Totally RAD Hub has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional companies I’ve dealt with as a parent.

I accidentally signed up while looking at lesson prices and emailed straight away to cancel. Their own system confirmed that cancellation would be immediate and that no payment was due. Despite this, my daughter was taken out of class without my consent, and I was invoiced. I paid in good faith for those initial lessons, three in total, which was all she attended.

Since then, I’ve been bombarded with daily invoice reminders for lessons that never happened, and have received an aggressive, unsigned email threatening legal action and debt collection. They now claim my daughter attended more lessons, a claim I completely dispute and have seen no proof of. I was never told lessons would continue, never sent a schedule, and had already cancelled in writing.

This company uses pressure tactics, hides behind vague policies, and ignores clear communication. I would strongly warn other parents to avoid them altogether.

Extremely disappointing experience. The company repeatedly failed to show up for scheduled sessions without any notice or explanation. On top of that, I was incorrectly billed — I was forced to pay for a smaller class size then my daughter was taken as a larger group. I attempted to resolve the issue by emailing to cancel my subscription, but my messages were completely ignored. There’s zero accountability or customer service. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for music tuition — this was a total waste of time and money.

Totally bad review to this one! How many times do we have to ask for cancellation and no one responds us and they still asking us to pay the bills which is my son stopped that lesson since he stop doing it and never learned from it. If i have to file a case to this I will do as this is inappropriate anymore! This cause us a lot of stress. This company is likely scamming us to pretend that our kids were learned from
them. I so regret that I signed up this and in the end we will be the one who will get stress because of them.

The most awful unprofessional company! This company were used by my son’s school for music lessons, until they have now FINALLY lost the contract, after so many parents raised complaints. They set up a direct debit on my account and so persisted to take money for sessions months ahead, without prior notification or permission, even though they were owing sessions to me for their persistent cancellations!

It took months of chasing and involving the school to finally receive a refund. They were fully prepared to keep £150 of our family’s money.
I have been told by my son that the sessions were ‘very short’. Highly doubtful they were the 20 or 30 minutes they were supposed to be!! Awful! Please avoid at all costs.

most bizarre drum lesson I’ve ever had. I think I hit Drums for no more than three minutes in a one hour lesson. The teacher was playing when I arrived and I thought it was another new drum player because he was clearly not very experienced and in fact a guitar and piano teacher who appears to have more recently started playing the drums himself.

he then proceeded to talk through most of the session which in some ways was nice because it helped me explore why I might want to commit to the Drums, but can’t see myself getting very good at the Drums if 95% of the time is us chatting .

Terrible customer service. Ignore emails. Asked for 2 months worth of money paid straight away, and ignored my emails to ask why. Sent daily emails and texts saying I'm was well behind payments a week before payment was due. Again ignored all emails.

Terrible service and engagement. Put my children on lessons I didn’t want and charged me. Now 6 months later still getting random invoices and texts asking for money. Whilst I am under no obligation to pay it is incredibly frustrating. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Same problems as everyone else. Our son is autistic (and very musical), but they were chronically reluctant to set up a pre-lessons conversation. We pulled out, but I'm now getting relentless texts & emails demanding money. I'm a Guardian journalist and easy to find. Now working on a story about all this

My daughter was due to start lessons back in October 2024. I paid the invoice I was sent for the first three lessons. We were advised when lessons were due to start there was a delay due to the teachers obtaining their DBS check. We were only updated for the first two lessons, then they stopped updating us so we started getting more invoices, which I refused to pay because no lessons had started and we weren't being told anything. The invoices kept coming and late fees being added, still no sign of any lessons happening. Fast forward to now and after eventually receiving a refund a couple of months ago I thought we were done with this company, but they have sent me a new invoice for lessons due to start in July, when as far as we are concerned, the school are not going to be using them and I definitely do not want to use them! I am getting urgent emails daily to pay the invoice and have been responding to them to tell them to remove me from their mailing list and stop emailing me, I do not want lessons and will not be paying. But the emails and text messages keep on coming. Absolutely awful company and terrible organisation.

Take payment whene they want. Cancels lessons drop of hat as yet the third teacher has left in one academic year! Then 6 weeks later emails On a Friday to say new teacher is starting takes payment two days later despite telling them I DO NOT want lessons any more due to shocking customer service lack of consistency. Change in teachers! How dare this company continue to operate like this.
How dare they take money as and when they feel like it ? Without prior warning and 6 weeks after cancelling lessons.

No wonder trust reviews are shocking and they are being given notice by many schools.

I feel it’s important to share my experience with this company, as a warning to other parents.

My son has been taking piano lessons through this provider since Reception and is now finishing Year 2. Over the years, I’ve made a significant financial investment—not just in the lessons themselves, but also in purchasing a piano for home practice.

