I had the” Best Tokyo tour “with my extraordinary guide “Reiko.” She gave us detailed information of history of all the amazing sites we visited today. She is extremely knowledgeable and very kind to tske pics as we requested. She also able to give us recommendations of places we wanted to visit on our time . She made sure we all were taken care of and has a terrific personality and best guide for me. Thank you Reiko for my best tour in my second day of Japan. I highly recommend this tour “Best of Tokyo “ with Reiko. 💯

We recently completed our Japan and Korea tour, and one of the absolute highlights was our first day in Tokyo with our guide, Shish. Despite the rain and our jet lag leaving us a bit low on energy, Shish completely transformed the day with his enthusiasm and positive attitude.
He is exceptionally charismatic, knowledgeable, and an outstanding communicator with excellent people skills. He connected with us effortlessly, despite our different backgrounds, and made the entire experience both seamless and genuinely enjoyable.
It’s rare to come across someone who leaves such a strong impression, especially at such a young age and we truly appreciate the company for pairing us with him. A heartfelt thank you to Shish for making our first day in Tokyo so memorable.

Amazing customer service and my guide was so friendly and great travelling company

The guides are excellent and passionate at their tours and the tours are well planned.

HORRIBLE Tour Experience.... Absolutely terrible for TOP dollar.

We paid more than $1K/day/couple for 5 days of tours. Tour guide #1: been in the country for 6 months, and her recitation of information was what was on the signs. Tour guide #2: spent 80% of his time talking about himself.... "I can't tell you much about the attraction or the local site people get mad". Tour guide #3, and I quote, "I'm not a tour guide, they're all busy I work in the office". Tour guide #4 was actually good but by then we fired the company in disgust only to be told 25 times "you won't get any refund"...how about for NON PERFORMANCE? I'm in the process of disputing the entire trip via the cc company and I will leave reviews until I get satisfaction.

Wonderful day in Tokyo with the guide Jiro, such a pleasant person, professional, smiling, patient. I recommend him. It was also fun to cross the city with the metro/subway to go from one place to another.

Tokyo walking tour with Jiro was fantastic. He is a wonderful, kind, and knowledgeable person. He is engaging when talking about the place, it's history and freely shares his experiences for advice. Not only is he helpful on the walking tour but offers assistance outside of it such as commuting, places to eat (anywhere in Japan), and any other issues you may have he will do his best to help.

Jiro was a fantastic guide and made the tour very easy. He was very welcoming and so helpful when navigating different spaces in Tokyo. Absolutely recommend Jiro for anyone looking to explore Tokyo!

Jiro is an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable of the area and is very kind. He was able to show us around Tokyo and avoid most of the crowds. He was even kind enough to send us extra pictures and videos in case we missed some. He even gave us many restaurant recommendations!

I booked a tour from Tokyo to Osaka. There was a meeting point listed in the PDF in Tokyo. I went to the meeting point excited and eager and way earlier than the time specified of 8:45am. I waited and waited and noone showed up. It was highly disappointing and stressful.

Tourist Japan claimed that they had made it clear that I was supposed to travel to Osaka by myself. It was NOT CLEAR. Why list a meeting point in Tokyo with a meeting time otherwise???

It is not a tour if one is expected to make one's own way to Osaka. I wanted the reassurance of going in a group, which is why I booked a tour in the first place.

If I am supposed to go on my own, why book a tour at all?

They don't tell you about having to meet the guides at different meeting points in Osaka either til well after the expiry date for refund set by them.

Again if it is not a fully guided tour, it should have been a lot cheaper. Another deceptive behaviour.

Don't go with them. They obviously hire local guides to do day tours for them only. NOT a true tour by any means.

Jiro was a wonderful tour guide. He met us on time, exactly where he said he would be. He found us and checked us in with no problems. He was very experienced and gave a very friendly and thorough tour without any sense of hurry or deadline. He was also very kind in helping to get our "technology" working so we could share pictures. Most of the group was on a full day tour, but he took time to help us get a taxi back to our hotel. I'd take a tour with Jiro again anytime.

Tourist Japan have been wonderful and on the front foot in all their very quick responses to any of my questions, of which there were a few!
Then Jiro was in touch before today's Toyko Tour and was very prompt, helpful and helped the 17 odd thousand steps done very enjoyable 😉
Could not have done the subway without him... also went out of his way to take us to return point for our hotel, 9/10 only 1 point less for the fun of losing him for a moment at the famous Crossing!

So far I have been having a great time! The tour guides are so nice and willing to answer any question you may have! I was lucky to have Shish as a tour guide two days in a row! He went above and beyond showing us extra places he found interesting while also providing knowledgeable commentary!

Our Tokyo tour with Shish was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From start to finish, everything was handled seamlessly. His time management was exceptional, allowing us to experience so much without ever feeling rushed. He managed the group effortlessly and made sure everyone felt included and comfortable.
What really stood out was how engaging he was. He didn’t just guide us, he connected with us. Every location came alive through his storytelling, and his knowledge of Tokyo, its history, and culture was incredibly impressive. You could ask him anything and he always had a thoughtful answer.
It wasn’t just a tour, it felt like a meaningful experience. Highly recommended.

The tour guide was amazing. Very helpful with all her local knowledge. Personality makes such a difference on tours & our guide was wonderful.

Tourist Japan is a company that does not care about its customers. The only thing they seem to care about is their bottom line. Their tours are over priced, provide zero value. They are just a middle man that does not properly vet their guides.
Their customer service is slow and disingenuous.
Take a sec and google what the tour you want they offer and give the actual company providing the tour a chance, you will get better customer service and a better experience.
Don’t waste your time or money with them.

We highly recommend this tour and Jiro in particular. Jiro’s English was very good. Jiro shared not only his extensive knowledge of Tokyo and the sites we visited, but also introduced us to the city’s lesser‑known hidden gems.

Jiro is an experienced and knowledgeable guide with great english speaking ability who is personable and a joyous companion to spend touring Tokyo. His insight into Japanese history and culture provided us detail. He was flexible friendly and accommodating. He made the tour a stand out for our party of 4 and a memorable experience reflecting his passion for all things Japan and not to mention his international experiences too. A+. A fabulous experience. We had an excellent first day touring Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi! We were so lucky to have Jiro as our guide—he is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, with a great sense of humor. It was a truly memorable experience!
