Bought a car chair aged from 18 months to 12 years. No one from the store made me aware about no refunds or exchanges on ‘nursery items’ even though nursery items are for under 12 months old.
No free fitting was offered, no awareness on refund policy. I even said to the colleague if it’s too wide I will exchange it for the other car seat that I bought and he said no problem. (I bought two different ones on the same day)
On return, I had an extremely sarcastic store manager named Joe from the Barnet store talk to me like I was stupid in front of my two children. On complaint to customer services, no further help is being given.
I provided evidence that the store manager lied to me about refund policy saying it is situated in front of us at the checkouts- I asked him to show me this and he pulled a fancy sign from under the checkout and in bright red stated *DO NOT SHOW CUSTOMERS*.

Customer services are worse liaising with the store manager himself to deal with my complaint which is utterly ridiculous and of course the manager said I was using threatening language and a raised voice to him in front of my children!

I am continuing to take this further due to the constant lies let alone the lack of customer awareness which all colleagues must be trained on as there was a lovely big display of all their certificates but no sign to let us know that we cannot change or return these items.

I will expose this abusive manager.

ordered a bike for my daughter, had an email saying it had been dispatched on the Friday yet isn't going to be delivered until the Thursday, i asked if it would be delivered by the Wednesday on standard delivery and was told that it would be , when checking the tracking number with yodel (who are quite poor logistically anyway) they are still yet to receive the parcel 3 days after dispatch, poor service and customer service isn't up to scratch.

Just received my parcel,which was well packaged and in perfect condition.i had an issue last week with my parcel not arriving after Smyths using yodel but as soon as I alerted them to the issue they came back to me to say, I could have a full refund or they would send it out again using a different courier.Now I am happy to have received a quality item for my daughter's birthday,thank you symths!

Very bad experience in Eccles Store, Mcr.
The staff and miserable security man do not make it inviting for adults or kids. Feel like running out the minute I walk in. My kid got stared at by an old and odd looking security man, really horrible to do that to a 6yr old. I find the place expensive and lacking in customer service. Their prices change up and down on a daily basis, so annoying.
Manager lacks any real people skills and most staff are not approachable. I avoid this store altogether now. Better toys to buy with other companies.

Slow service, difficult returns and customer service is poor to non existent... I'm done - they'll never get another penny from me.

The manager at the Peterborough store is extremely rude to customers and unhelpful. Rather than resolve issues in a satisfactory manner he says the case is closed and tells women to leave or they will be made to. Myself, my friends and family were previously loyal customers but will never shop there again.

Don't not buy anything from this con artists. Ordered a brand new Xbox one s for my son for his birthday we opened it only to find out the controllers were faulty.i was told to send it back for repairs which I did and they returned it still faulty and they want me to send it back again.
That ruined my son's birthday. How can a brand new item come out of the bag faulty.all they had to dp was replace the controller but they will not do it.
All the xbox live membership that came with the item expired with only being used for 30 minutes.the item is 3 weeks old now and already 2 repairs has to be done on it?
I am going to report them to the ombudsman.

Smyths Toys Barnsley, absolute joke.manager Jay is a disgrace to the company doesnt give a damn on Trading standards laws just his own decisions . refused to refund full price on receipt as item now 40.00 cheaper. also stated if he replaced item and it went wrong again it wouldnt be there problem .. spend wisely folks and dont shop at Smyyths

Smyth kinnaird park bought a game ps4 should have been xbox went in to ask to exchange for xbox next day with receipt could not exchange because seal was broken staff member was so happy to inform of the policy have bought ps 4 pro a xbox pro a pram and child seat in 2018
Would stay well clear of any purchases no wonder our retail is closing on the high street

I bought a toy safe for my grandson for Christmas (it's rubbish) it has no paper instructions just voice instructions on pressing one of the buttons, but you can't hear or understand the odd voice. We tried everything to put a code in, but it just flashed a red light and the door would not open.

Ordered a push bike for my sons xmas.
Says on the tracker that it’s been delivered and signed for last Tuesday when the delivery date was Thursday no one was in Tuesday left in completel limbo. There also impossible to get a hold off unless u go to the store it self

Bristol store manager is the most arrogant person on the planet. In his words he's happy he's ruined a child christmas, refused to help, would answer the phone and blame his floor staff and customer service team instead of admitting its his own fault. Customer service think that 12 days of no correspondence is ok. No customer service is shown in this company. they take your money but dont give you any items

Please stop using Yodel as your delivery service. They have made a very easy transaction very stressful. They do not wait to get a signature or leave a card as to where the parcels have been delivered. We were told two different address only for each of them to be wrong. We only found our parcels because my husband followed two separate vans. Please consider using someone else.

Children had a pleasant time here. Good range and best bricks and mortar since Toys r us went bust. Prices a bit pricey compared to Amazon.

Absolutely disgusting customer services - they send a £100 voucher no recorded delivery, no signature to my postman or someone stealing my voucher and spending it. I was at work when the transaction took place, along with when the delivery was meant to of be made! I have offered to send my driving license to prove it wasn’t me as they have been able to obtain cctv footage - just before Christmas! Disgusting!

I get that budget places such as home bargains get vaulted toy lines and sell them at a low cost, but when you charge twice the price that they do for the exact same toy then you're clearly ripping people off now since that giraffe got put put down. And your staff are about as educated on your product as Mr Bean is when it comes to steroids.

Great site, easy to use and always get prompt delivery. Some times it is frustrating as they don't have a lot of the items you want available for delivery.

I am very disappointed in the waffle dog toy, it was bought for my daughter's birthday. Its my daughter's favourate programme she loves it so much. When you press his paw waffle it only woofs quietly and doesn't say anything else as I think it is running out of battery. We have been told to take it back to the shop so they can check it and refund it but it is 35 minutes away that's why we had it delieved. only to be refunded as there is no other dogs till January. We pre ordered it as soon as it came out so we have one disappointed child now