Despite this, I’ve seen very limited progress in his musical development. I’ve never seen him perform at school or demonstrate any notable piano skills that would justify the extremely high cost of these lessons—currently nearing £1 per minute plus VAT.

What’s worse is the company’s complete lack of compassion or flexibility when it comes to financial hardship. I explained clearly that I was struggling financially and asked for the lessons and payments to stop. I was told that after the final invoice of £43 was paid, no further money would be taken.

Yet this morning, I was shocked to discover more money had been withdrawn from my account via direct debit; without my consent and also not receiving any invoice for today’s payment.

This kind of behaviour is unethical and feels like a scam. They continue to take advantage of families, ignoring any financial concerns and going back on their written assurances. I’ve now reached the point where I am considering filing a formal complaint with the Financial Ombudsman.

Please think twice before enrolling your child with this company. Ask for full transparency, and don’t assume your best interests—or your child’s development—will be at the heart of their service.

The singing tutor I had this afternoon was excellent.

Seems like it's a good concept much needed but the company needs to get itself sorted.

Good tutors are let down as well as students by a poor back office. Maybe reviews are being listened too? I hope so

Shockingly bad!! My experience with RAD Music School has been extremely frustrating. I booked vocal lessons for my daughter but received a disorganised, uncommunicative service that failed to deliver on its promises.

I strongly advise against using RAD Music School. They failed to provide the service I paid for, ignored concerns, and showed no accountability. Save yourself the hassle—look elsewhere.

Major Issues:
• Poor Communication – It took over a month of emails just to get basic information. Responses were delayed, vague, or unhelpful.

• Missing/Inaccurate Lesson Notes – Notes were either absent or irrelevant, including ones for keyboard lessons, despite the booking being for vocal lessons.

• Unprofessional Attitude – After raising concerns, I received a dismissive, sarcastic response. The lessons were far from “awesome ”—they were boring and unhelpful

I've been working as a teacher for this company (both the schools and the Rad Live teams) since November 2024. Overall it's been a good experience and a really helpful and engaged team on hand.
Only reason for 4 stars is that there were some delays with my first couple of payments, but the team were helpful in chasing up and making sure it came through and it's been pretty consistently fine since then.

My year 6 son has been having guitar lessons. He didn’t want to go to start with but from his very first lesson he came out buzzing and looking forward to the next one. He has a one on three lesson and it’s great for his confidence mixing with like minded children who are not just from his class group. He’s learned loads and he’s happy to just have a go. A great experience so good the children get this opportunity.

My son has had piano lessons in his school with rad for 2 years, he really enjoys them and looks forward to it every week!

My son started guitar lessons 6 months ago. He's 8 years old and quite shy so we weren't sure whether he'd want to stick with it. He shares a lesson with 2 others and we've been so pleased with how he's doing. His tutor Tom is so supportive and encouraging and has really helped bring him out of his shell, without making him feel on the spot. Tom is a natural musician and I think his passion has inspired our son. He also loves the real mix of music they are learning.

The group class means the lessons are more affordable and our son is getting a great introduction to learning an instrument. He wants to be in a band when he's older now!

My son has been having drum lessons with this company through his school for quite a while now…
Initially seemed okay, the teacher would come and get him from class for the lesson. Then the day changed and my son missed so many as the teacher just seemed to sit in a room waiting for him - even though my son was unaware the day had changed.
Attempted to find a number to speak to Totally Rad but just was not available. Emailed in the end, which just got us nowhere as they take no responsibility for their poor service so I have paid for a large number of lessons we have not received
On top of that I received an invoice 2 weeks ago for lessons which don’t start for another 3 weeks (June) - went to pay online and I have been charged a £9.36 late payment fee!!

Absolutely dreadful company. Lessons missed by the teacher and then the teacher left, so we have paid for more than we had. This was months ago. Despite repeatedly emailing they have totally refused to respond to any emails, you cannot call them as they have no number. Several people at our school have been left out of pocket. Do not use under any circumstances. Wish I'd listened to the online reviews before starting with them. The actual teachers were fine. Its the set up of the company, the online bot, the dreadful service and the keeping of peoples money and just hoping they give up and go away that is absolutely dreadful. Don't use under any circumstances.

Absolutely shocking company to deal with. 20 minute lessons are really 10 as there is no planning or preparation given to each lesson by the teacher and children quibble over choosing a song they want to sing for half the lesson. (Several were cancelled in the beginning too!)
Additionally I get 2 texts and 2 emails A DAY chasing me for money for lessons that she 'may' have in TWO months time!! If they are not paid on time interest is added to the bill!! They are relentless chasing money!I want to cancel with immediate effect but have been told I have to pay until the end of May! Who deals with people like this?! SHOCKING!
Emails are responded to by what seems like AI and signed off anonymously!! Fuming that I have spent up to £100 on absolutely nothing! This is not a company it is a scam!
