. We have an ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) for the transaction, which can help your bank trace the refund. You will have received a separate email from us detailing this.

Could you please check with your bank again using the ARN provided? Sometimes banks hold up refunds for various reasons, and they should be able to provide you with more information using this reference number.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation. Our customer support team is here to assist you further. Please reach out to us directly with any additional questions or concerns.

£90-a-year to apply for fake jobs

Edit 2 - I've just checked back and I think the new pricing structure is a massive improvement. I'm more than willing to try out a pay-monthly option at a far more reasonable price point in order to see if this is worthwhile. Fair play for adjusting it. If I have a good experience, I'll definitely update my review accordingly.

You can't apply for anything without signing up for a £90 a year subscription. As others have pointed out, almost all of the jobs on Twine.net are expired postings from other services. So you're paying to apply for jobs that haven't been active for months. With a little googling, you can usually find the original ads on Upwork, Freelancer et al and see how long they've been dead for. Better yet, Google 'Twine.net Scam?" and hear about the experiences of countless others.

Expired job offers taken from other websites

Vast majority of the jobs posted are just copy pasted from other websites. They have not been directly uploaded by the employers.

When I find the original job post, I realise the job is often expired or well over 20 days old, even though Twine says it was posted a few hours ago...

So essentially you're paying Twine to apply for jobs that aren't even active anymore. I have no idea how they have such a high score on Trustpilot, must be fake reviews.

As a designer it's a horrible service…

As a designer it's a horrible service to work for. They exploit designers, waste their time and approve jobs you've done then refuse to pay for them. The service is only on the side of hiring companies, don't support those actually doing the work at all.
Stay away, you won't get paid!
