Shish was amazing!! He did not only provided all the historic information we need as tourists, but also provided more “common” facts, which have been helpful during all of our stay in Japan. If you have a chance, you should book him!

We were a group of 7 on the Tokyo Tsukiji fish market food tasting tour. We had the best day with Shish, he is so friendly, passionate, knowledgeable, patient and fun with excellent communication skills, we had lots of laughs and tasted lots of different nothings. It’s a terrific tour & we highly recommend it. Thank you Shish

My husband and I had an amazing walking tour of Tokyo, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Shish. This is our first time in Japan and only our second day here, and Shish set the bar very high for the rest of our tours. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and charismatic. Communication was perfect and appreciated. We are only sad that we dont have Shish for our guide for the rest of our time here in Japan. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

My wife and I did a 7-Day tour with Tourist, Japan, and we both really regret it. First thing to know about this company, is there not like a normal company for tours. They are a middleman, meaning that they make logistical arrangements for you, but don't themselves take you on the tours themselves. The second thing to know, communicating with them is very problematic. It's done through WhatsApp messages, and they are very slow to respond. There's an emergency number, but we never got it to work. The next thing to know is that the hotels that they book are very poor, and for the price quite a rip off. Oftentimes these hotels are far away from the meeting locations that you're supposed to go to every morning to meet up with your quote" tour" for the day. This means taking taxis or walking excessive distances like early in the morning to meet up with your group for the day.

They are also quite unreliable and inconsistent. The tours we took varied significantly. Some were quite good, as they were operated by independent tour providers. Some are just okay. One time, the tour guide didn't show up for the tour, and I was left to arrange logistics with the tour provider, the hired driver, and tourist Japan. While we should have been on the tour, instead, I was arranging logistics so that the entire group didn't get stranded or the day cancelled. While tourist Japan did offer a discount and recognized this as an abject failure, they were unresponsive across several other complaints.

In conclusion, we did manage to have a great time in Japan, but this is despite working with tourist Japan, not because of it.

Anyone would be capable of replicating the experience they provide. All you need to do is find a hotel room in the city, and then book independent tours each day for yourself. By my estimate, this would save approximately $2,000 out of a $4,000 tour package. My wife and I typically love to do part of our vacation as a tour package, but this one was an abject failure. We did quite enjoy our time in Japan, but this wasn't to do with anything that this company offered. And don't even get me started on the trains and the train transfers... Seriously look elsewhere!

Our trip today was guided by Shishi, a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We walked through Tsukiji market and the shrines surrounding it and learned a lot of interesting facts about history, culture and the cuisine of Japan. Not only that, but he took his time to give our small group some helpful tips about the city transport and more sightseeing opportunities. Overall a pleasant and comfortable experience :)

Today’s tour through Tsujiki market was amazing, full of good flavors and lots of fun,thanks to our guide Shish. Shish is a great guide, giving us a lot information about the place,food and also Shrines.We enjoyed our time with great vibes around us!He also extended amazing support in giving us subway tips on how to move around Tokyo.We warmly recommend him as a guide for any tour!

Since this is our first trip to Japan, Tourist Japan has met our expectations so far, from the planning to answering our questions. We just completed our second day and we were paired with a enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide named Aki. We had a splendid time at Tsukiji Fish Market, trying different delicacies offered. I highly recommend Tourist Japan for your first trip to Japan.

Even though I lived in Japan before for 9 years, I learned so much from our Tour Guide Aki! He was so amazing because of his knowledge of history: energetic and passionate spirit and terrific sense of humor! His attention to detail and the way he interacted with all of his group were so helpful and enjoyable. If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo ask for Aki and I guarantee you’ll be as happy and grateful as I am!

The guided trip to Mount Fuji was truly wonderful. Our guide was friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely caring throughout the day. He talked with us during the drive, sharing interesting stories and insights not only about Mount Fuji but also about Japanese culture and daily life. He was very considerate of everyone’s requests and needs, making sure we were comfortable and happy the entire time.

The itinerary itself was excellent, the choice of locations we visited was perfect, and the planning took into account the weather conditions, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
What made the experience special was how personal it felt the guide took time to get to know us, asked questions, and created a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It felt more like a day out with friends than a typical group tour. Highly recommended!

Shish was a personable and professional tour guide. He went above and beyond to share Tokyo with our small group. Also, he personally helped me with other transportation details. It was a great day.

We had an overall great time! The bus stopped at 5 locations to see Mt Fuji, temples, gardens and lunch. Would recommend comfortable shoes for walking and lots of steps, but every climb or walk was worth the view. This was definitely a tour for great photos, not for history lessons or cultural knowledge.
